I've used this a few times after being frustrated with Atan2, it works phenomenally!

It is not a necessary field at all, autopilot will work without it

Incase you want to use it:
Target rotation can have a number (between 0 - 360) plugged into it

This number is what angle you want the ship to -try- to move at.
if it's 0 or 360, the ship will try to go north
if it's 90, the ship will try to go east
if it's 180, it will try to go south
and 270 is west.

Anywhere inbetween also works, but this is mostly just a less specific autopilot

It's for telling the ship "hey, go in kind-of this direction".

ooh ok thanks again lol

It should act as a "limit" to the rudder.

Basically, how hard can the rudder turn at most

This can help a lot with ships that may turn too hard and flip

sorry one more thing, what does the 'max turn' field do?
birb 7 Feb, 2022 @ 1:21pm
thank you!!

I'll update it to elaborate a little in the in-game descriptions, but i'll also post this here.

Target X and Target Y are both plugged into something like a large keypad. This decides where you want it to head toward.
Target X is the first number, and Target Y is the second.

Target Rotation is optional, but can be used to try to keep the ship going approximately straight.

Current X is plugged into a GPS X coordinate.
Current Y is plugged into a GPS Y coordinate.

Current Rotation is plugged into a compass.

Video Output is currently not used. No need to touch it.

you don't have to do this, but is it possible you could list what the nodes need to be connected to? im very confused lol

And also where do i connect the target rotation?
RockedRed 18 Feb, 2021 @ 6:11am
What do i connect the switch box with for it to turn off and on??
Rayus  [author] 29 Jul, 2020 @ 12:40pm
It is always on, use a switchbox to change the values
Zegarra 29 Jul, 2020 @ 10:42am
Hi, how i put it On? he dont have a On/Off
Rayus  [author] 27 Jun, 2019 @ 8:39pm
Target rotation is a number between 0-360, for example a keypad. It's not required to make it work, but it's an alternative if you dont wanna use coordinates.
