Thanks. I don't think it was an intentional reference, but I do like the vibes of the Fallout games.

tbpf, I always thought the raids were some kinda reference for Fallout 4...DumpsterFire, and "The Institute" both feature as factions/cities in that as well...only the Institute there is mostly cyborgs and highly advanced tech (which fits with cloning)

tbpf the raids aren't "too untowards" but being linked to the United Cities Rise/Fall it kinda doesn't fit the area. I would probably replace that couple of campaigns with a copy of the original and remove the "World State Triggers" on the campaigns you copied, that way they don't mix and mingle with UC Stuff.

Is it bad I like to build my base in the very place where angels fear to tread, because of random food depletion? I mean, I usually just buy food from Squinn and sell the Low-tier (Read: Catun 1) Weapons I craft on a normal bench to get rich lol
Myst Leissa 13 okt 2024 om 13:47
Oh wait I see what you did, you copied the Slave Trader Faction to use as the Labs, and then used a world state to change the town for the reproduction...interesting mechanic, but has the unintended side-effect of establishing a raid that was MEANT for UC in Shek Land...probably will want to remove the Campaigns list if you plan on ever making it raid free.

So why does this Mod create a faction called "The Institute" and subjective faction raids? Not that I mind the added content, but why don't you list that as a effect? I mean, I could dig in the files if you'd like proof I know it's this mod...but a simple enable/import/disable/import removes the town :/

Ok, it's a false error. Mods run fine together, the game sometimes just says there is a mod dependency issue when there is not. Just ignore it and run the game.
Myst Leissa 23 jul 2023 om 17:43
Will you be able to update it to match the current version or ...?
EuchreJack  [auteur] 23 jul 2023 om 17:42
Looks like Child Mod has updated, and possibly caused an issue due to this mod not having been updated in years.
Myst Leissa 23 jul 2023 om 15:13
Just a thought, there's a mod dependency recognition issue with the child mod package, not sure what that's about but even though i have Child Mod Active and Placed in the prior priority this mod doesn't recognize it.

Thats to bad.
EuchreJack  [auteur] 9 nov 2022 om 23:42
@Zatio: The game doesn't support replacing one existing character with another character. Children remain Children forever, ala the original Sims.
Zatio 8 nov 2022 om 9:33
Is there a way to just restrict the child stats, that way when the child is replaced with an adult version you could start from the max child stats instead of getting a lower stat adult later.
EuchreJack  [auteur] 27 jan 2022 om 21:35
My idea was that the player would get reports on the progress of their offspring as they provided funding to help the kid.
JessesanMan 26 jan 2022 om 20:15
That could work, actually. Probably could make different lines for different races. Greenlander's going to a "cousin's farm". Scorchies heading to a "well-off relative in the UC". Shek getting apprenticed to a warrior.
EuchreJack  [auteur] 21 jan 2022 om 22:48
Child to adult, as far as I can tell, is impossible. The children are a different race than the adults, so it requires swapping an existing character for a whole new character.
Would you be happy with a 100 stat Child being replaced with a 5 stat Adult? Nah, that would suck!
What I CAN do is create a mod where the player raises someone "off-screen". Maybe even have the player be able to visit their child as kinfolk, then support them for a bit and return to recruit as an adult. But its a swap, not at all like animals growing up.
JessesanMan 19 jan 2022 om 23:16
We need someone to make a growing up mod now. It should be doable. After all, you can buy animals as pups and they grow.

Still, this will be great for roleplaying a story.
EuchreJack  [auteur] 23 feb 2021 om 18:26
Unfortunately, no.

Do they grow up at all?

Wow. I found one of this mod's npcs and I talked to them thinking it was going to have dialogue options or a price or something you'd have to do.
Nope! Talk to them and wbam, your amazon prime package is out for delivery.

Sorta, this mod is the equivalent of going to a clinic, giving a sample, then coming back later and picking up your kids.
Grabbles 26 mrt 2020 om 16:51
so you can make men and women have kids?
