Doesn't that just require a metro sub-building to work properly? They're different building AIs, surely..

I mean regular trains but with underground stops as well as ground level stations.

The railway replacer mod also complicates things in terms of how I share it on the workshop -_-
I don't know what you mean by non-metro underground, unless you mean vanilla metro but not MoM metro
Robert  [author] 23 Apr, 2019 @ 10:34pm
Basically all of the inner west stations are fucked up in similar ways, though. They're all either half sunken (cut into a hill), or enter from a bridge (not really possible in skylines). It doesn't get normal til you get past Strathfield, basically. But I will figure it out as I go.

Underground non-metro stations would also be cool

I do, but every time I think about how to do it I get a headache. It's built into a hill, there's so many different elevations at play, so many entrances, four different types of transport (if you count rail and metro separately), probably needing custom networks, probably needs MoM integration to properly link up the non-intercity platforms with an underground city circle.. plus it's in the middle of construction for the foreseeable future.. do I settle for a different point in time? It's a dizzying challenge. I am going to focus on other stations first, since I have zero experience making stations.. I will focus on inner west stations and city circle stations until I am confident to try Central.
BBR34 23 Apr, 2019 @ 10:08pm
Do you plan on making central Station?

Going from memory since I'm on my phone, I have set all my carriages at 80 capacity since they are double deckers. So the 8 car would be able to move 640 people at a time.

hi whats the capacity of the trains? thanks

Fair enough, it looks great in any case and really appreciate someone doing Sydney based content. Cheers mate

I'll make a promise, if one day I make it through the entire rest of the fleet and get around to making the S set, I will revisit this one to make it more accurate so that they are distinct. But yeah, fully acknowledge I consciously blended the two
Robert  [author] 8 Sep, 2018 @ 3:33pm
You're right, and I made mention of this on the 4-car item. I would have needed three meshes if I set the panto on the first trailer, so I compromised on that. S sets are also the ones with the narrower ridges on the upper sides I've included here, where K sets have the same size ridge. Inot even sure if K sets have those fans on the top. It's a blended recreation :)

Um, that is not a K Set, K sets have their Pantographs on the Trailer cars not on the Driver Motor cars. Seems you have blended a K set with an S Set Series 3.

can you make a 6 car version
Lordwarblade 30 Aug, 2018 @ 11:12pm
Having the train set up in 2 four car sections trumps any worries about it not fitting the passenger stations in-game. It adds realism. If you've ever travelled by rail to Woy Woy you'll know that only the very last carriage fits the platform at Wondabyne station, This is exactly like real life. :steamhappy:

For sure, they were all built in the early 80s, in-game they all look pretty brand-new without all the grime and fading lol. Enjoy!
Klopfer 30 Aug, 2018 @ 6:42am
no problem they will still be my city trains^^
in the reallife picture the train looks really old.... ingame they look a little industrial-future-style or post apocalyptic future like fallout
i like that style^^

Having said that if anyone wants to use modtools to dump the asset files and reskin it you have my blessing :)
Robert  [author] 30 Aug, 2018 @ 6:11am
Thank you for the like :)
I'm mostly trying to be faithful to the trains, so I don't think I can do that for you, sorry. the charm of the K sets is being clunky tin cans - they are basically unpainted metal except those coloured spots.

the doors are line colored and the trains are grey-green right?
is it possible to swap this to color the trains?

if not..... the like is still safe :steamhappy:
