I don't think this game gets any updates, so it should work unless you have mod that conflicts
also "It affects ONLY freshly generated ore veins!" depending on your draw distance you could generate all ore veins within 512 blocks radius... enabling mod afterwards will force you to go out of that area to look for new ore veins

nope
the complains that too slow/too hard were super common, so he created rapid, made it default and made it affect everything
the funny part is that I have heard he was making voting for feature/change/whatever somewhere
but nowhere was it mentioned that such thing would happen and I don't remember where exactly was the vote :D
that's his personal way of making settings

so, rapid affecting everything randomly is acceptable in his own way
but, would require someone to run throught all machines and check whether they have something like this or not :D
basically pyrothermic generator says:
if rapid resources tripple power generation
if easy power 2.5x more power
if rush mode 5x more power
and it's stacking too
mod would have to remove 'if rapid resources tripple power generation' and that's it
other machine might have it implemented in different way
for sure compatibility with other mods might be affected
=> Jip i know, i think because it has different genarating code/seed. The same happens if you change your game folder name => changed terrain genaration that gives that issue too on new generated chuncks
Unless game goes bonkers with coordinates it should do the job.
For sure I have managed to fix underground, and instead of totally removing organic rocks, plants and crystals I have left them as very rare (very very)
I have also managed to remove ores from caves, this way the spawn only on sky islands
The only thing that I wonder is magmacite... It doesn't spawn on islands and I can leave it in the magma ocean in magma caverns
And mobs spawn down there naturally :D

Did you notice that top textures of magma are invisible on the floor of sky islands?
For whatever reason the same bug happens in other locations too o-o
As of now... I have managed to clean up crystals, army fo plants and halve amount of hiveminds.
Need to clean up hiveminds and organic rocks for success.
The caverns will be empty, but at least they will give people free space to build underground ;D

They are there in vanilla, just the islands are too short.

My server is on a linux that has no secret nightly build so no worry about that ;-)

also in P25 dev made it so mynocks finally spawn 32+ (or at least he says so, I didn't check if that works)

My plan skyisland, greg but infinite extractors on coal and biomass or i got only one vein left of a resource on the map, all run on a 24/7 personal server ;)
But well, infinite power cube + some explosives should do the job.
This cube boosts explosives to max lvl instantly.

At the depth of cold caverns there is just solid stone, not even single cave.
In the 5k mod I could add cold cavern, toxic cavern and magma caverns back into game I think
You need to place the machine under height -200 which is still accessible underneith the lava => I tested it and got C5 and filtration to work (used your chat mod to build them) ;-)

What's the usage for chromium/molybdenum on sky islands?
The higher ores don't have any usage on any mode ;D
The ores were at the heights listed in previous comment.
Now I need to find out how to move this fake lava textures and how to move deeper the grassy land.
I have found some pieces of grassy land code... it's going to be rough lol
Anyway if you want then I can release the mod which expands sky islands up to 5k
and I will mess with the grassy land on the side
4k is top for uranium
I can go somewhere lower to check tho.
That's the ore list:
3,5k-4k uranium
no magmacite
2,5k-3k super hard rock
1,8k-2k molybdenum ore
1.6k-1.7k chromium ore
those gaps between ores are weird

I don't know how to move this fake lava textures, no idea how it's called too
but increasing the range where islands spawn world properly, there were islands on the height of 5k
But! the stuff that is responsible for size of the stuff is "static", which means that I can access it outside of it's original location, I will try to edit the world after it has created itself :D
also it seems that on P24 sky islands are even smaller, on P25 bottom was at -6500, on P24 bottom is at -4096
(top is 5k on both, but 1500-5000 is just plain air)

The modification after the world was created worked... kinda, some options worked, while others did literally nothing
I can try later to see what happens.
If it works then I would surely throw something extra ;D
Like replaca lava ocean under the fake lava textures with the surface from creative mode :V
Also higher than 5000 and lower than -6500 there is literally nothing in sky islands, no code (if you even reach those places... game will go mad and start spamming log with errors), creative and survival have code up to 9223372036854775807 and as low as -9223372036854775808
There is 1 problem...
They are supposed to spawn on heights where sky islands don't reach ;-; (last sky island is 1500, while the lowest of those ores is 1600 and uranium spawns even at 4000)
Also found another code for sky islands, this one should work better, it looks normal
Maybe there is a code that spawns coal and copper on the CPH island? Let me find a vein furture away!
For me ores had 2560 (but I have tested only tin and coal veins that were around 70-100)
I just wish it won't have some weird side effects ;d
