whats going on i think is some of the blocks thats in the ship is colliding with the edge of the build area and another object, so this ship needs to be updated for 1.0 and on.
M_to_the_ike 13 Feb, 2021 @ 7:51pm
For whatever reason it keeps telling me that it is too big for the creative island, but its been fine in the past.
SS Edmund Fitzgerald 24 Aug, 2020 @ 7:56pm
i really liked the Champion, but the Elg is a nightmare to to try and use. I followed your directions on how to start it up. Well the compressors never reached 15 psi and nothing could start.
John Wayne 4 Jun, 2020 @ 10:42am
okay ill try it out bro, thanks
Pierre-Luc  [author] 4 Jun, 2020 @ 6:25am
@John Wayne you must be doing something wrong since I just tested it and it all works fine.

Here are a few potential mistakes you might make:

Did you mistakenly turn off the switch that says Emergency Engine Shut-Off (DON'T TOUCH)?

Did you forget to turn on the Fuel Pump?

Did you forget to turn on the Turbocharger?

Did you forget to turn on TWO Fuel Valves?

Did you mistakenly turn off the Coolant Pump 1 OR 2 valves?

Did you mistakenly touch the throttle lever next to the compressor BEFORE the compressor air tank was full?

Did you wait until the compressor air tank was full?

so.... no matter how many times i try to start up the ship it doesnt work... i followed your start up directions and it still doesnt work... am i doing something wrong?

@Dr. hydroflask I feel it takes the fun out of the game.
Dr. hydroflask 26 May, 2020 @ 2:43pm
is there a reason none of the Kriger tugs have an autopilot?
Pierre-Luc  [author] 6 May, 2020 @ 9:16pm
Fixed the buoyancy and pushed the update.
aerospatiale 5 May, 2020 @ 1:58pm
ah alright
Pierre-Luc  [author] 5 May, 2020 @ 1:33pm
It needs an update. It's coming soon
aerospatiale 5 May, 2020 @ 1:28pm
rip, I remember using this when it was brand new and it worked perfectly fine. now when I spawn it, it just randomly turns to the left then freaks out f
RyanBoi 2 May, 2020 @ 10:04pm
This thing sinks waaaaay too easily
Pierre-Luc  [author] 10 Apr, 2020 @ 5:23am
@jarvisjosh44 Definitely. There's a bug with having wheels on a ship that messes up buoyancy. wheels will be replaced and it'll sit properly in the water.
jarvisjosh44 9 Apr, 2020 @ 10:13pm
Pierre-Luc awesome man! will this ship sit lower in the water by chance?
Pierre-Luc  [author] 8 Apr, 2020 @ 4:40pm
jarvishjosh44 I'll be updating all my ships soon.
jarvisjosh44 8 Apr, 2020 @ 3:06pm
Is there a way to increase the range of the ship?
Pierre-Luc  [author] 8 Jan, 2020 @ 8:54pm
@Captain Kek: I just tried it on 0.9.25 and it works. I'm going to assume it's a user error. Did you read the description? Can you be specific as to what you are doing? Did you touch the emergency shut off switch? Do you wait for the air pressure to be high enough? Have you read the description?
Captain Kek™ 8 Jan, 2020 @ 8:10pm
absouloutly dissapointed, ship will not start and is currently non functional
Pierre-Luc  [author] 11 Dec, 2019 @ 6:49pm
@757-Alex L yeah she'll be getting an update soon about that and other things
Averagealex99 11 Dec, 2019 @ 6:33pm
The bow thrusters are bugged.
Pierre-Luc  [author] 10 Nov, 2019 @ 5:36am
@Nathanpn, added and pushed to workshop.
Pierre-Luc  [author] 10 Nov, 2019 @ 5:14am
@Nathanpn, good idea. I'll add it :)
kelp eater 9 Nov, 2019 @ 10:53pm
Can I request the addition of a cable length gauge for the crane winch?
Pierre-Luc  [author] 1 Nov, 2019 @ 5:28pm
@Tugger, I'll fix them and will release an update soon.
Ted Striker 1 Nov, 2019 @ 9:20am
Are the bow thrusters meant to be decorative only? They push in opposite directions, as opposed to one having an inverted throttle input.
Pierre-Luc  [author] 30 Oct, 2019 @ 5:50pm
@Tugger: I'll be damned! What a weird bug! Do you know if you delete the vehicle wheels and placed them back on it fixed the issue or as long as there are vehicle wheels the vessel is broken?
Ted Striker 30 Oct, 2019 @ 2:06pm
If you look at the bug report that I submitted there is a reply that vehicle wheels have broken buoyancy. If you delete all the vehicle wheels the physics are fixed, I just tested it.
Keter Griffin 29 Oct, 2019 @ 4:12pm
Never mind i see they are for spotlights.
Keter Griffin 29 Oct, 2019 @ 4:11pm
I see that there are velocity pivots on the mast is there a fold mast button anywhere?
Pierre-Luc  [author] 27 Oct, 2019 @ 1:46pm
@chrilleberg I don't mind adding you but I'd first like to let you know I don't really play multiplayer. If you're looking to play online with me I can't really help you with that. Anything else I'll be happy to add you.
Chrilleberg 27 Oct, 2019 @ 12:57pm
Please add me on steam!:steamhappy:
Ted Striker 26 Oct, 2019 @ 3:16pm
This is a unique hull in that you can replace most of the blocks with weights and it still floats just fine XD - I would attach a screen shot if I could figure out how to do it in steam.
Pierre-Luc  [author] 26 Oct, 2019 @ 3:03pm
@Tugger, all right you can run the azimuth at full speed but just this time! :P I don't impose hard limits on my creations and surely I won't impose them on you :) Thanks for the bug report, I'll just wait until it's fixed. When I was building it I had tons of issues with the hull. As you can see, it sits super high in the water yet it's pretty heavy. It also wants to act super weird the second you put the Apollo rhib in the water.
Ted Striker 26 Oct, 2019 @ 2:56pm
http://mcro.org/issues/view_issue/15908 bug report, I'm an adult I think I can give myself permission to run azimuth at 1.0. I wouldn't try working around this bug if I were you, let the developers fix it so in a few months you don't have to go back and rework it.
Pierre-Luc  [author] 26 Oct, 2019 @ 2:47pm
@Tugger oh yeah I see. Please keep the azimuth pods to a maximum power of 0.1 Those are mostly for precision navigation at slow speed.
Ted Striker 26 Oct, 2019 @ 1:43pm
Full thrust forward, 100% azimuth then hit any sized wave or wait until the nose lifts completely out of the water.
Pierre-Luc  [author] 26 Oct, 2019 @ 11:15am
@Tugger, it does? Just this morning, I updated her and that didn't happen to me. Can you please describe what are the conditions in which this happens? Thanks :)
Ted Striker 26 Oct, 2019 @ 11:05am
this has got to be the best looking boat in all of stormworks. Which is a bummer because after the last game update the boat now points into the sky and climbs itself out of the water XD
Pierre-Luc  [author] 26 Oct, 2019 @ 5:10am
@Dr.Phil the anchor works by using the anchor winch which is found at the bow of the ship right above the chain locker on the main deck. There you will find controls to lower and raise the anchor as well as a switch to activate the MagAll. You will also find dials where one shows you the chain length and the other shows you the MagAll stress.

To operate the anchor just lower it and activate the MagAll after a few meters and watch for the MagAll stress. When you see the needle move it means the anchor is at the bottom and you can stop the winch from lowering.
Phillasen 26 Oct, 2019 @ 2:29am
How does the anchor work?
Pierre-Luc  [author] 25 Oct, 2019 @ 8:57am
@Mr. Bull, thank you! I should have made that more obvious.
@Pacosinbath, thank you!
Pacosinbath 25 Oct, 2019 @ 7:47am
I'm loving this ship!
Elduin25 24 Oct, 2019 @ 9:29pm
I didn't have the emergency the emergency shut-off switch on
it was off lol so i put back on it starting up
Pierre-Luc  [author] 24 Oct, 2019 @ 7:10pm
@Mr. Bull No problem. Can I know what was wrong?
Elduin25 24 Oct, 2019 @ 5:59pm
thank you I got it run now it runs great and drives very good work
can not wait two the next one come out :)
Pierre-Luc  [author] 24 Oct, 2019 @ 5:39pm
@Peyton T, Mr. Bull, Alhevi I recorded myself doing exactly the steps I've listed both in the comments and in the description. I attached the Startup and Operations video on this page. You can find it next to the screenshots above.
Pierre-Luc  [author] 24 Oct, 2019 @ 1:26pm
@Ethan Stratton Not that much maybe 20 - 30 hours in it. I'm getting more efficient at building ships now. :)
Pierre-Luc  [author] 24 Oct, 2019 @ 1:25pm
@Peyton T @Mr. Bull and @Alhevi
You have to leave the Emergency Shut Down to the state it is in when the ship spawns. Only use the Emergency Shut Down if you want to shut down the engine in an emergency.
I'll have a startup video coming up soon.
Peyton T 24 Oct, 2019 @ 11:40am
unable to start followed all steps listed as well.
