I really like the buildings, but. Could you please generate a version without the text on the side?
Wiktoruus? 14 Jan, 2023 @ 9:35am
180 people in this building when the 3x smaller buildings can fit 200
Dr. Lopez 19 Oct, 2022 @ 3:20am
I agree with the scale comments, these do seem oversized; however I still use them a lot in standalone small cities - to represent more modern satellite towns that exist purely to product water (for example) In these settings I place them carefully and don't use any other kind of residential building, so they don't look too out of place. They're very nicely put together models so to not use them over this would be a crime

omg yeeeeeeeees
tea_bush 21 Feb, 2020 @ 2:13pm
the buildings are very cool, but indeed out of scale

maybe you could downscale them and upload as a new mod? then you won't break anybody's game
[38.] HeinrichWagner 12 Feb, 2020 @ 5:31am
thanks!
Hisamatsu 9 Feb, 2020 @ 2:44am
Thanks .This is useful.
Comrade Joe 2 Feb, 2020 @ 4:47pm
I was just going to comment there seems to be a scale mismatch with these buildings, but I see the matter is already brought up.
Comrade Sky 1 Feb, 2020 @ 5:30am
I don't think anyone meant to insult you. We clearly like the building a lot and I doubt any of us could do that well. These were just points for improvement. Thank you for the models.
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] 1 Feb, 2020 @ 4:31am
Thanks Manolov :-)
Manolov 1 Feb, 2020 @ 3:24am
The question is quite simple, do you like it? then you subscribe, don't you like it? Then do not subscribe. Criticizing someone's work is very easy, but behind each model of the workshop there is hard work, done so that you can enjoy it for FREE. Some of the buildings in the original game do not correspond to the measures they should have. Discussing for a few meters is nonsense. Good job and continue to make new models! Sorry for my bad English, it's not my language.
CHIIIHAZARD! 29 Jan, 2020 @ 7:55am
Oh, okay, thanks
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] 29 Jan, 2020 @ 7:53am
The font is taken directly from the building in the last photo
CHIIIHAZARD! 29 Jan, 2020 @ 7:28am
I'm not sure about font, because it looks non-realistic. Where you found info about it?
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] 29 Jan, 2020 @ 6:44am
Altering scripts or textures is fine, but I have had problems when altering building sizes and uploading a new model/bbox, and so have other people. So I won't change it just in case it causes people any problems. Especially as the test branch isn't completely stable for everyone yet.
Comrade Sky 29 Jan, 2020 @ 6:21am
It wouldn't affect games. I have buildings pre- and post-update in the same save file.
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] 29 Jan, 2020 @ 5:54am
Thanks and I do realise that these are a bit oversized for Soviet building standards. Next ones will be a bit more compact.
DZen 29 Jan, 2020 @ 5:34am
Once again I want to say that the model itself is made very well and in detail. And personally, I do not think that it is necessary to calculate the thickness of the floors. If the developer did so (his imagination), then others must comply, which would be beautiful.
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] 29 Jan, 2020 @ 5:17am
The reason I don't want to change it is because I don't want to mess up peoples games. It's not about being stubborn Denizbar. Once a mod is released I really don't like to alter the shape/size as it can cause crashes and other problems. Junna, ok thankyou, that's a bit clearer. As I stated earlier though, these are not meant to be an exact copy. Having floors that thin is a strange one to me, I have worked in construction and on building sites and rarely seen flooring that thin before. I know they are a bit oversized and I will make future ones are more in line with those diagrams. I sent you a friend request Junna, if you want to spam me with some plans and stuff, I would appreciate them. Thanks
Junna 29 Jan, 2020 @ 5:07am
I am not underestimating the floor heights; these are the official measures.

https://sun9-20.userapi.com/c10659/u1463652/19045741/x_32b930de.jpg Here is a P44 sectional view for reference

Not saying you should change it, btw. I wouldn't have bothered with modifying something already made. ;D
Junna 29 Jan, 2020 @ 5:07am
No panel blocks use steel beams (the reason for the method is to eliminate the need for steel beams, because steel is expensive). This can be done either through a frame-panel system where reinforced concrete frame takes most of the load, or through having load-bearing walls. II-68 is one block type whose load bearing structure is primarily through it's thick (a generous 6.5m spacing allowed, rather than the more common 3.6) block transverse walls and load bearing facade.

https://sun9-20.userapi.com/c9469/u1463652/96428414/z_a2f907cf.jpg As you can observe from the side view, the smaller length-wise blocks are not present on the side walls, and do not necessarily reflect the width of the walls. 22cm is thick for a panel block--P-3 only had 18cm floor slabs for example.

The video is useless to me as I don't speak Russian and there's no clear indication of relevance
DZen 29 Jan, 2020 @ 5:02am
Given your stubbornness, I do not ask you to change anything.
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] 29 Jan, 2020 @ 4:49am
Look at the picture in the last comment or give me some actual plans to prove what you are saying. This discussion is over. I am not changing them!
DZen 29 Jan, 2020 @ 4:46am
Interfloor ceilings Multihollow prefabricated reinforced concrete slabs with a thickness of 22 cm supported by load-bearing walls. There are no steel beams.
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] 29 Jan, 2020 @ 4:44am
This image is a good example. Look at the concrete layer between the floors. These rooms are 2.48mtrs in height and the concrete in between is a heck of a lot more than 20cm. These are more likely to be around 3.5mtrs per floor! https://novostroev.ru/upload/iblock/f2f/doma_serii_ii-68.jpg
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] 29 Jan, 2020 @ 4:35am
I think you are miscalculating the floor thickness somewhat here. High rise buildings need much thicker than 20cm floors to retain structural integrity. Steel girders are a lot wider than 20cm for a start
Junna 29 Jan, 2020 @ 4:30am
Soviet standard ceiling heights for housing blocks are typically between 2.64 (>2.5m minimum clearance) to 3m (2.8-2.9m clearance). Earlier Stalin-era blocks had excessive clearances upwards and exceeding 3.1m per floor. The Standards and Regulations for construction (SNiP) of 1971 defined minimum clearance as 2.6. Usual thickness of floor slabs, depending on the type and generation of panel block, often was between 12 and 20cm. Usually 2.8m floor height is a reasonable overall compromise. :>

AS Ryan said these are built to real life height measurements. Thanks Junna yes I may ask for some plans if you can help although as I stated earlier these are not meant to be an exact replica of the buildings, they are just meant to be a similar kind of look-a-like building. The main problem here is height discrepancy between various buildings. Floor dimensions are irrelevant, it is the height which is the problem. I have made these at 4 mtrs per floor, this is in line with standard building regulations of 2.7-3 mtrs ceiling height and around 1-1.3 mtrs of structural work between the floors. After calculating the heights of some of the other buildings I have worked out that the actual floor height of some buildings is around 1.5-2 mtrs. Some of the buildings are obviously calculating for room height but forgetting that there needs to be structural work in-between the floors. To give an example - https://theconstructor.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Height-of-Rooms.jpg
Junna 29 Jan, 2020 @ 1:33am
If you want floor plans and dimensions and stuff for any future types I can help. :>
ryantheskinny 28 Jan, 2020 @ 6:23pm
I have a character model from the game, and the guy is six feet tall btw. Meaning the game scale is pretty much 1 meter is 1 meter. Some of the models in game are out of scale with the games own scale Offtherails made his buildings to the scale of the sample person from the game.
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] 28 Jan, 2020 @ 7:37am
As I also stated earlier, it's not meant to be an exact replica, it was just 'inspired by'. I am not changing it now as: 1, I don't want to and 2, it may cause people problems if they have already built some.
If you like them use them and if not then don't, simples
kostas667 28 Jan, 2020 @ 7:18am
About the size. The building in mod is really too big. In reality this house is 35 meters long. But in the mod its length is approximately 50 meters ( https://sun9-50.userapi.com/c857016/v857016829/c5089/hJYSGSSqYSU.jpg ). You can also see that this building is too large by comparing it with the size of people’s models
Ternet18 28 Jan, 2020 @ 7:17am
Idk I think its alright but if people dont like it do what you like :D
Ternet18 28 Jan, 2020 @ 7:15am
The developer has buildings out of proportion but everyone sticks to it like its the holy grail or smt and when someone makes correct proportions theyre called out for doing it wrong lol
Roman 28 Jan, 2020 @ 7:15am
Very cool)
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] 28 Jan, 2020 @ 7:01am
As I said, there are a number of buildings that are not of the right proportions. One in particular I measure at around 1.5mtrs per floor, ok for hobbit's I suppose! :-D The game uses mtrs for measurement so I will stick with the correct proportions for my buildings
DZen 28 Jan, 2020 @ 6:57am
Well, this is your business ...)
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] 28 Jan, 2020 @ 6:42am
21 stories, approx 64 mtrs to top of top flat, giving approx 3mtrs per floor. Considering floor structure of maybe 1mtr deep that leaves the ceiling height of said flats at 2 mtrs. Not exactly a good ceiling height!
Mine are 4 mtrs per floor, 3 mtr ceiling height and 1 mtr floor support. As I said, correctly proportioned
DZen 28 Jan, 2020 @ 6:34am
Sorry, what dimensions of building standards do you follow if 15 floors have the same height as a 21 storey building from a developer?
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] 28 Jan, 2020 @ 5:54am
@Junna. They are not meant to be exact replicas, as I said 'inspired by', I just made them to be alike, and they were meant to be 16 floors, I made an error when making them that I didn't notice until much later. Thanks for the info though, I could have done with that beforehand! :-D
Thanks Brilian :-)
@Denizabr, they are the right size. It is some of the other buildings that are out of proportion. These are made to be within actual building regulation sizes
DZen 28 Jan, 2020 @ 12:32am
Beautiful houses, but disproportionately large. It would be nice to align with other houses.
brilianharbealdion5 27 Jan, 2020 @ 11:58pm
wow is awesome bro and the next update this mod
Junna 27 Jan, 2020 @ 9:22pm
1. These are not original facades, but were recently refurbished. 2 They are in Moscow, they are just named after a farm. 3. These blocks belong to series II-68 (this is the type filing card= https://i.imgur.com/xb66tdQ.jpg) , and used a combination of large block and panel. The original facades for II-68 were all covered in blueish-grey or white ceramic tiles in ridges produced by GMPSM. The identical exterior panels were also used in related series, such as several variants of I-700, I-522 and I-491. Variants of II-68 varied from a few storeys (usually where sites turned out to have hydrological problems after construction began) to the most common 16, and occasionally 18 and 22. I don't know of any instances that had 15, however... Variants of II-68 continued to be built into the early 2000's, and are generally well-regarded in terms of quality.

Give me time. More buildings are coming. This is just the first set :-)
Аронес Кельтер 27 Jan, 2020 @ 2:59pm
