Hm, this seems broken, at least for me — pawns attempting to pass through the door freeze in front of it, with their "interaction circle" repeatedly and infinitely appearing on top of them:

This error is reported over and over:

Exception ticking RoomWall623344 (at (129, 0, 101)): System.MissingFieldException: Field 'RimWorld.Building_Door.visualTicksOpen' not found.

The door does technically count as a permanently open "door" with only 1 HP.

Does it count as a door for raiders and such?

Like, since you are supposed to have your killbox directly connecting to your courtyard so they dont consider breaking down walls, so you cant have a door between them, but I still kind of wanted some 'dont cross this' barrier for colonists that didnt block the raiders' pathing so they still path through the killbox.

basically this is like putting tape on the floor and saying "that box is joe's room and that box is storage", but it's just tape on the floor

Think of the psychological walls as "room definers"
It's psychological, however it's not physical or magic, so they can see through it without much trouble.

Sooo what the heck is that "wooden subdoor" even for? If it doesn't define the area behind it as an actual room?

The Description doesn't really help either :/

So to recap, we now have floors that are not floors (but act like walls that aren't, really), walls that are not walls (but look an AWFUL lot like those floors), doors that are not doors (wait, aren't those also just floors? You say they're walls? but...? okay...) , and empty spaces that look like doors! (But... that IS a door! YES IT IS!? LOOK AT IT!) OH FRABJOUS DAY!

They are not physical in anyway, it's all in their head. Raiders dont care, broken colonists don't care. If you put a ring around food, your pawns will starve themselves.

From the name I thought this was a building that could go between tiles to act as a very thin wall to separate rooms more efficiently. That would be good, but probably impossible. Still, nice mod!

@andoreth : oh yea, a door like that could be cool for that mod with the fences for prisoners, so they can come in and out as they please to the prison yard

I don't know if this is possible, but I would love to see a door that looks like a door and acts like a door (open, close etc) but does not separate rooms. It would be very useful to create multi-room housing that still registers as a pawn's bedroom.

And I just fixed a major bug of not being able to deconstruct the wall divisions. So now we have floors that are not floors, but walls that act like floors.

@TheFrustratedElmo : the "wall, that is not a wall" CAN hold up roofs (it's from a different mod) <that's what i was talking about

Updated to be fireproof, and less hacky whle being more hacky. The game will now think it's a door being held open rather than opening it on every tick, and the opened flag will be forced on every tick, and the building will always be passable to any pawn during the pathfinding calls.

this goes well with the pillars mod that act like a wall that can hold up roofs, but is not a wall, coz you can pass thru it.

It doesn't use hitpoints, so if it's catching flame I'll fix it when I do some clean up.

Looks awesome, but you may want to make it non-flammable if it's not supposed to be a physical building.
