Hi Sol, hope you have been well. I decided to start up a games after a rather long hiaus, I noticed the plan preparation was set at max 0% with a -100% malus ( stating BICE difficulty playing GER), is that intended/correct? Please advise and thanks in advance -

are you using cloud saves? if so try a normal save. If you can reproduce it reliably then please let me know further, like at what time ingame it breaks for what country

it has nothing to do with quality of the code lol, the GUI is just the most apparent indicator - that one could be fixed easily, but its a lot more stuff not visible which NEVER is compatible, no matter what we would do

@C0PG1VENGRE This is because the TEST mod got updated. BI's code is complete a shit hole, which has 0 compatiblity to older saves. Even a tiny modding that touches decisions or events which seems irrelevant to GUI can make the political screen a mess. I created a mod which I clone their older version in Gitlab and upload to Steam Workshop for the people who start the game during Sep 29th and Oct 17th.

I still encounter the same problem. I start a save with Germany all good evertything works fine. When i save and then load the game i ca not acces the UI in the political screen, i can through the pop ups but not manually. Is this a bug or i have to do something ? Please help.

In the Intelligence Agency, there is a problem with the mission list hiding (the same as in the past with the list of manufactured equipment).

Also the east Asia theatre is a mess. Vichy collapse after Hendaye event - all its subjects free - French indochina was attacked by Thailand before , Thailand joins JAP's faction , so it join's Chinese united front.

So far everything seems make sense, but things got weird -

when CHI and PRC both get smashed by JAP, CHI capitulated first, then french Indochina and PRC, a event fired seems to make JAP control all coastal provices of china (which were belong to JAP's puppet ROC), but ROC instantly capitulated then the French Indochina controls all the lands of ROC (French Indochina is still in capitulated status).

Not allow player manually create wargoals via diplo screen. in previous version there was a game rule that can be set when create a new game, i dont know why the devs remove it. As GER I just want to attack SPA because i need Gibraltar. And this is ridiculous that unable to create wargoals for player if he wants to do the world conquest in this mod.

playing as Germany and supply truck usage is very high. 1000 trucks for 1 division. this is ridiculous
Yugoslavia if civil war breaks out loses both army general choices, so you cannot proceed with getting any doctrine or army specialists

When i load a save game with Germany the game bugs and it doesn't work the political panel. I mean i right click and the UI doesn't change. This happened also with the previus version. Any way how to fix ? Although when i start a new game everything works fine.

Did this get updated ? In my launcher it is still saying the old version of HOI4. Can someone confirm if its just doing that annoying bug ?

A player managed USSR will defeat an AI Germany in 1943. If you want AI countries to put up a fight you need to give them bonuses. If Germany is nerfed and USSR is enhanced then the player game for the USSR is going to be trivial.

Feels like arty equipment takes too much attrition and lose. What about increasing the reliability of arty so it wont lose so much.

Fascist works, communism too, but democracy doesn't, Events do not lead to change and decisions do not include options for reform... missing something? I know it's anti-historical, but if you can give up Gdańsk, then..

? AI is notoriously overproducing aircraft in this mod, this does not match what usually happens. Do you run any other mods? Also do you observe the AI?

they que up too many aircraft and tanks, which leads to even in 1941 2 spitfifres a month being produced in the uk

the AI has its own limits for it, they build both perfectly fine, just not necessarily starting in 36

the ai cant handle having to use aircraft/tank factories, even when I cheat for the ai they cant handle it: it leads to almost no air or tank production

So spent time boosting relations with one of my puppets and seem to be able to ask for a pact, might just be an issue with asking a nation for a 3rd pact between them. Good addition though, I like the little bit of added depth it can brin

Yeah I had the improve relations maxed out and there was still the red X in the requirements for the button. Id want to say i had them improving for maybe a year and was never able to choose the pact to offer. It might just be on me though if i forgot a specific, i think I had 2 pact signed with italy and it said the 3rd needed 80+ improved relation when i had mid 90s. Only ever tried playing as GER boosting opinion with italy that one time. Didn't try boosting opinion after starting a second game

Also +1 the the krupp MIO task limit mentioned before. Was reading through it and im not sure why it would just go down to 0 slots since I dont think it gives any passive buffs at that point since it cant go onto a production line or research. Is it like that purely to just smack it on as the designer of tank templates?

I like the new pact system but even when I improve relations im never able to offer them to AI nations. They offer them to me and I am just kind of stuck with what they offer (if i decline they re offer the same pact forever until its accepted).

The allies seem to have a wild amount of fighter power come the battle of france making any german CAS more or less useless.

Otherwise great work, would like to see fighters be a bit tougher because it seems they can all disappear at the drop of a hat - but i know thats more of a design choice made. Good stuff, I honestly like the dockyard limits since they give more reason to build balanced navies once you get a good stockpile of dockyards.

Regarding the saved game question, I was playing 9.1.7 on Test but when it was upgraded to 9.1.9, when I loaded my old saved game I had problems, especially on my Political screen. But then i noticed the base mod was also 9.1.7, so I reloaded my Test saved game using the new base mod and so far it's worked fine.

@KSenikkas, take a copy of the downloaded mod from steam. If you need to cope with a version change - Create a new mod within the Paradox launcher. Copy the saved directory contents to the new mod's location. Create a new playset and continue with the copied old version.

I have a question: what can I do to avoid ruining my save when a sudden update comes out? I was in the year 1952, had conquered Europe and Africa with Germany, but I was playing on the August 4 version, and the August 20 update messed everything up.
