i ,too, prefer the old look of the kwivers. Gameplay change i am ok with, but could do without as well.

I liked the old Kwiver also more then the new ones for the same reason. The looks and the simplicity.

@dvh What specifically do you miss? The smaller mushroom head look? That it was a single humanlike pawn that can be adopted into other colonies without much fuss (temperature considerations for example)? Do you want to play a Kwiver colony and have apparel matter more?

I would like to see a form that can be translated and displayed in foreign languages. Right now, the descriptions of buildings can only be displayed in English.

Changes, highlights include: "door" and a right click menu on your kwiver with a special ability (ability will be removed, i just kept in some stuff i was experimenting with. try this amazing abillity while you can.)

Also buildings, there's a Kwiver tab now and you can make buildings, i'm going to slowly port over the base system i initially wanted to add to this mod (that try got too complex and was poorly implemented due to adding a giant interconnected web of things all at once)

I usually keep a running list of what changes i make for patch notes but i'm forgoing that atm because of the amount changes i have planned, so you're going have to figure out what i'm doing by playing mostly. Should be able to keep the updates coming without busting anything to badly all at once though.

@PUR3ICE An issue I saw too while figuring out what direction to take them the last 10 days. I was going to turn this into a full on arctic biome ice-cream race but i couldn't control what biomes enemy bases populate on the world map, best i can do is to hide the faction. Couldn't make a race you raid and insta die of heat.

Right now they're rated for 0-30c, likely in the future it'll turn into ~make a central brood oven for your most important aliens and their eggs + send weaker aliens outside into the cold to do things~

They now need x2 the food as humans but can eat anything without being sad; food poisonings still a thing, the a the three ways i can figure to turn it off currently are sub-par.

I included proper C# code of my own for the 1st time in one of my releases (taken from a unreleased project i have) so they now eat in place off the ground rather then pick things up and walk off/to a table. They will still pick the food up if you manually queue the action though.

If you want to keep the oreo/smore looking things, they need abit more temperature resistance. They can't wear cloth for insulation and having 18°Celsius maximum is a little bit to low for them. Atleast for the most normal runs.

If you want to keep the old red Kwiver, it would be just enough if they can wear vanilla clothing , aside from helmets and hats.

Okay so i did a thing and Kwiver are now giant oreos/smore looking things. Some of the assets are a tiny bit rough atm but will get tightened up as the week goes on/ balance will get fiddled with. Im keeping this update on the ~low-down~ for the next several days so if you have feedback shoot it my way now.

Kwiver can no longer wear cloths since that's what stopped the update from 1.1 > 1.2 and requires a massive amount of running mod support to keep functional, funnily people kept trying to send me "Updated" versions of my mod that didn't actually update things.

They now regenerate limbs and since armour collecting is less important they may become more of a "have 1 or 2 in my colony" type race rather then something you main.

There's an alienrace related bug atm that wasn't showing up in my tester rimworld so i think it's a temporary issue with the latest alienrace mod update, doesn't causes any play issues.

@pur3ICE You might enjoy my Zeta Reticulan race mod, which is what i've been working on most of the past month. As for the Kwiver I currently have a ton of assets already drawn up, enough that the arts ~pretty much~ handled; the thing was i also added this whole resource generating/entirely new base building system/egg system and it was just feeling like i was changing to much and it might to to far off base rimworld to be fun or intuitive.

And while it's not Kwiver, using what i've learned from the kwiver rework, i'm well into a hidden faction raider race of giant living crystals. Likely i'll release the first evil giant crystal later this week and trickle more crystals into it like i've been doing with my Zetas and their hybrids.

Ah to bad that this mod is on hold. As i liked it the most out of the alienraces mods.
Most of them are some fantasy based races that felt totally missfit in this game and the other half was straight up op or just some loli girls.
This one and Geerze are the best.

@putti Thanks for the report, I've fixed the missing <recipePrerequisiteTags> property and the issue will be fixed next release (Which is a weekish away b/c there a decent amount of content being added, even got a coder making me an exciting never-before-seen mechanic)

Thankfully~ not being able to craft veils (Masks don't fit their heads) is a minorish thing that i don't feel to, to bad about putting off a few days (You'll have to wear what you find on enemies or traders)

Cool Mod. Might be some thing strange. I picked the Kwiver scenario. Isnt it a tribal start? Some tribal equitment are not avalible like in vanilla tribal start. War veil and wooden mask and most other tribal stuff are missing. only tribalwear is avalible. ^^

@Minister of judicial police The eye placement is shifted, the shading intensity different, side view has a bigger gap in the middle of the cranium, they have a different number of ridges on the bottom half of their heads, their cheeks stick out less.

If you missed those things then you must have compared the same view against itself before you made your comment.
