1.5 update? Actually seeing as this has worked since 1.2, Ibet all it needs is a tag update.

1.4 Update pls?

Loading this mod alongside vanilla Rimworld with Royalty and Ideology only (no other mods) disables underground steel. Underground components do not exist, so whatever you did back in August should be reversed.

perhaps i'm mistaken, but i don't believe components naturally spawn underground, and not with the defname Steel, which is what the patch targets for deep drilling

Oh, also, it now removes the underground components too. and you're welcome Dizzy

I see you also made the plasteel one too. THANKS! Hated finding that stuff for free too

Here's an award to prove my gratitude!

I DO! And it works perfectly well in v1.3 already. This mod is fundamental to my enjoyment of the game otherwise it's too flipping easy at the start.
NECEROS  [author] 2 Aug, 2021 @ 12:28pm
Honestly didn't know anyone used this

1.3?

Hey NECEROS, does this also remove them from the deep mining / scanner as an option or will this only avoid them being generated on a regular map?
Dizzy Ioeuy 10 Nov, 2020 @ 4:58pm
Curious. I have this running but still encountered a mineable vein. WAD?
AmbiguousMonk 16 Sep, 2020 @ 2:58pm
Does this mod (and your plasteel counterpart) require a new game just because adding it midway won't remove/regenerate existing resource nodes or does it actually break the save?
Mr McNificent 17 May, 2020 @ 7:12am
Always seem to have plenty of components from crashed ships, or at least just have to wait til the next one to get more. This is a great way to make the map not waste good ore spots on them :D
NECEROS  [author] 15 Mar, 2020 @ 1:52am
It doesn't make sense that if you do happen to find components, that you get nothing from it. Restored it back to default drop amount.

Thanks, Meltup

@NECEROS thanks for the update.

@Slaad

Sorry, I missed the last bit of your question. Yes, I did! Thank you greatly for the donation. I hope you found my message in return.

this + reasonable components feels like the way to go tbh
Mistletoe The Bard 21 Feb, 2020 @ 5:37am
This... this is bringing tribal playthrough on sea ice to another level no more going to neighbor ice sheet tile to mine components for your first heater . xD

I actually found a way. There is a mod called Easily Craftable Components which allows crafting components at a machining table.

I also use the mod called RimPlas that allows the crafting of Plasteel.

@NECEROS, could I bother you for one more small mod that removes the generation of Plasteel from Rimworld? Also, did you get my Ko-fi tip?
Hoki 21 Feb, 2020 @ 3:09am
@slaad or you modify your scenario to start with more shipchunks. how have mods for more traders/shipchunk crashes.
SZ 21 Feb, 2020 @ 2:25am
Thanks, now all I need is some way to craft them early.
