I can still play the game don't get me wrong but for some reason unless I position the mod at the top, the Musketeer patch below, and turn them on and then off, I'm always taken to the error screen and I have no idea how to remedy it. I even unsubscribed to the mod and yet the error still persists. Do you have any ideas on how I can fix this?
Thanks for the answer. Your mod is pretty fun and I apreciate your work here, but for me not being able to get the 100% of the goals, sadly, kinda ruins the experience. I know I can download another mod to remove dungeon restrictions but when I play overhauls, I want to get a non corrupted and intended autor´s full experience.
So, I don´t know if this is doable or even if you are open to make any changes but I think lowering a bit the xp resolve you get completing dungeons, should get it fixed.
For the rest I loved the mod. Thanks again for the answer. Hope this can be fixed and give it another try.
It was unintended but it didn't stop you beating the game (clearing the Darkest Dungeon), so I left it in. Now it's just another decision you have to plan around. Or just mod out the level restrictions.
As one can simply disband one hero to replace with this Lvl6 Bad boy, i though it was weird for the event to be enabled
Change "omen_seeker" to "omenseeker"
See if that works.
"falconer",
"slayer",
"wraith_ms",
"cataphract",
"thrall",
"sisters",
"seraph",
"lamia",
"omen_seeker",
"duchess",
"bogatyr",
"beastmaster",
"apostate",
"snake_charmer",
"bloat",
"beastmaster",
"thorn"
I have been using nothing except the class mods and the vanilla verison of no more heros
Could be a mod conflict. Are you running other mods besides No More Heroes and the DLC patches?
Because I made a new save with this mod load order and got all base Heroes + 3 DLC at the start of Week 4.

I'm at week 5 on a fresh save, no Shieldbreaker, Musketeer, and Flagellant...
It worked pretty well! Thanks for your response.
Well, you technically don't need to beat the bosses in order to finish the Darkest Dungeon so that doesn't really stop you from progressing.
However, I do understand the need. So, you either a) wait for the event that lets you take higher level heroes into lower level dungeons (which is pretty rare) or b) you can install another mod that removes the level restrictions on dungeons.
Can you be more specific? What are you having problems with?
Got it working. Use this:
"exorcist",
"librarian",
"falconer",
"lamia",
"thrall",
"seraph",
"sisters",
"wraith_ms"
Take note:
- "wraith" was changed to "wraith_ms"
-- I'm assuming this is Marvin Seo's Wraith, yes? That class's name in the code is "wraith_ms" because another class mod with a similar name already exists (Exaelus' Wraith)
- also, I removed the comma [ , ] from "wraith_ms"
-- If it's the last hero in the list, you don't need to add a comma. This was explained in the guide.
Here are my heroes if you still need them: "exorcist",
"librarian",
"falconer",
"lamia",
"thrall",
"seraph",
"sisters",
"wraith",
That error typically means that something is misspelled on STEP 2. Usually it's a missing comma.
I can check it out for you but you'll have to give me the list of heroes you're trying to add.

I've done everything I could, i've followed your guide on how to add mod classes to the letter and double and tripled checked to make sure all the info was right. I reinstalled the mod and all that but still the error persists. Basically what it does is that when I finish the old road mission and go to the stage coach to get all the heroes, there's absolutely no one I can recruit leaving me with only dismas and reynauld.
Use patches for DLC heroes
19 is how many you can add.
Holy crap. Somehow I messed up that feature. Thanks for telling me.
It's fixed in v1.5 and should allow you to learn 5 positive quirks and lock 4.

Start the campaign with 6 heroes. The others will arrive at random intevals.
The first issue isn't so bad. Just a few haracters given at the start apart from obvious Crus/HWM/Ves/PD: I'd say Antiq, HoundM and Grave or MaA. Only 3, it's challenging, and I like it. Will I be able to make it through another dungeon hoping for a new recruit?
The second issue, yeah testing would be needed, but I think the chance to get a new recruit event should be pretty high (33%, maybe more) . DLC and mod characters could get a lower chance than "core" characters.
It seems "Remove Level Restriction" is a must have for this. Though I also play with slower leveling.
I didn't meant to put a request on you. But if you do it, I will play it for sure. Otherwise I am gonna make an atempt to mod it on my own for my next playthrough. Not that I am confident of a success though. :)
Additionally, figuring out a decent spawn chance is tricky, and there's always the risk that a certain hero will not spawn in your playthrough if the chance is too low. Finally, if a new hero spawns and the rest of your roster is at a high level, you're going to have to drag their Lvl 0 butt to a Champion dungeon which is likely to get them killed. Though I guess you can avoid that specific problem with the "Remove Level Restrictions" mod.
It's an easy mod variant to make but I can't promise that it will be balanced. Would you be willing to test it out?
2/2
Yes, it's possible. But there may be issues.
The first problem is deciding who your starting heroes are. Crus/HWM/Ves/PD are a given but you would need another 4 as a backup in case the first squad is too stressed out. That leaves you with 7 (or 10 if +DLC) more heroes that can arrive at a later date.
The next problem is spawn rate. Currently, one of DLC heroes will spawn via Town Event after every mission. If I do the same for the other 7 heroes you will have the entire roster by week 11. That doesn't change much of the experience. If I lower the spawn rate, there's the risk of not having enough heroes to rotate between missions. I admit that that's kinda nice for adding some extra tension but there's also a chance of creating unwanted frustration.
1/2
That would keep the initial waiting required to get your hands on specific characters. I personally liked that I have to use whatever I have in the beginning, it was fun running odd squads. But I also love to only have one of each class with this mod.
It's not a request, I am just asking if it can be done. Looking at the way you handled DLC classes to come later, could this method be used on all other classes?
