Well, that's not notrmal behavior from the game itself. Try to remove the mod, not only disable it.

when i turned the mod off i can no longer click on anything in the start menu :/

I have an update ready for this mod where I fine-tune the balance, I'm waiting until the next official udapte to release it.

I'm so glad people are still making mods for Tangledeep. (Albeit very slowly)
This mod looks like a nice change of pace from the normal experience, so I'll be sure to give it a shot when I have the time.
