Alright, I never add/remove mods mid game unless something breaks. Guess I am to check what mod might be conflicting, got around 70 active mods in my game.

I don't think this game gets any updates, so it should work unless you have mod that conflicts

also "It affects ONLY freshly generated ore veins!" depending on your draw distance you could generate all ore veins within 512 blocks radius... enabling mod afterwards will force you to go out of that area to look for new ore veins

Does this still work? I have a feeling it's not working anymore or I was unlucky to have a very small vein at the start that made me feel like it wasn't. Haven't played in a long time but used this since forever I think lol. Love all your work though. Do you still do mods though? I have a small request regarding the infinite actions mod you have and that would to have and xml or something sh you could choose what item you wanted to be infinite. In this case I would only want pings for example.

the main problem with coding is -> he had his idea -> people complained complained -> he updated the idea with info from complains -> another guy complains about something else -> he gets fed up and doen't update this further

the complains that too slow/too hard were super common, so he created rapid, made it default and made it affect everything


the funny part is that I have heard he was making voting for feature/change/whatever somewhere
but nowhere was it mentioned that such thing would happen and I don't remember where exactly was the vote :D

I think there is something wrong with his coding. If you change resource settings it should not affect power level in any way. Power level has its own settings.

about why he ignored you...

that's his personal way of making settings

"this settings affects everything and beyond"
"this settings affects 1 thing"
"this settings affects nothing"
"setting dynamic fps will fuck up your game"

so, rapid affecting everything randomly is acceptable in his own way

ye, it's moddable

but, would require someone to run throught all machines and check whether they have something like this or not :D

basically pyrothermic generator says:

if rapid resources tripple power generation
if easy power 2.5x more power
if rush mode 5x more power

and it's stacking too

mod would have to remove 'if rapid resources tripple power generation' and that's it

other machine might have it implemented in different way

for sure compatibility with other mods might be affected

Did you know that without any mod if you change the resource level settings from rapid to any other resource level it somehow affects the energy level in the game. Pyrothermic generators and turbines produce much less energy. You can not play the game with less resources but the same energy level. I told the developer but he does not care. I wonder if this could be fixed with a mod?

=> Jip i know, i think because it has different genarating code/seed. The same happens if you change your game folder name => changed terrain genaration that gives that issue too on new generated chuncks :steamfacepalm:

I have added "If height is lower than 0"
Unless game goes bonkers with coordinates it should do the job.

For sure I have managed to fix underground, and instead of totally removing organic rocks, plants and crystals I have left them as very rare (very very)
I have also managed to remove ores from caves, this way the spawn only on sky islands
The only thing that I wonder is magmacite... It doesn't spawn on islands and I can leave it in the magma ocean in magma caverns
And mobs spawn down there naturally :D

Did you notice that top textures of magma are invisible on the floor of sky islands?
For whatever reason the same bug happens in other locations too o-o

I'm messing around with a fix ;D
As of now... I have managed to clean up crystals, army fo plants and halve amount of hiveminds.
Need to clean up hiveminds and organic rocks for success.

The caverns will be empty, but at least they will give people free space to build underground ;D

I don't have to add those 3 ores :D
They are there in vanilla, just the islands are too short.
What about caverns?

My server is on a linux that has no secret nightly build so no worry about that ;-)

About the P25 keep in mind, this time he updated only "staging" beta, the "secret-nightly" beta is outdated.

So you want the mod with 5k islands or nope :D?
Add caverns to it or nope? (cold/toxic/magma | all/only chosen)

He did it on the morning stream friday after i asked him a 10the time to change it but the end he changed it, he build the update without checking if his change worked so i need to test it. XD Anyhow scince p25 will be the very last update....

I still gonna use your room mod as i find it glamous change of the game => encourage nice building of rooms now :steamhappy:

also in P25 dev made it so mynocks finally spawn 32+ (or at least he says so, I didn't check if that works)

Eternal night and hard mobs possible too but with lot of GoL mods too like the bleuprint (it it works on a server) paste build, auto placer .... intotal around 20 mods ;-)

btw greg resources doesn't affect energy that much, you are basically going to have almost the same power as plentiful resources
scarce power has noticable difference tho

If you manage to fit magmabore there with just this then you are god :V

But well, infinite power cube + some explosives should do the job.
This cube boosts explosives to max lvl instantly.

How are you going to fight cryoplasm o-O?
At the depth of cold caverns there is just solid stone, not even single cave.
In the 5k mod I could add cold cavern, toxic cavern and magma caverns back into game I think

You need to place the machine under height -200 which is still accessible underneith the lava => I tested it and got C5 and filtration to work (used your chat mod to build them) ;-)

There is one thing I wonder....
What's the usage for chromium/molybdenum on sky islands?
The higher ores don't have any usage on any mode ;D

Just teleported around and it worked!
The ores were at the heights listed in previous comment.

Now I need to find out how to move this fake lava textures and how to move deeper the grassy land.
I have found some pieces of grassy land code... it's going to be rough lol



Anyway if you want then I can release the mod which expands sky islands up to 5k
and I will mess with the grassy land on the side

at 5k nothing spawns ;d
4k is top for uranium

I can go somewhere lower to check tho.



That's the ore list:
3,5k-4k uranium
no magmacite
2,5k-3k super hard rock
1,8k-2k molybdenum ore
1.6k-1.7k chromium ore

those gaps between ores are weird

but increasing the range where islands spawn world properly, there were islands on the height of 5k

Ok... world generation kicks before mods, if I try to edit it then my mod will do literally nothing.
But! the stuff that is responsible for size of the stuff is "static", which means that I can access it outside of it's original location, I will try to edit the world after it has created itself :D


also it seems that on P24 sky islands are even smaller, on P25 bottom was at -6500, on P24 bottom is at -4096
(top is 5k on both, but 1500-5000 is just plain air)

The modification after the world was created worked... kinda, some options worked, while others did literally nothing

if the game loads mods before world generation then, yes I can.
I can try later to see what happens.

If it works then I would surely throw something extra ;D
Like replaca lava ocean under the fake lava textures with the surface from creative mode :V


Also higher than 5000 and lower than -6500 there is literally nothing in sky islands, no code (if you even reach those places... game will go mad and start spamming log with errors), creative and survival have code up to 9223372036854775807 and as low as -9223372036854775808

Sky islands has code to spawn molybdenum, chromium, magmacite, super hard rock and uranium o-O
There is 1 problem...
They are supposed to spawn on heights where sky islands don't reach ;-; (last sky island is 1500, while the lowest of those ores is 1600 and uranium spawns even at 4000)

The code which spawns base has code for coal, and it's 4095 ore per block unless mod says less (also ore extractor automatically resets it into 2560)

Also found another code for sky islands, this one should work better, it looks normal

For me ores had 2560 (but I have tested only tin and coal veins that were around 70-100)
