i'm not sure
you can simply patch config to shift hue/brightness/saturation (or everything)
but i don't know how to change config in game
at least i can write c# program, in which anyone can change appearance easily, but it's not in game

Wow! I just noticed that this mod goes extremely well with the A.V.I.A.N. AI mod! The blue color matches it perfectly!

I don't know why but this is actually a must have mod. Can't go without now.

I'm assuming this just straight up retextures the background.png, blinkin.png, and blinkout.png of radio messages. As far as recoloring goes, while I think it might be a *bit* more confusing to inexperienced players how to find, unpack, and locate files in the mod, the recoloring end of it really just depends on what image manipulation software they use. Still, doing so is basically just retexturing the mod as a whole, and a tutorial would just be a cohesive guide on how to change the texture of basically anything in the game (which I'd imagine exists somewhere out there). Also, a *further* support to Hawkeye's claim, yes: this mod should be compatible with almost anything. Anything not compatible with it would still not really throw an error, so much as replace the texture or get replaced by this, depending on which mod takes priority. This is the same with all retexture mods, really.

It seems so. I've never seen any mod change this texture before. Sure I've not seen them all, but you're one of the first to do something like this.

As far as I've tested, the mod seems to work perfectly with mods that add custom SAILs. That includes the Custom SAIL mods and custom races (which come with their own SAILs).

This mod should be compatible with any mod that does not change the animation of the radio messages (like this mod does). Should be compatible with FU. :-D

does it work with FU? with custom sail? with modded races? with modded quests/dungeons?

this looks more fitting for starbound 1.4, and is also cooler than the vanilla (no offence chucklefish)
