Description

This mod will no longer be kept up-to-date by me, as I am not keeping up with DST content updates.

Anyone who wishes to copy this mod, alter it, update it, reupload it, etc. is free to do so, and credit to me is not required. I don't consider myself to have any meaningful ownership of the mod, since the character belongs to Ice-pick Lodge and DST belongs to......... the people who own it : )

The Lodger now has updated custom dialog for new and new-ish DST item additions, and the character select screen will show his max stats and allude to as many of his perks as are enabled by the difficulty selection you chose in the mod configuration settings.

KNOWN ISSUES:
- The Lodger's scarf and candle are acknowledged in the character select screen, but they are not visible. They are hiding.
- I've been told he can crash if you select the option to use Wilson's speech noises in mod configuration, but I've been unable to reproduce the issue so far, and thus I have not been able to fix it. I think it's a conflict with one of the mods somewhere in this list: https://pastebin.com/tTKTeXpz (It's not Global Pause or Combined Status.) If you've seen this crash let me know.

His favorite food is perogies. So far I haven't been able to find a place to display that specific info in-game for a mod character, since they don't appear in the compendium. Let me know if I'm overlooking something.

However, you will need to not have the 'owned' filter selected in the wardobe for them to show up.

The Lodger is compatible with Forged Forge and has custom Forge perks. They are not impressive. He is not compatible with Re-Gorgitated and I do not plan to update this in the near future because I honestly see no point to using the Lodger for event play.

god damn this is impressive
i call bullshit on you saying you don't deserve credit because this is an amazing piece of work you've made, and is probably one of the highest-effort character mods i've ever seen.

@Egg (I know this is an old comment sorry)

DST mods aren't compatible with single player as far as I know (they use slightly different code, which is why this mod is not in the single-player workshop, I was having trouble porting it over!)

The Lodger has SW and Hamlet lines for a couple of reasons; one is that I did at one point want to make an Alone version, but also, there are mods that bring SW and Hamlet items into DST and I wanted him to be compatible with those mods! So, sorry, but you cannot at this time use this mod for single player Don't Starve, unless Klei's made some big changes that I am unaware of (which is not impossible.)

i recently got the base solo game of Dont Starve and realized i couldnt get this mod for it. but while reading throught the lodger's dialogue, it seemed like he had lines specifically for the Shipwrecked and the Hamlet DLC! im not asking for an update to port this mod to dont starve (i understand you dont want to work on it anymore!) im just confused as to if i can use the mod in base dont starve or not :)?
