i call bullshit on you saying you don't deserve credit because this is an amazing piece of work you've made, and is probably one of the highest-effort character mods i've ever seen.
DST mods aren't compatible with single player as far as I know (they use slightly different code, which is why this mod is not in the single-player workshop, I was having trouble porting it over!)
The Lodger has SW and Hamlet lines for a couple of reasons; one is that I did at one point want to make an Alone version, but also, there are mods that bring SW and Hamlet items into DST and I wanted him to be compatible with those mods! So, sorry, but you cannot at this time use this mod for single player Don't Starve, unless Klei's made some big changes that I am unaware of (which is not impossible.)

Favourite food, new strings on character select and so on?
I can only reproduce this issue if I turn on Camp Cuisine, which also has a prefab named 'candy' that conflicts with the Hallowed Nights candy spawning and leads to this same glitch if I use any character (Wodger or canon).
