Description
Reunify a Divided Nation!
It is 1861, and the southern half of the United States has declared its independence and seceded from the Union. You have until 1869 (100 Turns) to reunify the Nation by controlling 80% of the United State's population. Play as the Union, as Lincoln, or the Confederacy, as Davis, on an accurate map of the eastern United States.

Scenario Features
* Many new Industrial-era techs, units, and buildings, several unique to the United States
* Higher level difficulties add additional challenges for human players.
* New civ-specific Policy Branches reflecting Civil War laws
* New resources including Tobacco, Rations and Rifles

How to Load
Activate Mod > Single Player> Custom Game> American Civil War > Load Mod
If you have trouble downloading or installing this mod (i.e. the mod does not display in your Mods list), see this guide.
Do not load this scenario with any mod that changes base game attributes. UI only mods, like IGE and InfoAddict, should function.
MAC Users see this CivFanatics forum thread[forums.civfanatics.com] for help on enabling mods.

Requires Gods and Kings Expansion!
Will unload BNW and any DLC you have installed.

Looks much more impressive than the BNW civil war scenario, and you only need G&K. Will be checking this out when i have the opportunity

Good war sim, very difficult though. The war weariness was hard to deal with. I also never had enough gpt. I thought University of Virginia was founded by Thomas Jefferson before the civil war?

Wouldn't work for me. Kept getting "Mod blocked due to exclusivity" message. What does that mean anyway?

@veazey1234 just right click the choose policy icon to dismiss....

As the Confederacy I unlocked all social policies. Upon reaching enough culture to unlock what would normally be another policy I was prompted to select another policy before ending the turn, which of course I couldn't do because there were none left. This happened before completion of the main storyline and thus rendered the mod unplayable at that point as I could not advance another turn.

Great mod, your attention to detail is awesome! The only issue I had was I can't load a game after I've saved it. Thank you!

@Wilfred_The_Stoned_Do No need for pedantry and condescension... As I've said several times in comments below, France is included as a needed additional trade partner for the South.

you do know the french lost control of quebec to the british around 1760 right? the British had control of all of canada during the civil war.

Mistatroll: There's an in-game scenario for it. I'm not sure which DLC (if any) provided it. This one is entirely different, on a larger map and in general is far more difficult.
