Correct, the game has one-hit protection mechanism [deadcells.fandom.com] that cannot be disabled with mods. So if your health is above 25 %, the first hit drops your HP down to 1 instead of killing you.

Hi all,
I haven't had the time to test the mod with the current version 1.2.10 of Dead Cells. Today the new content introduced by the last update is not modded, i.e. new ennemies are not as powerful as their should be in Iron Heart.
I think I'll update the mod in one or two weeks maximum, to let you enjoy the original taste of the 1.2 update : )

In Iron Heart, there is no modification to the ennemies life points. The difficulty is the same as the original game with a _subtle_ difference: the player dies in one hit. This mod is much much harder than both Power Unleashed and the original game.
In Power Unleashed both the player and the ennemies die in one hit. Every attack is deadly, so the player is much more powerful.

Hi. Not really, most of use are waiting for the next update and the new modding tools to continue.
First run with your mod, ez win with 4 boss cells.
I couldn't agree more, lazy modders are lazy : ) It took me more time to resize the mod picture than to update the ennemies properties. But the longest part was fighting the keepers again and again to balance the difficulty.
In Power Unleashed you can run through levels at the speed of light, but here, you have to be very cautious and the pace is really different. Even if this mod seems to be only a small variant of Power Unleashed, Iron Heart is intended to re-create the tension you have in harcore beat-them-all games (bla bla bla), and I find it interesting enough to play with.
By the way, I gonna do more tests with keepers and push a new update soon(tm).

Hi! You know what? I totally agree with you. Finishing the game with the Iron Heart mod, without any modification to the ennemies' life points, seems almost impossible.
I may balance the keepers' life points in a future update.
