Also, don't use this mod for the updated game, as this is a compatibility one for before the base game changed a lot. The updated one is in the description.

Yup. That's the whole point. I found the number of turrets in the vanilla game to be a little sparse, so i made a 2x one. Many people wanted a 4x and 8x one so i made those. I mainly use one ship for combat, so to me it is fun.

It should work for versions 1.3.8 and below. It doesn't work for the current release.

when you go to select your save game, and are about to press "Load", there should be a button above the saved game stats that says "Override Galaxy's Mods". Make sure that is checked. And you do not need to have dev mode on unless you are developing mods.

I added it to the game, enabled dev mode (since it's the only additional button in the mod menu in-game) and loaded my recent game session, but nothing has changed so far :(

No. It can be added, or removed at any time. All it does, is edit the systems themselves. So if uninstalled, it will just revert back to the vanilla stats.

I didn't find the "Override Galaxy Mods "option.I only found the option "developer mode" in the module & Creative Workshop, and I'm talking about an update to the game version number.

By updates, do you mean that you enabled the mod? If so, make sure you click the box on the top right that says, "Override galaxy mods". If not, i am not sure why it is not working, as i just tested it on my game, and it works perfectly fine.

No they do not.. There is a 20x mod by another author on the workshop if you want that.

I have actually had a transporter mod created for a while, but have not made it nice and tidy for the workshop, so I finally did that. It should be up now.

You need to be carefull with the scaling turrets and H.U.G.E. ships. The UI can't handle a bazillion turrets. And yes, i noticed it the hard way

If you search the workshop for "8x Turrets with reduced energy drain" with the quotes, someone else has made one. There is also "Scaling turret system" on the workshop.

Yes they do. They should work on all systems that give increased turrets.

They do not. They only change the system that you put into your ships.

Goto \SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\445220\1817506461\data\scripts\systems

Open militarytcs.lua in Notepad
Change value:

function getNumTurrets(seed, rarity, permanent)
return math.max(4, rarity.value * 4) + getNumBonusTurrets(seed, rarity, permanent)

Change both "4" to "8" to make this mod from x4 to x8.

Im sorry. I am not sure what is wrong, but i can confirm on my end that it does work. It may be another mod interfering with mine.

I have recently updated the mod because the devs changed something in the code recently. what version of the game are you playing on?

Thanks for all your replies. I found out what's the problem, I think. I was using another mod called ancient technology or something, and that mod modifies the same file that this mod is using. So disable all other mods that modifies the file that this mods uses.

@Perpetual ive noticed any mod that add's a system upgrade to be used. causes ALL system upgrades to disappear and be unusable. ive had this happen with Wreck Hunter System Module and Nanobot System Upgrade.

I have seen both bugs, however they should not have anything to do with my mod, as it only changes a few variables, and not re-do the systems themselves.

The space stations not selling the upgrades may be from the variable equipment docks if you have that installed. Other than that, I'm not sure what could be causing the bug. I would reccommend creating a backup of your save and un-check half of your modlist at a time until you find the mod/s that are causing the bugs.
