- edit "c:\Users\***\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Shogun2\scripts\user.script.txt" and insert mod large_font.pack
I did a quick revision and the mod still works enabling it in the launcher.
The solution is to enable it manually in launcher -> mod manager. Seems to be working afterwards. In game somewhere bigger text does not fit the designated area and is truncated, but as far as I understand, this is an expected side effect of the mod.
I've subscribed the mod from Steam,
I've placed the .pack file in the data folder,
I've created the user.script.txt file with this text - mod "large_font.pack";
I've unistalled the game and Steam once.
Am I missing something? Maybe Steam mods require some additional procedure? Maybe Shogun 2 does? Maybe the script file requires some additional text?
I'm running the game on W10. Thank you!
now i can read the text again
Normally this file is created by the game and lists the mods and the load order. Glad you found a solution.
Are you using other mods besides this one?
@ZerooX: Could you make a version, that's just a tad bigger?
Say 20 px to 22 rather than untouched. 18 px to 22. And all others +6, rather than +4.
If the mod touches the files where the fonts are located that could lead to a conflict. You can modify the script file that lists the load order of the mods, and change the load order. You may need to find the file X:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Shogun2\scripts\user.script.txt
It does! Also the font supports some special characters.
