To anyone thinking of downloading this mod, to my knowledge this issue was resolved by CA already for the game, making this mod invalid.

According to reddit, CA already hotfixed this issue awhile ago, anyone waiting for an update here actually shouldn't need the mod anymore.

They did mate it kills the whole campaign, I can't manage to have a total of 5 to 6 armies in hard or legendary if the income drops to red already in 9 turns, and i'm being invaded with 13 armies so THANK YOU! this mod is great. even if they say they patched it.

You need to change the size of the file. I did it by adding a text file that doesn't show up anywhere in-game.

@Ole, maybe, a small one it seems, but that could also be an influence from another mod so I honestly do not know except updating and reloading without this mod increased my income slightly.

They added that feature with one of the latest patches. I saw this as well. In the lower part of the window when you are looking at your saves is a box now which says activate all saves or something. So you can continue to play without this mod active.

hey i had this mod ,now that it is changed in an update i started the geme without this mod ,but i cant contineu the campaign without this mod ,the saves are red and when i hover over them it says i need this mod active ? is it normal? thanks

This game needs to not follow the path of other games where they just oversimplify everything and make virtually the only difference between races their skins. The races should have different incomes and alternative strengths and weaknesses that must be leveraged to even the playing field, rather than simply making all things equal. It's artificial and incredibly obnoxious.

It should be okay. This mod has a very small "footprint" so in general it's very unlikely to be broken by any updates.

readjusting ports to no longer vary by race, so now they streamlined so all ports are the same or what? So they didn't just do that with AI personalities.

really? you do realize you can just keep the money and run your economy at a deficit since you have a big pile of money you can drain? in what world does it not matter how long it takes to get your money back?

if it takes you 50 turns to get the money back then you wont have benefited until 50 turns, how is this complicated? the extra 50 gold income isnt making you richer or making it easier to field more units because if you had just saved the money you would have been able to use that buffer.

Thought I'd be able to deal with the port nerf, but after dealing with it in my Gor Rok campaign by basically ignoring doing any upgrades and intending to demolish the ports ... only to find out you can't demolish ports ... what? lol ... I finally had to install this mod.

As others have mentioned, the numbers just don't add up. If the income is going to get nerfed, the purchase cost also needs to be adjusted. Otherwise, what's the point? They're just a money-sink and/or artificial difficulty building now, and completely pointless and non-strategic.

@Zerkander CA themselves have said that they overdid it on ports and plan to rebalance it again. This is a case of a heavy-handed change that wasn't actually thought out; if they had rebalanced the cost along with the income nerf it'd be one thing...but 11250 gold for a 50 gold/turn and 10 growth upgrade? Not all building chains should perform equally, but to be worse than tier 1 buildings is laughable.
