@HypeZorg - Just a shame that my mod is now obsolete because of the latest SE update though :/ But hey, at least keen got the weather system working now in a state thats actually fun :)
humlegås 26 Jun, 2020 @ 2:00pm
@yoshiwoof22 found out that i had a mod that f* triton up for me. So nothing to do with your awesome mod!
YoshiWoof22  [author] 26 Jun, 2020 @ 5:38am
@HypeZorg - Theoretically, if you remove the mod, my weather should now automatically be replaced by Keen's version since yesterday's update. If it doesnt, consider using the command "/weather clear" - it should solve the issue.
humlegås 26 Jun, 2020 @ 4:34am
how do i stop the weather on trition after i deleted the mod?
YoshiWoof22  [author] 30 May, 2020 @ 5:31am
@Jonesy501st - Because of the way Keen implemented weather, that is sadly not possible at this stage.
Jonesy501st 29 May, 2020 @ 9:24pm
does the fog goes away when inside a grid?
YoshiWoof22  [author] 24 May, 2020 @ 3:59am
@forrestaubrey - Alright. If you do end up finding the cause of the conflict, please inform me so I can look into solutions for it.
Yuuzang 23 May, 2020 @ 6:51pm
well, narrowed it down to some kind of mod conflict in my world, tried pastebin but the log exceeded my size limit. Would test more but considering how long it takes to load my world... The last part of the error is a null reference error. Since it is a mod conflict on my part, ill try to figure it out.
YoshiWoof22  [author] 23 May, 2020 @ 4:12am
@forrestaubrey - Haven't had any CTDs during my testing. I'd need to see a log to look into it further, so i would appreciate it if you could send it (f.E. via pastebin).
Yuuzang 22 May, 2020 @ 9:46pm
happen to know what would cause a ctd whenever an event tries to spawn?
YoshiWoof22  [author] 14 May, 2020 @ 2:08am
@Makuta Nazo - Im still trying to figure out why exactly DS isnt working, because technically it should . Progress is slow, but that's because of school/work and my new PvE mod taking a front seat.

Feel free to make your own versions for your own planets, just dont forget to credit me and KptKosmit (as stated in the code). I'll be spending more time with the weather system (by f.e. making weather strength more gradual) once I get my upcoming PvE mod to a playable public beta state.
Makuta Nazo 14 May, 2020 @ 12:56am
So to clarify the below, i can't say, yoink the code, rewrite some parameters so it works for my custom modded world, with modded planets, and slot that into my dedicated server because dedicated breaks everything?

bummmmerrr... i've got a semi hard survival PVE world, and the starting planet is a frozen snowball with no o2 and high gravity, and i wanted to throw in random weather for funsies.
YoshiWoof22  [author] 12 May, 2020 @ 12:44pm
@British89 - Your thought is not far off from what I originally suspected the issue to be. However, it turns out to be more trouble than anticipated, and Keen (in their infinite wisdom) broke some parts of weather that i need for DS support.
British89 12 May, 2020 @ 9:45am
Sorry i didn't catch your message, looks like someone else beat me to it, Same happens for me as in the video shown by Stonelords, Might it have something to do with the fact in Offline mode and Public "coop" mode the script runs from the person hosting, but on a dedicated server there is no player host? I'm just typing nonsense at this point so ill leave you to it lol.
YoshiWoof22  [author] 12 May, 2020 @ 8:43am
Investigation in progress...
Stonelords 12 May, 2020 @ 8:02am
so I tried it on a DS but my log did not safe but I did get a video of it with the DS console showing it https://drive.google.com/open?id=1_eVHR4tVmtdUSlOaJHfSKN9Q3u7PhDm-
YoshiWoof22  [author] 12 May, 2020 @ 7:36am
@British89 - I've discussed this issue with some more experienced modders, and it seems that the mod should in fact work on DS. Could you please provide me with a DS-Log of a session where this has been happening? Would be appreciated...
British89 12 May, 2020 @ 3:35am
That would be great thank you, I can definitely test it for you if need be.
YoshiWoof22  [author] 11 May, 2020 @ 11:26pm
@British89 - I think I found the root cause. I'll try getting a patch out ASAP.
British89 11 May, 2020 @ 4:09pm
I just tried it and had it running for a couple of hours on a dedicated server, the weather remained clear and nothing happened, It works fine single-player though, bit of a shame really.

On a dedicated server without your mod you are required to enable admin creative in the f11 menu to be able to use the /weather commands, dunno if that can help you fix it or not.
YoshiWoof22  [author] 11 May, 2020 @ 2:07pm
@British89 - I don't see why it shouldn't, it uses keen's vanilla methods.
British89 11 May, 2020 @ 1:00pm
Would this work on dedicated servers? Thanks.
Dusty Lens 20 Apr, 2020 @ 8:18am
Also I would like to extend my appreciation for making the mod so accessible! I'm currently running it on a custom world thanks entirely to how simple it was to plug everything in.
YoshiWoof22  [author] 20 Apr, 2020 @ 6:19am
@TheFinalEvent97 - Posted an info for you and Splitsie in his discord :)

@Dusty Lens - Thanks for the feedback mate, a balance patch is in the works too.
Dusty Lens 19 Apr, 2020 @ 9:13pm
This mod is wonderful for making the weather system actually, you know, something that exists. However I do feel that the heavier weather systems are still happening far too frequently. In my current playthrough I feel as though I'm constantly socked in by heavy weather and having light snow or a clear sky is nearly a noteworthy rarity.
TheFinalEvent97 19 Apr, 2020 @ 6:05pm
Would it be possible to have a version of this for Omnicron? Splitsie in his discord said he wants to add weather to his Survival Impossible series but wants the weather to trigger/change on its own. https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/id/Splitsie/myworkshopfiles/?p=1&numperpage=30
YoshiWoof22  [author] 15 Apr, 2020 @ 2:34am
@trixyogert - Interesting discovery, and thanks for the quick response aswell. Glad you got it sorted :)
trixyogert 15 Apr, 2020 @ 1:59am
But thank you for the quick response
trixyogert 15 Apr, 2020 @ 1:58am
I have found the mod that caused it strangely enough its S-battle suit mod
YoshiWoof22  [author] 15 Apr, 2020 @ 1:44am
@trixyogert - I don't know if your issue is directly related to my mod, but try running the vanilla weather command "/weather SnowHeavy" on the planet.

If it crashes when using the command, open a ticket on the SE support page. If that's the case, the issue is unrelated to my mod.

If the command works without crashing and you get weather, you can use "/weather Clear" to remove it again, get back to me here in the comments and I'll give you more details for further troubleshooting.
trixyogert 15 Apr, 2020 @ 1:04am
if anyone could help

I have been playing with a few friends of mine and one went to Triton with the weather on i went to go check it out and my game crashed i have retested it multiple times it happens pretty much as soon as i enter the atmosphere. I have tried removing the mod from the game but it still crashes

the game works fine without the mod im able to go onto the planet no problems anyone have any idea how to fix this
mrwilson 13 Apr, 2020 @ 1:47pm
thanks anyway, i chose to delete all thing a restart the work :P
YoshiWoof22  [author] 13 Apr, 2020 @ 5:24am
@mrwilson - I need more details (like loaded mods) before I can try fixing it.

If possible, load a backup and wait for the fog/snow on Triton to go away, and then remove the planet.
mrwilson 12 Apr, 2020 @ 10:17pm
hello, can you help me about that problem pleaaase??
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2059175730
I removed Triton and now is stuck the fog in entire universe :(
Gazzy 11 Apr, 2020 @ 5:42am
thanks, sorry i didnt look through the comment thread. hope to see them!
YoshiWoof22  [author] 11 Apr, 2020 @ 4:35am
@ComradeDyatlov - As mentioned in a previous comment - the other planets are in the works, should have them out within the next few days since I finally have time. And yes, the weather generator mods are made to be modular and inter-compatible :)
Gazzy 10 Apr, 2020 @ 4:50am
IF you have the spare time, could you make this available to all the planets? speaking of which are the various weather scripts you currently have on the workshop compatible with eachother? yes i feel like that might be a stupid question.
YoshiWoof22  [author] 7 Apr, 2020 @ 4:06am
@Stonelords - I have no idea, will have to investigate this.
Stonelords 7 Apr, 2020 @ 3:38am
im on my single player world now and it not changing the weather just out of curiosity the there fix to Game.SessionComponents.MySectorWeatherComponent.ApplyParticle they put out yesturday could that of broken it
Stonelords 7 Apr, 2020 @ 3:08am
I got this on my dedicated server and I dont think it does cause the weather not changed but it being on for over an hour

YoshiWoof22  [author] 3 Apr, 2020 @ 12:15am
@PixelatedDrake - I don't own a dedicated server so I can't really test that for any bugs, but Im aware that weather changes on planets regardless of player presence. However, I have no clue why your players aren't actually experiencing any of the effects - I'll look into it with KptKosmit.

@dRuPpI - Sorry for the late response, youre comment never showed up in my notifications.
I'm working on the Earthlike/Alien/Titan weather generators, and they'll be out somewhat soon.
PixelatedDrake 2 Apr, 2020 @ 5:27pm
Something odd seems to be happening with the weather system by the way. We have this on a server, and the console shows the weather mod trying to put weather on the different planets (even if no one is on them), but, players are not experiencing any of the weather effects, regardless of what the server attempts to spawn.
dRuPpI 30 Mar, 2020 @ 9:15pm
is it possible to get something like this for the entire star system scenario?
Tonic 29 Mar, 2020 @ 7:12am
dont suppose for the time being there is a way to remove fog
YoshiWoof22  [author] 29 Mar, 2020 @ 4:27am
@Tonic - Sadly, thats a problem with the Keen-implementation of Jakaria's weather effects, and nothing I can really fix. Unless keen puts out an update (very unlikely), or we get a new weather mod that doesn't have this problem, I don't think we'll be seeing such a thing anytime soon :(
Tonic 29 Mar, 2020 @ 4:19am
is there a way to make weather effects not appear in regulated rooms? it would add a lot to be able to go inside where it feels warm
YoshiWoof22  [author] 28 Mar, 2020 @ 12:48pm
@Apothicon - A modular system is on our to-do list, but it will still take some time for us to work on that. The Mars version uses modded weather for martian sandstorms, and it will be a required dependency for the remaining mods soon aswell. We are going to add more effects down the line, but it will take some time, so we ask you to be patient :)

@PixelatedDrake - I'll see if i can adjust the ratio a bit more, I've noticed it too. Thanks for the feedback :)
PixelatedDrake 28 Mar, 2020 @ 11:57am
Been playing with this for a little bit, the weather still seems to go to heavy fog/snow conditions pretty regularly, enough to make things quite annoying for a survival game :(
Apothicon 28 Mar, 2020 @ 10:27am
is it possible you could make this compatible with modded planets and modded weather? Basically just a way to configure this mod to trigger different weather on a planet other then triton.
