- Two checkpoints. No. Needs at least three (Maybe one just after the first dweller platform?)
- The ballons: You can't force the player to correct the direction mid-air and correct the jump after each ballon. The ballons should be a continuous movement, a moment for the player to relax and enjoy. That was the purpouse in the main game.
- The dweller part: I get it. It's cool on paper but the execution ends up with REEEEEALLY tight jumps and Hat timing. Give the player a second to correct any mistakes.
- The falling platforms: The last ones are a really big problem. I just finished the dweller part with the rockets and i need to do another falling platforms section? Honestly, most of the people who die there are going to give up. Change the last part.
BUGS
-Gears Collisions: The two gears on the pillar that you need to climb are buggy. One solution could be lowering the gears speed so Hat Kid sticks properly.
The second gear is a bit trickier. Check for the pillar collision, 100% the reason for the bug.
The 3 balloon jump would be much easier if the camera was more co-operative. After I turned off the automatic camera I managed to do alright.
Final section with the dweller sections were probably the best part since you couldn't just brute force your way through them.
Is the falling blocks part even possible without a modded hat?
The worst part of this rift has to be the ballon part.
It should be really easy to do, but it's not.
Because of the way the ballons are placed you need to turn 90° in the air and then do a double jump after the last ballon to make it onto the platform.
Getting the right angle here is just really annoying to do.
And even if I do make it sometimes I don't even hit the third ballon
The parts after this are okay but then there's the dweller part.
The death barrier is too far down and it takes what feels like forever to die. The rockets are also pretty annoying.
This level just needs more checkpoints and more health-pons
But PLEASE add a bit more checkpoints. It's frustrating at that point.
Though, some parts could use some work, like the gears or for me the numerous falling platforms immediately before the Time Piece (seriously, the logs AND Dweller segments were enough, so having a miss to reset all that progress is not very friendly).
Still, great job.
Is using Time stop Hat the correct route?
