Scouts to horsemen: I like that idea a lot.
Nothing (?) upgrading into the landship > tank > modern armor > GDR line: doesn't quite make sense to me, since tanks (and to some lesser extent mechanized infantry) are, at least in my understanding, the modern-day embodiment of cavalry.
Lancers to helicopter gunships: Lancers are already outdated and on the verge of uselessness for a long time before upgrading to anti-tank guns. Making them wait and upgrade into helicopter gunships keeps them sidelined for just too long, at least from a gameplay perspective.
Anti-tank guns to bazookas, and an anti-tank promotion for bazookas: I like this rather much. I do find it a bit odd that the bazooka is ranged, given that the anti-tank gun is not, but it's not too strange to deal with.
All that long-windedness aside, these are only my opinions; feel free to disagree, disapprove, disregard, etc. I'm fully aware that I'm odd in my opinions sometimes, but I thought I'd share anyhow.
