My advice would be to not play this mod with any other mod that changes landed_titles.txt or to customize your other mods to feature Northumberland from mine.
The culture in the file is now Saxon, and the Viking Invasion is now fixed so it should no longer auto-cancel.
Haha, actually that's a picture of Aella of Northumbria from History Channel's Vikings.
Cowpen is an area of my town (Blyth) but it is pronounced Cupen like Anglo-Saxon. Cambois (a small village near me) is pronounced camiss. A child is a Bairn (comes from Norse word for child). I agree it would be best to leave it as Anglo-Saxon
Interestingly enough, they actually have Strathclyde share it's history with the Brigantes tribe from antiquity, not sure how accurate that actually is.
And to remedy the multiple kingdoms would be to rename each duchy to their corresponding Briton name.
It's Welsh name is "Brygantia", the other Celts call it "Brigantia".
I'll update this soon, I have the update for this mod ready, where I make sure the Vikings are targetting "k_northumberland" instead of "k_england", which was an oversight on my part. Today's busy for me though. After that oversight is fixed I'll get on that other mod of which you speak. Honestly making new de jure titles is fun.
Will definitely consider it.
To be honest, I've been thinking of changing up the Kingdom of Africa some myself, since it's a little a-historical for the duchies to be so in-land, I'm thinking of at least making one or two duchies that are compromised of the coastal counties, and one or two south of them that are the in-land ones.
Will definitely need flags/coat of arms for these titles though, since I figure not all of them are gonna have available free-to-use ones like Northumberland does (I literally just pulled the EU4 flag for this mod....xD)
I might make a separate mod version and a combined version, unless there is a way to make it so that the two files don't overlap
They were likely targetting the Kingdom of England, which doesn't have those counties as de jure anymore.
I'll go in and make sure they're targetting Northumberland.
That also might mess up William's war in 1066. Might. I'm not entirely sure.
Funny thing, "Danelaw" is actually what it's called if Danes rule over it, but I have it as "Jorvik" when it's plain old Norse. Might change it though, if you think that would be more accurate.
