@m.se This is the First National; Stars and Bars is indeed what it was nicknamed, The Bonnie Blue was never an "official" CS flag, to my knowledge. The Stars and Bars were replaced by the Stainless Banner (gotten rid of because the white field looked too much like a surrender flag) and then the Bloodstained Banner - the Third National.

The iconic Battle Flag (specifically of the Army of Northern Virginia; other armies used different variants of the design) came into use alongside the First National because the latter was too easily mistaken for a US flag.

Please ignore that \/ I was wrong... mostly? The flag you have here is not the Confederate battle flag (as I wrongly suggested) but one of the national flags of the confederacy. After disposing of their first flag, which was deemed "too blue", the confederacy used the flag you have here, of which I have forgotten the name. They didn't use it the whole war, and not at the end so I guess I was kinda right?

Not the actual confederate flag lmao. The actual flag at the end of the war was the "Blood-Stained Banner". The one you have there is the flag of the confederate army.

The navy has the battleflag in the upper left set in a field of white, i know its not possible to have seperate flags for the navy and army units in hoi4 however

The army and navy units are both using the naval jack, though. Army units should use the square-shaped battle flag. Just a thought.

@Mtvrr123. Anarchy is not left wing. It is impossible. Left and right are based on economics. The farther left you go, the more control the state has. The farther right you go, the less control the state has. There is no way to have anarchy on the left because anarchy requires abolishing the state. If there is a state to regulate and centrally plan an economy, there is no anarchy. Authoritarian and Libertarian can be left or right. They have nothing to do with economics.
Also, there are left-wing nations in history that used religion for their goals. Cuba, Bolivia, and Romania for example.
Fascist states have an economy regulated heavily by the state. Unlike communist, fascist gave some profit to business owners, but both systems have production controlled by the state, price controls, and a large social safety net. Mussolini was apart of far-left groups before creating fascism as well. The Nazi party has "Socialist" in the name. This definition have not changed since the 1930's

Please dont compare Fascism to a monarchy as there is a big diffrence, also anarchism simply cannot be a right wing thing simply because the right wing support one thing that the left wings dont have, and thats one thing: Religion. To be honest I do not like the idea that in order to go fascist you must become Republican first. Fascism could take root under any political leaning, also why do people consider fascism a far right ideology? Wouldn't it be a far left ideology since it is the same as a monarchy, or communist society in the way that it is governed, ruled by one supreme ruler with no challenge to authority? Also wouldn't anarchism be a far right ideology since it is a society with no government, since republican ideology wants less government control and it is considered to be right-wing, while democratic ideology wants more government control hence left-wing. To top it all off, the confederacy was not a fascist country as it was simply a portion of america who didn't agree with the fact that they were not being heard in the house and senate because their states didn't have the same population that the northern states had and so they separated from the union as a democracy.

You're all wrong. Republicans were the first to adopt liberal beliefs out of Europe to their fullest extent, and opposed slavery. The Democrats accepted them over the rest of the 1800's and by the mid 1900's, had gone even further left than the republicans had.

Also this flag looks great but historically the third and final flag of the Confederate States of America was the Blood Stained Banner. I am only saying that the Blood Stained Banner is the correct flag BUT this one looks really good so no complaints.
