@Marky-Moo IC Genoa would be fun =) I've moved onto a larger mod re-doing merchant republics. Not ready to share yet. I'll be leaving this one up for anyone wanting more MRs without HIP.

A sub-mod could be created for the Iron Century Genoa if you are worried it might be something that's too controversial among historians (or y'know, ya could add it into the base mod, too)

Merchant republics can't have merchant republic vassals; you just get duchy rank republics. Ancona is independent. However it's MR duchy is titular. If the emperor creates the de jure duchy, Ancona will find itself threatened.

How about d_noli as a vassal of k_genoa since it is a king tier republic? Poor Noli...
And it's glad to hear that Ancona is no longer hiding under HRE, "Ancona, now die bastardo!"
but is it a tributary state of HRE instead?
