Looks much more impressive than the BNW civil war scenario, and you only need G&K. Will be checking this out when i have the opportunity

Good war sim, very difficult though. The war weariness was hard to deal with. I also never had enough gpt. I thought University of Virginia was founded by Thomas Jefferson before the civil war?

Wouldn't work for me. Kept getting "Mod blocked due to exclusivity" message. What does that mean anyway?
framedarchitecture  [author] 12 Feb, 2019 @ 8:39pm
@veazey1234 just right click the choose policy icon to dismiss....
veazey1234 9 Feb, 2019 @ 8:45pm
As the Confederacy I unlocked all social policies. Upon reaching enough culture to unlock what would normally be another policy I was prompted to select another policy before ending the turn, which of course I couldn't do because there were none left. This happened before completion of the main storyline and thus rendered the mod unplayable at that point as I could not advance another turn.

Great mod, your attention to detail is awesome! The only issue I had was I can't load a game after I've saved it. Thank you!

maby add a bit of mexico and europe for alliances and trade and sorts
framedarchitecture  [author] 7 Oct, 2016 @ 2:30pm
@Wilfred_The_Stoned_Do No need for pedantry and condescension... As I've said several times in comments below, France is included as a needed additional trade partner for the South.
Wilfred_The_Stoned_Dog 7 Oct, 2016 @ 12:43pm
you do know the french lost control of quebec to the british around 1760 right? the British had control of all of canada during the civil war.
Asrikk 7 Jul, 2016 @ 9:26pm
Mistatroll: There's an in-game scenario for it. I'm not sure which DLC (if any) provided it. This one is entirely different, on a larger map and in general is far more difficult.
Bisko 14 Jun, 2016 @ 6:15pm
this mod is way too overpowered, couldn't capture a single city
Slull 13 Jun, 2016 @ 8:18pm
Isn't there already a scenario about the Civil War?
DaMagickDragon 27 May, 2016 @ 3:24pm
@Urban Wolf
Agreed though gameplay would be funner to take them over but from a historical veiwpoint the south only wanted there land unless you made a civil war 2 type thing like where the union and csa fought for land
framedarchitecture  [author] 8 May, 2016 @ 11:00am
@Urban Wolf Because that's what I, the creator, liked as a challenging victory condition. If you don't like it, you're welcome to change the scenario in any way you like. (BTW modders don't have to justify their decisions to users.)
Book_Archer 25 Dec, 2015 @ 6:34pm
Push the Subscribe button, and it should work. If it doesn't work just ask on the page on where you got the mod, and ask the author or other players. Also, this mod is enjoyable.
Rocco 24 Dec, 2015 @ 1:10pm
how do i get it
Tree 29 Oct, 2015 @ 7:23am
The mod runs fine so far, but every new additon in the mod has the word TXT_KEY_UNIT or TXT_KEY_BUIILDING. The city names and Civ leaders have that TXT format before their name.

Is there any way to fix this? (I use Mac btw, so that may be why it isn't working properly).
El.bar.de.los.muchachos 26 Sep, 2015 @ 10:22am
THE SOUTH WILL RISE AGAIN
framedarchitecture  [author] 11 Apr, 2015 @ 6:45pm
@malone6125 This mod allows policy saving -- right click to dismiss the "Choose Policy" notification.
malone6125 11 Apr, 2015 @ 6:15am
This Mod is flawed. If you are the Confederates and adopt all policies than you can go no further
framedarchitecture  [author] 26 Feb, 2015 @ 11:24pm
@Anonymous See the link in my profile for alternate downloads of many of my mods.
@jayjay_the_jetplane Yes.... that's how FoW works in Civ. ^^
Scotttttt 23 Dec, 2014 @ 12:40pm
Can you put a download link for manual installation?
jojo 22 Nov, 2014 @ 10:37pm
there's a fog of war over all of the union that won't go away
reidj062 10 Nov, 2014 @ 2:04pm
Doesn't show up in mods.
Dewmeister 20 Oct, 2014 @ 6:02pm
*cant*
Dewmeister 18 Oct, 2014 @ 6:55pm
not saying you vant make it...
framedarchitecture  [author] 17 Oct, 2014 @ 7:04pm
@The_Paranoid_Psatafarian Of course, I'm well aware of that. This scenario was produced and orginally published on Steam in September 2012. Not that it makes any difference... modders are free to make the mods they want. And the Firaxis CW scenario is certainly not the pinnacle of scenarios...
Dewmeister 17 Oct, 2014 @ 6:46pm
there already is a civil war scenario in bnw. in the scenario packs with no mods on
76561198132895766 10 Oct, 2014 @ 1:33pm
keeps saying it is blocked by another mod :(
Mundiz 8 Sep, 2014 @ 4:07pm
This is so difficult!!
jordanquimby 23 Aug, 2014 @ 8:27am
Can you update it?
jordanquimby 23 Aug, 2014 @ 8:26am
You should add the front lines stuff RED world war 2 edition. Waht it does it each time a unit moves into the enmeys civilization tile it turns into there land.
Moss 21 Jul, 2014 @ 9:41pm
Oh, and I have a suggestion. I am from the South, Alabama to be exact. I like the Civil War, and you could probably guess where this is going. I ask if you ever get time to make a Confederacy civilization. The one already out there is OP and there unique unit doesn’t look good at all, but if you don’t feel up to it then please tell me how to use the Confederate rifle brigade skin for the confederate civilization I already have. I would do this myself but I don’t have the slightest idea. Oh and again great mod.
aashhurst 5 Jul, 2014 @ 2:28pm
Nice effort. However, I'd suggest a modification of the victory conditions. Currently both the North and South have the same goal; control 90% of the U.S. original territory using a map east of the Rocky Mountains. While this goal is possible for the North, it is unrealistic for the South (unless you play on the easiest settings) due to lack of resources and population. It is also not historical, since the South was actually a group of subject States in rebellion against the U.S. They were not trying to conquer more territory, they just wanted their own independence. Instead of the same 90% territory goal as the North, I'd suggest a goal for the South of retaking and holding Kentucky and controlling Washington D.C., Philadelphia and one other city. That's in keeping with the historical goals of rhe South to gain independence.
finley.davida 9 May, 2014 @ 5:38am
is there a vanilla version?
Pedro 8 Apr, 2014 @ 3:19pm
Do you make bnw scenarios
League of Attorneys 5 Apr, 2014 @ 3:43pm
i have the brave new world version, but this one is better. never have played as the south though. i'm goinging to admit it: i'm a yank.
The Rioter 3 Apr, 2014 @ 1:41pm
Why do you have to take over the north as the south all the south wanted was to leave the union
rtfox68 29 Mar, 2014 @ 5:53am
A couple of things...
1. Why can't you build normal brigades-without the the unhappiness? A lot of people volunteered.
2. Why limt brigades to 8? That is only 4 divisions. 2-3 brigades per division. Your 8 is equal to Picketts Charge... Actually there were 9 in Picketts Charge.
3. A lot more of the North should have been developed...
4. Your unhappiness is over blown in the North... Way too high... North was only unhappy in New York and Boston (to a lesser extent)
The🍁Mighty🍁Spud 11 Mar, 2014 @ 4:11pm
just saying quebec was british by then and in 6 years canada was its own country
Civitar 3 Mar, 2014 @ 4:48am
Is this the BNW scenario?
germanntx 21 Feb, 2014 @ 4:21pm
Can i get it to work without having any expansion packs?
Miha 21 Feb, 2014 @ 10:59am
Cool
CSA FD 14 Feb, 2014 @ 11:10am

CSA FD 13 Feb, 2014 @ 10:18pm
it shows on my mods but i cant play it, really could use some help??? who do i use this im not real good with mods.
Squinty John 9 Feb, 2014 @ 7:55am
Oh, ok. I didn't know how to use policy saving.
framedarchitecture  [author] 9 Feb, 2014 @ 7:54am
@Squinty John As in all my scenarios (and I have written this in comments below and other places) this allows policy saving. To dismiss the choose policy popup simply right click.
Squinty John 9 Feb, 2014 @ 7:35am
I encountered a problem playing your mod. With 6 turns left, the game wanted me to choose a policy even though none were left, so I couldn't finish the game. I am playing on G&K.
Tibbles 7 Feb, 2014 @ 5:52am
I'll be sure to check out your other stuff.
framedarchitecture  [author] 7 Feb, 2014 @ 4:05am
@Tibbles I have made available several mods that run under Vanilla. In addition, I don't understand the complaint here... this is free content so not having access to it is not a missed opportunity in any sense.
