Pretty big issue" I just spent two days trying to troubleshoot why I couldn't expand my growing zones. I had absolutely no idea why I couldn't. I finally figured it out, and it was because of the drought. It drops the fertility so much that the game no longer registers it as a viable growing zone so I can't even alter the zones.

The only reason I say it's a big issue is because if someone else is in my position, they'll probably spend hours trying to figure it out too. I was about to start a new save because I thought my save was glitched.

Mod VanillaExpanded.VEE has multiple RimWorld.IncidentDefs named VEE_IceAge. Skipping.

Any idea why im getting a bunch of errors like this when i load the game up? i get maybe 15-20 and never see these events that are in the error log

Is anyone else having an issue with Drought not actually doing anything? My crops seem unaffected. Not sure if it's a mod conflict but I don't think I have anything that impacts crop growth, and it's just haygrass so It's a vanilla crop

I do have two suggestions/requests if you have time to add them :)
1. When I hover over an event in the manager, it would be nice to have a description of what the event actually does (so I don't need to come back to this page every time for a reminder)
2. For the "Number of days between purple events" slider, let us set a range so it can be somewhat random, or just let us set up a percentage chance every day that a purple event can happen. Also you may want to indicate which events are purple events in that menu

I play it and I only receive strange visitors. I get no other anomaly events, and I have yet to interact with the monolith.

Hey guys I have this mod installed and noticed it has options for anomaly. In my game i have it set so anomaly events dont start till I interact with the monolith.
Will this mod override this and cause the anom events before I interact with the monolith ?

Am I missing something or aren't some of these events like the cargo pods and the shuttle crash in vanilla? Did they just like rip you off lol?

no idea how the mod actually calculates it but its waaaaaaay to generous with the Wanderer Joins (traitor) events the setting says the base chance is 0.2 but in my personal experience 9 out of 10 wanderer joins events turn out to be a traitor

It's nice that this works natively with mods but I am finding that mods that do things on a regular basis get fucked over by this mod. For example Mashed's Bloodmoon is supposed to be every 30 days but with this mod forcing it to have a weighting causes it to fire initially around day 30 but then again around 70 - 90 or even as late as day 110. I tried using the scheduled events mod as well to try and override this but then I get the event firing every 30 days and then at roughly random between those 30 days because of this mod.

@unlucky rubberducky its because it sconsiderd a world event not a map event. If you go to the mod options for vanilla events you can turn it of there.

I just wanted to say thank you for having an option in the mod settings to cancel both map and world events besides having the option to disable future events.

The shuttle crash landing on water bug is still an active bug with this mod even though the vanilla one is resolved.
The event will trigger, the ship will crash, the ground will clear snow, but the ship is not spawned / instantly despawned before spawning any bodies.

New update for Rimworld has fixed a core bug whereby shuttles landing on water would be lost. Wonder if that has fixed the shuttle crash landing bug seen in this mod (whereby shuttles disappear on landing)?

Will test and check it out.

I think so/not sure; I'm in winter so cannot see the ground, but based on my biome (cold bog) I assume it may have occurred in mud/water.

Odyssey's forced asteroid raids from a fake hostile space faction break the disabling of raids via Vanilla Events Expanded. I consider this primarily an Odyssey problem because there's no option to disable the faction as you can with other hostile factions in the game settings. Hopefully they'll fix it eventually because forcing people to play with a hostile faction is obnoxious af :-/

But in the meantime, the game eventually starts runtiming every couple seconds while on an asteroid if raids are fully disabled via Vanilla Events Expanded. Even with logging disabled, the game flashes each time and isn't really playable while it's happening.

Turning on raids in the mod, then disabling and immediately re-enabling the mod (do NOT load the game until it's re-enabled) stops the constant runtimes.

don't think its fully updated with odyssey, got the 'psychic rain' event and it followed the ship around multipe jumps to new places

Noticed a soft mod incompatibility - the drought doesn't recognize Dubs Bad Hygiene's crop irrigation as a way to allow crop growth

Has drought been adjusted for the new Grassland biome? Sounds like if i settle there now I have double the chances of it. One form the Odyssey DLC and one from Vanilla Events Expanded.

When I try to start an Ice Age through the debug menu it doesnt let me, ive tested all other events even vanilla ones and the only ones that dont seem to work are Ice Age and Global Warming. Is there a fix? Im trying to make a gameplay were winters and summers last years.
