@dismarzero

Going through my mod list and fixing/removing error creating mods to make game more stable. Mod was tossing errors, so removed it for the time being. Have 3 or 4 general patch mods, may be related to one of them. Not sure atm.

Basically:
-Excavated ground will reset the tile,
-Reclaim Soil will upgrade the excavated ground back to a fertile tile,
-Garden Soil or Plowed Soil can upgrade that tile to more fertile.
dismarzero  [author] 3 Sep @ 4:25pm
Update!

Tools
-Excavated Ground works as intended again.
dismarzero  [author] 3 Sep @ 6:08am
Thats really strange. I can take a look into it but might just be how the game is coding the work around for smooth stone.
vadfromnu 2 Sep @ 4:19pm
Excavated ground doesn't seem to work like intended. I get excavated ground from smooth and rough granite, but after using "Reclaim Soil" it becomes granite again.
dismarzero  [author] 17 Aug @ 9:20am
Yes. But they do the same thing in different ways.
Proxy 17 Aug @ 7:30am
Does it work with Tilled Soil mod?
Lorebot 30 Jul @ 10:34pm
I'll try to get his attention. Thanks
dismarzero  [author] 30 Jul @ 6:14pm
There is a patch on the FF mod that changes a lot of things in my mod. You would have to talk to the Author of that mod to change the way their patch affects this mod.
Lorebot 29 Jul @ 4:47am
Would it be possible for you to make this play nicer with Fertile Fields? Both mods alter the Farming tab of the menus and they end up overwriting each others tools. The only way for me to get dirt in my current game is to crush rocks then turn it into clay and sand, then mix the clay and sand with fertilizer to make normal dirt...

1.6!
dismarzero  [author] 11 Jan @ 8:06am
So other mods allow for 24 hour growing. Like the tweaking mods.

This just allows you to use those.

Whats the difference between sun lamps and AO sun lamps? I mean, i know they stay always on, but the plant still need to rest at night, no matter the soil or hydroponics, so whats their intended use?
dismarzero  [author] 25 Jun, 2024 @ 3:40pm
You can remove it. But as it adds things to the game it will throw errors. They may not be game breaking. I would backup your game before trying :)
SHREKT 24 Jun, 2024 @ 7:23am
Is this safe to remove mid save?
dismarzero  [author] 20 Jun, 2024 @ 3:22pm
Yes. Just load the updated version by the other author. It works.
Omega13 19 Jun, 2024 @ 1:35pm
So with the Universal Fermenter not updated, is there any way to use the compost bins?
Oh No A Spy! 18 May, 2024 @ 9:09am
I've managed to come across the underground gold into mini-lamp blueprints bug, and managed to reproduce it. The bug seems to stem from an interaction between this mod (VGP Garden Tools) and Dubs Bad Hygiene.

The bug seems to rely on either of the two mods being added to an already existing save (with the other mod), with underground gold already present on the map. In these conditions, the underground gold will transform into mini ceiling sun lamp blueprints.

This was all reproduced with only Core Rimworld + DLCs and Harmony.
dismarzero  [author] 17 May, 2024 @ 1:13pm
yea sorry. Do to the way smooth stone is coded . It not easy to over write the soil type.
iDance 17 May, 2024 @ 9:26am
Hello dismarzero

I think I understand my error. When rough-hewn stone I use "Place Soil", when smooth stone I use "excavated ground" and then "reclaim soil". I think this is correct. I will try again and let you know but I do think I was getting confused and this will work.
iDance 17 May, 2024 @ 9:00am
Hello dismarzero

after "excavated ground", placing "reclaim soil" returns the ground to the previous state instead of creating soil. This is on smooth stone and rough-hewn stone (slate in this case). But if I go into god mode and do the same steps, it create "reclaim soil" where I can then add dirt or compost .
dismarzero  [author] 15 Apr, 2024 @ 9:06am
Thats is the weirdest bug i've seen in a long time.

I have tested the crap out of this and could not duplicate.
Teevie 15 Apr, 2024 @ 12:39am
Forgot to mention the version I'm on, 1.5.4063
New gold deposits that are scanned function as intended but not old ones. Somewhere along the line of my save it switched all gold deposits over to sunlamps.
Teevie 15 Apr, 2024 @ 12:37am
Yeah! https://imgur.com/a/JTS32UO
It's a weird bug indeed. They all used to be gold deposits but somewhere along the line decided to transition to being mini ceiling sunlamps.
dismarzero  [author] 14 Apr, 2024 @ 12:21pm
WilliamTSherman Hello again! Busy week :)

Do you have the 2 ingredients you need to make fertilizer at the butcher table?

You need
10 Compost Starter
10 Dirt
?
dismarzero  [author] 11 Apr, 2024 @ 5:22pm
Thats a very strange bug. I have tested my mod along with a few other mods and am not seeing this issue. Can you let me know what version you are running and provide a picture of the issue?

As for removing the mod. You just remove it from your game. Removing almost any mod from an active game will cause some sort of issue.
dismarzero  [author] 11 Apr, 2024 @ 5:09pm
That's the weirdest bug I have heard in a while. Do you have a screen shot of this?
Teevie 11 Apr, 2024 @ 2:45pm
All underground gold (Ground Penetrating Scanner) gets replaced by "300 mini ceiling sun lamp (blueprint)"
How do I remove this mod from my current save? As when I do, it just deletes ALL the green underground markers, although this does revert the underground resources to gold, albeit without a green marker.
dismarzero  [author] 10 Apr, 2024 @ 1:34pm
I can look into it :)
Lt. Sniffles 9 Apr, 2024 @ 10:23am
I also can't right click and force them to do it, there is no option
Lt. Sniffles 9 Apr, 2024 @ 10:22am
My colonists won't create fertilizer at the butcher table for some reason, not sure what's going on. No errors I can see. I have the materials for it.
dismarzero  [author] 16 Mar, 2024 @ 12:28pm
1.5!!
dismarzero  [author] 21 Jan, 2024 @ 9:32am
smooth stone tiles are coded differently then other terrain tiles.

My soil reclaims cannot work with that coding.
If it is do something with smoothed stone it is pretty much a bug.
I have spent many days trying to work around smoothed tiles and have not found a way to make it work without breaking the balance of the mod.
Vileblood 21 Jan, 2024 @ 8:31am
Ive got a weird bug in regards to the excavated ground and soil reclamation.

f I use excavated ground on smooth stone, then try to reclaim soil on it to make it dirt, it just begins a remove rile function and doesnt even place the soil. I only got this to work ONCE and managed to get a plowed field on it, but even when I was marking that out the colonists were trying to remove the tile of dirt I finally made and I had to draft them to keep hem from tearing it up.

I dont think I have any mods that conflict, but the way its operating it like theyre calling up a value that tells them to uproot the floor when they try to execute whatever build action it is theyre doing.
dismarzero  [author] 5 Dec, 2023 @ 4:11pm
It should not be.
Goot 4 Dec, 2023 @ 8:30pm
Does cremate corpses in the crematorium give the debuff "Butchered humanlike"? As I seem to be having that crop up a lot in my current playthrough and I can't see anything else that could be causing this.
dismarzero  [author] 25 Oct, 2023 @ 4:47pm
Its a weird bug. It happens with the Gravel soil from under grounders ideo as well
Draco Sicarius 24 Oct, 2023 @ 7:02pm
Noticed something odd, trying to make indoor grass fields for some of my animals when it's too cold to graze, and I keep having filth accumulate on top of placed soil even though it's, well, already dirt technically. It tanks my peoples comfort if they have to go in there because of just how ugly it gets from all the dirtiness (hah) and it wastes my cleaner's time because they keep trying to clean the dirt off the dirt.
Hero_Swe 21 Aug, 2023 @ 10:48am
Nevermind I got it on my side. I figured it out by looking into the XML's of buildings_hydro
Hero_Swe 20 Aug, 2023 @ 5:37am
Weird...Hmm. I couldn't trouble you perhaps to make them walkable on purpose?
dismarzero  [author] 19 Aug, 2023 @ 10:25pm
I haven't made any changes to the building code in years. So im not sure :)
Hero_Swe 17 Aug, 2023 @ 1:14pm
Hey Dismar. I don't know when this change happened but I can't seem to have my pawns walk ontop of the hydroponics bays anymore unless they are harvesting or planting something. I remember being able to walk ontop of them with a drafted pawn before.
dismarzero  [author] 21 Mar, 2023 @ 7:02am
Tools
-excavated ground

Found under garden tool. This terrain will build a stony natural tile that can be used on any land tile including smoothed stone. Requires no materials other than work. After building it, you can then use a soil reclaim to place soils.
dismarzero  [author] 26 Feb, 2023 @ 8:23am
I been thinking and pondering over this all weekend. Got really high. And think I might have come up with a work around for the Smooth stone issue.

No I just need to make it work in game :)
dismarzero  [author] 25 Feb, 2023 @ 6:24pm
Yes there are. they also allow you to place on any surface. Many it pretty Over powered. And thus breaking the balance of this mod.
Zumbo Prime 25 Feb, 2023 @ 2:14pm
I'm 99% sure I have a different mod that allows you to place soil directly on smoothed stone. I'll try and figure out which one it is. V1.3 here.
dismarzero  [author] 24 Feb, 2023 @ 10:03pm
Smooth stone is generated via a special coding. I have been trying to find a way to make it work since it has come out. And so far the only coding that works break this mod.

I will continue to find a way to work around that coding. But the best way I have found was to just Dev mode it out.
General Bugdiver 24 Feb, 2023 @ 5:40pm
is there any way to remove smooth floor so that you can place soil, either with this mod or another? or is there an easy way to add smooth stone floors to where soil can be placed?
dismarzero  [author] 2 Jan, 2023 @ 4:12pm
juan765 strange you should be able to build on it.

Zumbo the patch that controls that is in the FF mod. I'm not sure if it can be fixed on my end. I can write a work around that adds a new digging spot only if the FF is loaded....
Zumbo Prime 1 Jan, 2023 @ 6:26pm
Question for anyone who uses this together with VGP. I am aware that some of the VGP tools are overwritten by FF, but the main soil production spot for VGP - "digging spot" - completely disappears when these are used together, and cannot be added with dev mode. Is there any way to get these to work together a little better, or am I just SOL?
