Lampros, yeah same way this mod works if you edit it, but I can't seem to update my mods.

Tomb kings is just currently set at 0 base income, so just change that to higher, same tables as the others from what I know.

Do you know of a way to give TK some base income? Obviously not 2500 or 3500 but something reasonable like 500-100?

If it wasn't for the launcher problem I'd probobly release 10-20 more mods by now and kept old updated, but the problems kinda killed my vibe for this game, barely playing it because of that, or buying DLC.. they should figure out their problems.

Heck I even cleanly installed my PC, installed steam and game and still same problem.

Not sure, I'v been having trouble with the launcher, keeping me from beeing unable to update my mods or upload new ones.. I have 5 new mods I havn't been able to post for soon a year now.. they broke the launcher at some point and it stopped working propperly, I'v reinstalled the game, steam and all but nothing.

@The-Almighty-Zugs I'm not sure how I would limit it to the player only tbh, I would have to look through the files to find where such a setting could be implemented, and it was a long while since I made a mod for TWW1-2 so not as familiar with PFM anymore.

But what you could do is customise this mod to only affect the faction you'r playing, that would be simple number change in this mod, but it's not perfect sollution to your wish.

although I do think there are mods that gives only the player more gold base income? search mods for more gold and try to find one that only affect the player I think there are.

Once again I have problem updating my mods haha, but they should still all be compatible with the new update anyway if you check load out of date mods.

Indeed - I am going to keep the 3500 you have for the majors and reduce it to the vanilla 2500 for the minors. I hope this is sufficient, as I really don't like the current outcome post-patch. If this is insufficient, then I may take a look at mods like this as well:

@Lampros Ah I see what you mean, yeah I do like the idea of having major factions surviving a bit better, but probly not gonna change this mod though since some like the even more sandbox feel this update give.


but if I or you make this change with a mod I would deffinetly consider increasing the Major factions from the base income, or remove the bonus from a mod like this to the minor factions.

be sure not to decrease the income of minor factions from the Vanilla base as that might lead to them not beeing able to raise an army at all ! :)

Although I think are mods released that add the major factions auto balance buff.

A perfect mod for this imo would be a slightly smaller buff on auto balance for major factions but a bit more gold to them maybe, I like when mutliple smaller things add together for a less obvious and more fluid shift.

I think you misunderstand me - or more likely I mis-spoke. I should not have said that this mod makes the balance "worse." In fact, there should be no difference between un-modded and this mod in terms of balance contribution, precisely because both "major" and "minor" factions have the same income in both set-ups. What I should've said was that - given the patch getting rid of major faction AR bonuses - major factions are now in need of a significant boost to restore a semblance of balance. And perhaps creating an income gap may be a solution. I am going to test by reducing minor faction income by -1000 and then go from there. (But that may not be enough, as some minor factions now start with 4 provinces?[!!!).

@Lampros, aye I'v tested the mod after launch in a campaign and one without aswell.

Although I didn't actully notice much difference with what factions survived or not with this mod on.

I think the problem is almost exclusivly that they changed the auto resolve change.

but it could be something to add to a mod like this if you wanted to rebalance it back to how it was before the update.

but I probly won't add it to this, but instead make another one if so.

I think you should change the minor faction GDP back to default. Since the patch the major factions are frequently getting run over by minors due to the loss of auto-resolve bonuses. This makes the problem worse. Both main Vamp factions are gone by turn 50 or thereabouts, because Stirland, etc. whips on them, LOL. Heck, minor Dwarf factions are top 5 even as late as turn 150.

@Kurisu Shirayuki no, but most play throughs tomb kings used by AI will still flourish anyway, and if used by player it's not gonna be completly game changing for the other Ai factions either, at most unless using other mods it might be like a 3rd of a difficulty jump.

Most noticble difference is just the smaller factions of Ai will be slightly better off against the bigger factions of Ai, to the already big factions a little bit extra gold won't do much.

Yeah I think it's compatible with most mods that don't specifically change base income stats.
