@Rigben Its a bit out of scope for my maintaining of the mod but you should be able to change the research tier either locally or via a patch
Rigben 26. sep. kl. 23:08
@Mlie If it is not to complicated would it be possible to get a mod option to remove the pre-requisite research for the Thick Roof removal and maybe the construction? While setting up a medieval playthrough I realized I will not be able to unlock those because of not having any tech above medieval.
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 26. sep. kl. 22:50
@Ellrich Yes, that is a feature I havent been able to fix with the changes in 1.6. They still technically work however
Ellrich 26. sep. kl. 15:15
Hmm, i remember that back in 1.4, the transparent roof would actually allow light to come through ( as in graphically ). Now it seems to just LOOK like normal ( opaque ) roof, although it does say the area is lit and plants do grow under it.
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 25. sep. kl. 8:27
@Rose_420 There is nothing in the mod that would block the vanilla code for roof collapse
Rose_420 25. sep. kl. 8:17
if i deleted the jobs_work xml and the Workgiverxml would i be able to use the roofs without the possible collapse or can u add a setting to turn it on and off i dont like thing randomly falling and destroying thing because im also using drones and once u get contruction drones and i can have my colonist do other things the roofs collapse and destroy things please and thank you

I created an issue on GitHub, please take a look. :machiko:

Hello @Mlie! It is never enough said of how much of a service you are providing to the Rimworld community! We are always very grateful! Unfortunately, I have an issue with this mod similar to the one described by @Rounin Power. Can you please kindly have a look at that in case you find time?
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 4. sep. kl. 21:50
@BlueberryMuffin They behave the same way as normal thick roofs (mountain roofs)
BlueberryMuffin 4. sep. kl. 19:53
Assuming thick roof is drop pod resistant?
Sinsei 3. sep. kl. 0:46
Great mod and thanks for the work on it <3
Rounin Power 30. aug. kl. 13:30
When using the other materials provide by mods, the problem also happens.
Rounin Power 30. aug. kl. 13:00
Hello.I enabled the Fortifications mod series. In Expanded Roofing, the new material Concrete provided by Fortifications can be correctly recognized as a valid building material, and after construction the thick stone roof works normally.
However, after reloading the save, all completed concrete thick roofs disappear, while any unfinished construction blueprints remain and can still be continued.
Thick roofs built with stone blocks of CORE are not affected.
Furthermore, adjusting the mod load order did not solve the problem.

Though testing i discovered that The amount of solar controllers where the problem for a massive solar panel roof I Increased the solar cap to max & have 2 now it runs butter smooth now.
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 28. aug. kl. 8:53
@追寻丶流星雨 Yes, this has already been reported.
追寻丶流星雨 28. aug. kl. 8:27
Every time I start the ship to change maps, the solar controller does not recognize the solar roof,i must reload the save to make the controller work again
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 24. aug. kl. 21:42
@HotdogMoisturiser Please see the Reporting Issues section described above
HotdogMoisturiser 24. aug. kl. 20:05
@追寻丶流星雨 in the modoptions you can ajust the cap of the controllers & the output of each solar cell
HotdogMoisturiser 24. aug. kl. 20:03
May want to add a warning Turning on mantinance for the panels with alot of mods will make the game stutter
追寻丶流星雨 24. aug. kl. 11:21
The problem is that I don't know how many rooftops each solar controller can support, and I need a specific number to plan how many controllers to build.
追寻丶流星雨 24. aug. kl. 9:37
Every time I start the ship to change maps, the solar controller does not recognize the solar roof
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 23. aug. kl. 22:28
@MarsRust There is a marker on each controller showing their current load, if they get overloaded you need to build more under the same roof cells
MarsRust 23. aug. kl. 22:12
I suppose I should be more specific, it states my controllers are overloaded, despite not having much in terms of solar roofing, it feels like I shouldn't need any more than I have, yet I have no idea how much I would need.
MarsRust 23. aug. kl. 21:27
@Altummus this has not worked for me in the slightest
Soy Picker 22. aug. kl. 15:46
@Altumnus god damnit it worked, since its my first time working it; do the controllers have to be under the roofs or just in the general vicinity?

Thanks a bunch too
Altumnus 21. aug. kl. 15:09
@MarsRust and @Soy Picker: Try saving + reloading after installing solar controller(s). Not sure why, but it doesn't seem to connect to the electrical grid nor register any solar roof panels until reload.
HotdogMoisturiser 19. aug. kl. 8:34
solar roofing makes the game stutter. (lot of other mods)
MarsRust 19. aug. kl. 8:20
I'm having the same issue as Soy Picker
Alexander Zagirov 10. aug. kl. 12:36
@Mlie then can you add a mod option to disable infestation under artificial thick roofs? I remember “Raise the Roof” had this option and new “Simply More Roofs” also have it. It doesn’t make sense to have infestation not under the mountain. And there is still a problem with thick roofs made from modded stone types. The disappear after save load.
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 9. aug. kl. 8:50
@chef garlic bread Yes, infestations is always a risk under all thick roofs
The Oyster 9. aug. kl. 8:36
Are infestations supposed to happen under thick roofs?
VelxraTV 8. aug. kl. 21:10
hope we see a patch to roofs disappearing on grav ships. thick roof is still very useful for space stations though!
RAYTHEON 3. aug. kl. 5:48
When installing a thick roof on a gravity lift ship and saving and loading, the roof disappears.
Soy Picker 2. aug. kl. 16:57
Solar controllers arent working for me, when attached to any power grid, near panels, unders panels. Doesnt seem to generate any power from solar roofing.

I’m not getting any errors either and using it standalone in dev quicktest i cant get any power from full/partial sun either

[SpatC]51ngular1ty 1. aug. kl. 14:24
is anyone having an issue where on game load after you build the thick roof it dissapears?
OldPayphone 1. aug. kl. 12:36
After applying the thick roofs, the game doesn't update so if you apply the thick roofs over the area you previously applied them, the game will just keep letting you place them over and over. It's not like regular roof zoning that will let you know that there is already a roof overhead, not allowing you to place more roofing since there is a roof already there.
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 1. aug. kl. 11:19
@D1cjun Not sure what your talking about but your issues have nothing to do with this mod.
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 30. juli kl. 23:39
@strofkocz As mentioned, its only a visual issue. If you check the light level the let in light. If not then you have a mod conflict
strofkocz 30. juli kl. 21:56
transparent roofs dont allow any light through, niether visibly or for growth.
MarsellusWalrus 30. juli kl. 7:34
Losing my thick concrete or vacstone roof upon reload but only in SOME areas. Colony setup is asteroid base + gravship and it seems the first set of thick roofs I built is solid but the newer roofs are disappearing upon load. Sounds similar to your issue @猫耳小龙
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 29. juli kl. 22:32
@RavenRA Please see the Reporting Issues section described above
猫耳小龙 29. juli kl. 1:49
After loading the save file, my thick roof disappeared and the room became open air. Has anyone encountered the same problem?
Rodrigov600 28. juli kl. 15:59
Anybody else build transparent roof only to find the room to be considered outdoors?
[Zerg03] MrHydralisk 28. juli kl. 7:57
Have same issue as bellow of solar controller breaking after gravship relocation. Saving and loading save after each landing, seems to be a temporary solution for now. Forced rotaton of anything on gravship in Odyssey seems to caught off guard many mods, so hopefully you will be able to figure it out without wasting too much time on it.
PCD 27. juli kl. 18:31
rebuilding it is fine
PCD 27. juli kl. 18:29
same bug when my ship go another map with solar controller
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 26. juli kl. 23:18
@八云辉夜 Yes, that was exactly what the previous comment was about.
八云辉夜 26. juli kl. 18:00
The following content is machine translated: I built a solar roof and solar controller on the Odyssey spacecraft. When the spacecraft took off and landed again, the solar controller began to report errors. Visual Exceptions can be used to see the continuously looping red text. After re reading the archive, this problem can be solved.
Tsunatus 26. juli kl. 16:44
@milie My bad, I try reloading as @Ada stated and if not just replace them for the time being.
