@Bun I did find some more resources on this and found a guide that contains the things you need to help add on the bounty hunter support. In case the discussion thread I opened doesn't show up yet, here's the guide (linked below) which has a download template that you can pull from.

Ah... right, I don't know how the bounty compat would work since never messed with modding other than adding mods to my game saves. I did find some forum posts about modding help for adding bounty support to custom races, though haven't found much else unfortunately.

@Novie definitely is a possibility, though at the current moment I actually do not know how to do that. If you're aware of any documentation on the subject you can point me to, I can look into it. Right now the only NPCs that the mod actually has files for are generic tenants, guards (which I think work), merchants, and villagers (from guard.npctype, merchant.npctype, and villager.npctype, respectively) and the special merchant NPC for the outcast gear. I have no knowledge of Protogen Redux, and was never contacted on my mods integration therein.

Hey there, is there a possibility to add bounty compatibility with your mod or does it already exist?
Currently getting errors or random glitches with em not spawning properly, especially when paired with Protogen Redux which has heavy integration with yours.
Can you confirm if your mod supports being summoned in bounty targets?
Mostly asking since the Protogen Redux is attempting to add them into the peacekeeper bounty targets.

Everytime i check the crash log after uninstaling whatever mod caused the crash it still continues to find others,it could be also that i have too many race mods

@chesse generally if you open the crash log file and look for "error" it'll eventually bring you to something that may explain what went wrong, and what exactly is conflicting

i think from the 500+ mods that will either take too long or break even more things,thanks for the help either way,maybe theres one thing in particular that breaks it

@chesse that isn't a fault of this mod specifically, it's because two mods conflicting with each other. You could say the same thing about the other mods it's conflicting with as well, it would be the same. All I can suggest in your case is to try extracting the mod files and placing them in your starbound mods folder manually, then finding and editing materials so they no longer conflict. Unless something else is somehow horribly wrong anyway

for whatever reason this mod made my game unable to reboot,mostly because it has issues loading ship materials and then fucking with other mods

Guard protogens don't spawn, I'm not sure why. I have a room with a protogen closet, tv, display, and table. I have 2 war chests. I also have a durasteel bed. No protogen guard though, only other races

@PrinceJaxonHellsing Unfortunately I can't really provide support for that issue as it seems to be something on the end of Frackin' Universe, and not my mod in particular. Until the devs of that mod fix things I suggest disabling either my mod or their mod for the time being

Frackin universe updated and I think it broke the compatibility for this mod. I progressed through the start of the game with Frackin universe installed (it was the protogen ship at first), and eventually fully fixed my ship to T1 and it's a different ship. It's using the human ship model, with protogen doors and the protogen sail. When I use the sail it's using the vanilla sprite for the AI in the sail, along with hud from different mods I have like the icon next to the sails name and the name itself being holly from the lyceen race mod. The sail also has a bugged text saying "$ status -f". There's also no teleporter. I chose the regular ship and not the BYOS type and that was fine at the start too as it was using the protogen ship model

Okay.. well it doesn't seem to actually make it clear in any of the descriptions that the resprite is incompatible with the customisation and patch, but I can assume it's because of the tail changes. Either way I removed the resprite mod. Thanks

Thanks for letting me know - normally I am pretty good to read mods but in this instance I wasn't the one asking for the mod, it was SirSmore below, and they found a collection with all the Protogen-related mods together so I figured they were compatible. I did exclude one that was for FU which we don't use. I'll take a look at each of the mods to fix the conflicts.

@Lurmey Well first and foremost I can tell you didn't read the instructions super good on my mod pages as you have installed several addons which conflict with each other. The customization addon and update patch is NOT compatible with the Riv's Resprite mod at all
Other than that I genuinely do not know how most of those mods may effect things but if I get a chance to take a look sometime and see whats up I may

That's odd, it should be only pulling from its own pool of tagged items. Not sure what exactly is going on on your end as I can't test your entire exact list of mods, but I can at least tell you that isn't intended to happen lol

Quick question where does the Protogen Building Station pull it's recipes from? I thought it would just be Protogen furniture and such, but in our game it also includes a lot of seemingly disparate furniture items both pixel-printed and crafted, from Elithian Races, Felin, Kitsune mods and some vanilla things.

Seems the recipes got mistakenly removed from the species file at some point without me noticing in testing, not sure when. In the meantime before I can make another update for the mod I recommend using other armour as you mentioned, until you can craft Protogen stuff. The Protogen gear should generally be a bit stronger than other stuff in vanilla Starbound so once you get past that initial hurdle it's not so bad.

I am that brand new person hes on about and it felt impossible to even go past my starter planet because I had no access to the armor recipes on my tier 1 anvil for some reason :(

Correct me if I am wrong, but you can't craft the base game armour sets as a Protogen... The tier 1 anvil has no options in the armour category, so the only way is to either get Tungsten to make race-specific armour from the tier 2 inventor's table or purchase armour from a trader... which is rare on a lush planet if even possible.

Alternative, which we went with to help our brand-new-to-starbound Protogen player, was to craft him a set of our armour to help him survive the erchius mining facility mission. That shouldn't be required!

@Lurmey I have touched nothing of vanilla progression with my mod, the species sprites are designed to still work with all vanilla armour sprites, other than helmets. The Protogen specific armour is more of a slight upgrade than it is intended to be a parallel to the original stuff. I recommend using one of the base game armour sets until you can craft the Protogen gear.

Why does this mod make it so difficult to start? You have to complete the erchius mining facility to get tungsten to get even the first tier of armour.. which is largely needed to do the mining facility mission!

i just really like how it doesnt have the weird legs that look like you grabbed a really wide frying pan and hit a protogen in the knees with it

@Palynium given that that mod was last updated 4 years ago and that changing IDs likes to make existing saves get wonky I don't know if I will fix it anytime soon to make it compatible. A patch file maybe for those that need it but we'll see

I mean though you can get a Tier 1 protogen guards, but I can't seem get past that one and instead I'm getting the mixed ones.

@Bun I think I was being stupid. Basically I thought whatever the "Proto Techsuit" items were was the body glitching out, as the clothes look like a blacked out muscular body
