BlackHUD should be pretty stable on its own. However, other addons may collide with BlackHUD and cause problems. I can't guarantee a fix for every single addon on the GMod steam workshop but you can help me finding the troublemakers by looking for addons that cause these problems and report them to me either via this comment section or via chat. When I have collected enough addons which cause problems with the menu of BlackHUD, I will try to work out a general fix to make it compatible with these addons again.

For whatever reason it started working again after a good reset of my addons, but I'm unsure if it's recurring for other people.

It turns out that the problems with the menu not working properly are due to conflicts with other HUD addons. I will try to contact the developers of the other addons so I can lookup their source code and find the colliding code and fix BlackHUD. Until that happens, the only option is to have only one HUD addon installed. I've put a list of known addons that are causing issues on the addon description. If you find another issue and are able to narrow down the addon causing it, please feel free to contact me or report it here in the comments so other people can reproduce the issue and confirm it.
