Absolutely wonderful mod, both this and the 9mm sidearm one. Guns are supposed to sound like guns, not like toys. :MrFoster:

award for you!

I always thought the sounds kind of got worse or are bad now and this explains everything. Just why tripwire lol.

Thanks

So I did remember right. I was just looking for whatever gun makes the bullpup sound that I loved and of course it was early acces sounds. Same crap like the 9mm Beretta.
Why did they do this?! I thought their goal was to make 'em sound like real guns.
No, the new ones don't sound "more like guns", they sound more like what gamers have been tricked into thinking guns sound like. The old ones sound more like guns. The concussive blast and the reverb sound much more like the inhumanely loud thing that guns are.

Thank you for this, and I hope AK12 have a new sound.

NEW SCAR: Video Game Gun
Old Scar: ACTUAL Machine Gun

Thank you for this. After they changed the Scar sounds I didn't enjoy commando as much anymore, now I'm having lots of fun as Commando again, thanks to you!
nEC 21. juni 2020 kl. 5:11
thank you anyway
nEC 21. juni 2020 kl. 4:59
thats sad. i know how that feels, it took so much times for a soundmod especial testing the 3p weapon sound
Bunslinger  [ophavsmand] 21. juni 2020 kl. 4:19
unfortunately no, in making this soundpack and many others i would basically just make the whole thing and test it all in-game at once and write down everything that needed to be fixed
nEC 21. juni 2020 kl. 1:19
hey Bunslinger
do you know any method to test the soundmod quickly?
i made some sound mods but every test and adjust need to restart the game many times
AveragePixel 27. apr. 2020 kl. 4:45
This brings back a lotta memories
Doc Artyom 30. mar. 2020 kl. 23:42
the old weapons sound better. damn
Bunslinger  [ophavsmand] 10. nov. 2019 kl. 0:05
I think the KF1 soundpack in the guides section of killing floor 2 has already done that
Fading Glimmer 9. nov. 2019 kl. 18:06
Hey, would it be possible for you to make a Husk Fireball Launcher sound mod that uses the sound effects from the first game?
Bunslinger  [ophavsmand] 10. okt. 2019 kl. 18:02
probably not, these are just recycled from KF2's early access days, i didn't make them or anything
Zucchini King 10. okt. 2019 kl. 14:41
i dont really use mods that arent maps, but these sound much beefier compared to vanilla, defintely gonna use this. Any chance we could get one for other commando weapons such as stoner and m16 m203?
Helcyk 20. juli 2019 kl. 10:42
itr's true that the vanilla sounds of the guns are pretty bland to hear ingame. i never understood why thery put them instead of already much better sounds. thank you
Surprise 13. juni 2019 kl. 12:39
you are the best! I don't even know how could sound director think that the semi- and auto-fire different sounds would be a good idea :steamfacepalm:
spleedtbips 3. juni 2019 kl. 9:29
Thanks bun i hope its soon
Bunslinger  [ophavsmand] 2. juni 2019 kl. 13:41
In the next upcoming version/overhaul of the FNV soundpack, I'm adding some Fallout 4 sounds to fill gaps and reduce the amount of repeated sounds, so instead of using the 10mm pistol sound from new vegas, it'll use the automatic 10mm pistol sound from fallout 4, which I think will fit it better.
spleedtbips 2. juni 2019 kl. 7:26
dawg, can you upload a custom p90 sound. The vanilla one sounds like someone dropping a dinging a metal bar - and your fallout one sounds a bit too high caliber.
Bunslinger  [ophavsmand] 31. maj 2019 kl. 14:22
Check my workshop, should be up!
Call Me Kane 31. maj 2019 kl. 9:50
could you return us an early access pistol sound please.. thanks
Bunslinger  [ophavsmand] 29. maj 2019 kl. 19:39
No problem!
Shlaf 29. maj 2019 kl. 19:36
Thanks, I really appreciate your help, these sounds are really nice! Keep publishing :Alberts:
Bunslinger  [ophavsmand] 29. maj 2019 kl. 19:30
If you are missing any directories/folders at this point, just create them. So in that KFGame you want to make the folder structure like Published->BrewedPC->WWiseAudio->Windows->, and then the Windows folder is where you want to put the .bnk files.
Shlaf 29. maj 2019 kl. 19:24
Yup thanks for the reply, was my fault didn't go to the right directory, but still, I'm in "C:\Users\Username\Documents\My Games\KillingFloor2\KFGame" and don't find the published folder... :/
Bunslinger  [ophavsmand] 29. maj 2019 kl. 19:02
@shlaf that sounds like the file didn't download, so I'd try
1. making sure you're subscribed, and if you are, unsubscribe and resubscribe
2. run KF2 to make sure it downloads the file
3. make sure you're in the right directory afterwards
Templestoner 29. maj 2019 kl. 16:44
Cool! Back in my 2016. :CurvedClip:
Shlaf 29. maj 2019 kl. 16:01
Hello there, if the 232090 file is missing, what can I do?
Batt3rHeadz 29. maj 2019 kl. 11:10
After discored that i was pasting in the wrong folder, i did it, and yeah, sounds are good ;) ty :)
Rom@n DeaD™ 29. maj 2019 kl. 9:03
Thank you! :glutton:
Cupcake 28. maj 2019 kl. 21:47
Generally don't comment on mods like these but holy moly you can hear that difference. Also posting that link on your other sound mod to help peeps get going on the modding was legit, kudos to keeping the modding dream alive mate!
Bunslinger  [ophavsmand] 28. maj 2019 kl. 20:08
I've always wanted to try tbh, I feel they could be louder.

It might just be humans though because last I remember I think Zed footsteps are all in their respective soundbanks, which I'd be unable to rebuild with the free version of Wwise that only allows up to 200 sounds, on top of it being incompatible with mods by others that I use and enjoy.
sasuke100 28. maj 2019 kl. 17:26
@Bunslinger Are you planning to make louder footsteps sound or different footsteps for both human and Zeds?
LivingWithGames 28. maj 2019 kl. 16:29
Not all heroes wear capes. This being said, well fucking done!
Rascal 28. maj 2019 kl. 14:44
Doing great work with the EA sound restore. Would love to see the other perks done as well.
Rewire 28. maj 2019 kl. 9:50
Very nice job, Bunslinger. I've always wanted the Early Access "SCAR" sound back, because as a personal preference i've always liked it a lot more. I'm pretty reluctant in trying mods in general, but this... this i had to try. I love it. Bravo.

Do you also create icons in-games?
nEC 28. maj 2019 kl. 6:34
yes , just yes
Stokowsky 28. maj 2019 kl. 6:27
I was just watching some old youtube video and I realized how much I miss the "original" AR 15 sound.
Partisan 27. maj 2019 kl. 21:49
Thank you for making this
