The only really annoying part about this mod are some of Charlotte's components. In particular the good and great as well as the epic one to a degree. When you put in components on the designer that aren't from the original designer pool, you still get the extra cost and build days from the good and great components. The average one can be excused though would've been better to have -2 days per million, as well as the epic could've been random legendary. But to make Santa Ana and Evans happy with their contracts it makes sense to have the extra part for free component.
The good component could've been either -2 days for 500k, or random great component.
The great could've been no condition loss on first race or +2% reliability per day built.

I've had some time with this mod, Predator can be competitive in APS straight away. cleared a 3-4 result in the first race, won the second race, and a brace of 2nd places in the next two. the fifth race is looking to be a disappointment because i don't have the means to remain competitive in intermediate conditions limited to 16 laps per stint consideing my car is the 10th worst from the start and it shows when everything is level.

i can report that both Santa Ana and Evans made 4 stars after 1 season and half, so a full 5 stars is probably not much more than at most half way through season 3. that is including a quick turn around on building all facilities in the HQ as soon as i can get them built.

Figures season 4 will be a championship year most certainly, i had to drop the awful Linares test driver and picked up Lara in season 2. that makes for one heck of a formidable line up heading into WMC, when and where possible. It is good that i suggested the epic trait be changed to what it is, i doubt i would of come close to competitive without putting on risky bits for next seasons car and have two. it is difficult to make up the difference with more than 4 part improvement to epic. legendary is probably asking a little much at this point.

Forgot to add that the 2 star Steamboat Willy Evans start has created a far better line up. he has 4 wins and has had a slightly better season that Santa Ana so far on her 3 wins. xDD

i re-ran the mod on a new playthrough. the changes made are quite helpful. okay the traits are okay and not to everyones liking but it is a solid starting point for those looking for a quick way up the ladder. once the first season is over i will have a better idea on how much progress can be made in APS.

Try this mod if you just want Predator with starting cash. It's what I used before I decided I wanted to give Predator a little more 'oomph'

Thanks for the feedback! Once I'd gotten into the APS at the first attempt I found a couple of things I wanted to change too. For all the potential the staff and drivers had, they weren't strong enough after a season to make any headway after promotion.

Drivers now start at 16. Both they and the team are at max marketability. I swapped the random legendary engineer trait for the double part trait. The mechanics now have nurse. All staff now at least 2 stars at beginning and improve slightly more quickly than they did before.

Given it a test, a few things could do with an improvement. the race mechanic traits are set to sweet spot and pit stop legend. the sweet spot part is fine, i think Nurse is a better trait to have in the races to make the cars virtually bullet proof every season and make the mechanics very valuable.

The chief designer could do with a better epic trait, something more useful than a random legendary, it creates an awkward situation where you don't get the same engines and your drivers start making noise about how they aren't equal for season 2. something else that would provide equality would be nice and for legendary i think it might be better to get two of the same parts from a single development rather than out right performance. it saves time and effort biulding up these legendary parts from the start and you hit the ground running quickly for each serason.

Drivers could be made 16 years old instead of 18 to take full advantage of the wonderkid trait and they would last even more longer. The driver marketability makes it impossible to gain 4 star sponsors since they are both at 50% marketability, with 100% team marketability it only hits 66%. so it really isn't taking advantage of what is there, if they both had 65%-75% each, it would put the team inside 4 stars and take advantage of that in later seasons, especially when the drivers start asking for more in their contracts since they are signed for 500k per. But really if you are going for overboard on driver stats? then you might as well got 100% across the board.
