Not in theory, so long as the tech still exists

"It requires an ungodly change in how Stellaris operates" Is 4.0 an ungodly change?

Actually this should be for all resources, in my current game I have the space-time researchers but since I have no dark matter deposits in my empire or in an ai empire that I can attack that isn't my ally I wont be able to research it, and I don't have much faith in the ai empires researching it in a reasonable time-frame. Oh yeah apparently one of the draw conditions is a another empire having the tech.

yep, it requires an ungodly change in how stellaris operates for this to break

work still on current version?

Awesome, and thanks for the mod.

Joy. Well its not going anywhere, there are no changes needed for later versions.

Looks like this is still useful post 3.3, since it allows you to get the research option even if you don't have a deposit. So trading with an ally for some is still viable.

Thank goodness! But thanks for the quick fix you made.

This should no longer be needed after 3.3 drops, according to the patch notes PDX are finally fixing it.

Yeah I booted it up after I asked and did a little digging. The mod works fine, but thank you for responding. Again it was exactly what I needed, so thanks for making this. Don't know if the lack of anomaly was a short sight or a balance choice by paradox, but it is really annoying all the same. I wish they would acknowledge the problem. Again thanks for the mod and Merry Christmas.

I have pushed a version with an updated stellaris version number, the code is identical and I have tested both with the HBD origin living metal and just getting a unit of living metal added to your resource stockpile (presumably from event / trade). No notification, just researchable from the following january.
Draconas  [author] 6 Dec, 2021 @ 12:58am
Err I can do, but in theory it will still work so all I'll be doing is flipping a number in the config file.
T-Wolf 5 Dec, 2021 @ 6:04pm
Are you going to update this for the Herburt update? This is the perfect fix I need for the origin "Here there be Dragons". It gives a living metal deposit but no anomaly to get the research option.
Draconas  [author] 29 Apr, 2020 @ 2:24am
That's very odd. I'll have a look over the weekend.

Traded from another player. That player had some within their borders after they took the system with it. Neither of us received the tech.
Draconas  [author] 29 Apr, 2020 @ 1:26am
Hrmm, that's interesting, it has been working fine for me.
Do you have LM in your borders or have you bought it on the market and is it from vanilla or a mod? (Note it won't work with Mod specific living metal deposits, AFAIK most mods use the vanilla ones)
Straph 27 Apr, 2020 @ 5:53pm
This isn't working currently as tested in 2.6.3. Any chance for an update?
Draconas  [author] 8 Feb, 2020 @ 4:08am
@JenkoRun yes, it's annoying that I have to fix it with a mod, but there we go, I figured I could complain, or complain /and/ fix it.
JenkoRun 8 Feb, 2020 @ 3:55am
The devs needs to get their crap together and fix nonsense like this.
