Is this a bug: When my colonists melee hunt, they never actually use slashing or cutting, but always the blunt attack?

When I was in dev mode and I went to spawn something I noticed that there are so many ammo types that theres no weapon for. (.338 Lapua, 12.7x55mm AR, 7.92x57mm Mauser)

ok sounds good. Yeah there was some serious pathing issues for aiming, my pawns would ride to hunt something and 100% of the time i didn't pay attention i lost a animal to ff lol

I'm discontinuing the updates of this CE.
Because of the a lot of reasons. Including time, study, etc.
But I'll continue to contribute in original CE development.

If anyone else has a similar problem, try disabling the 'Lets Trade!' Mod, worked for me.

Anyone else got a problem where you can only make 556 ammo? There aren't any other ammo recipes in the loading bench.....

@Terranos (Oberon Prime) - have to research machining, and then in prod. tab build a loading bench. then make a job for .303 ammo

What happened to flak vest(from CE)? It seems that material doesn't affect it armor. Synthread, hyperthread and cloth vests - all have 0.15 sharp armor.

If you're unable to treat injuries, Field Medic or another treatment-focused mod is conflicting with CE. Removing that mod or installing a compatibility patch (if available) will solve the issue.

On another note, does anyone know how to get rid of ammo? I've got tons of arrows and other junk I no longer need and it's hogging space in my stockpiles. Can it be recycled, or do I need to caravan it out and dump it? Even combat traders won't buy it.

to someone who cant craft ammo must be conflicted by "Let's trade' mod. close that mod will solve the problem.

While its true CE breaks a lot of mods... there are still a lot of mods you CAN play with. Arrows and CE work just fine. If arrows don't work then it is 100% a mod error on your end. Most likely from a weapons mod or something more of a core mod like "medieval times".

In order for CE to work properly please disable all of your weapon and race mods. also big mods like medevial times probably cause issues because I think they add weapons. Any mod that adds a weapon to your game, (melee or gun doesnt matter) must be removed. No added weapons. Also, no race mods at all. These will definitely break this CE version. Most medical mods will also break it with a few exceptions such as prisoner harvesting, ugh you got me, death rattle, nerfed parasites, less arbitary surgery. these i can confirm work. mods that add plants and drugs are okay too. specifically it seems to be certain surgery and prosthetic mods that cause problems. most of the important popular mods work great

Well that's your problem

I'm avoiding CE until compatibility patches come out. Haven't played it since the game updated, enjoying rimworld just fine with not needing to disable mods i like just because of incompatibilities, but hey that's me and not "we"

@Just Dewa, Thats not how this works. We post issues with the mod, and the modder, at least in this case the guy attempting to take over while the actual owner heals up, attempts to fix it.

We don't stay quiet and let a broken mod be broken. Especially when it fixes a lot of core issues with the game. Issues that make it unplayable in its current state.

And the idea of not play the game is just flat stupid. I love this game, but that doesn't and shouldn't stop me from criticizing it. Especially when their are a lot of massive issues with the game.

Issues that SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED YEARS AGO, BUT WERE COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY IGNORED, since the actual developer gave up bothering to fix the game since.. fuck forever ago.

CE is filled with incompatibilities, so don't expect other mods to work with it

I really want this to work, but it has so many compatibiity issues with every other bloody mod that adds to the combat in some way. Hoping for some changes soon. This game is straight up unplayable without CE.

As of now, it looks like:
Extensive Turrets somehow removes ammo from being able to be made.
Project Armory also gets the CE Effect, but requires no ammo.

@Dr. Ben Carson, I put down the crafting spot, but Arrows aren't coming up. Might be a compatibility issue with another mod?

This mod works fantastic! no problems so far, I can't wait until additional weapons are made along with compatibility patches. Very thankful that this mod exists it seems like a very well-made stable release

@Gamma Gamer: You have to put down a "crafting spot" located in your productions tab. in your crafting spot you have to make a job and you'll have a few arrows to choose from. I usually always just go for stone arrow. and make sure you have "mixed wood" as this is what they require to be made. then make sure a colonist has crafting as a job and you are good to go

I have an issue where one person is hoarding all my shields, they have them in their gear tab and are amassing them even though they have a two handed ranged weapon, any help?
