The Kingdom of Northumberland

Description
Adds a new de jure kingdom to the British Isles - Northumberland, smack dab in the middle of Scotland & England. It even converts to Northumberland in EU4!

Lothian, Galloway & Man are de jure Northumberland in the 769 & 867 bookmarks, but in 936 onwards those duchies are returned to Scotland. That's really about all there is to Northumberland, it's pretty much the British version of Aquitaine. The only other thing special about it is that it's name will change to some form of "Brigantia" if it's ruled by Celts (Welsh, Irish, Scottish). The AI Kings of England can't create the title, so like Aquitaine it will slowly drift into England unless one brave soul comes along to establish it.

Is not compatible with any mod that alters the main landed_titles.txt file.

Oh... then I'll try without the other mods

@yvictor20 ah that's the problem. You can't use more than one mod that edits the same txt file at once. Essentially the game does not separate the game files for titles by region, they are all in the same file. If two mods change the same file, then one will be cancelled out. Just how the game works.

My advice would be to not play this mod with any other mod that changes landed_titles.txt or to customize your other mods to feature Northumberland from mine.

I am using other Kingdom mods, but none that affect the same region. That's the only problem I had with the mod.

@yvictor20 Dang it doesn't? Did they update the map and titles again since when I posted this? Or were you trying to play with other mods on? Or is there some type of issue? I might be able to make a quick fix.

Bummer... this doesn't work anymore

@Wayne702 Nice! Glad you could get it working! I'm still a relative novice at modding in general, haha.

@Eternantium Hey, I got them working. I tried merging the files but it would cause ARR to just stop working. All I had to do is to add the line dependencies = { “Ancient Religions Reborn” }’ to ‘northumberlanddejure.mod.mod.mod’

@Wayne702 Hm, well I'll consider making a version. But a DIY version would be to take the titles file from Ancient Religions reborn and adding all the custom titles to this mod's file so that you can use them together.

Is there a way to make this compatible with Ancient Religions Reborn?

Alright, I updated it.
The culture in the file is now Saxon, and the Viking Invasion is now fixed so it should no longer auto-cancel.
