ANyone know if the latest hotfix broke the mod? I am getting tons of errors in the log when the server boots and the nanite factories arent working
Raven4K 21 Apr, 2019 @ 7:15am
why dose the use assemblers not work when you check the box on both the nanite factory and an assembler as I have it checked on a regular assembler not the basic or survival kit just the main assembler which can build everything is selected and check as it is in the factory settings and yet it dose not cue parts on that assembler is the problem going to be fixed?

Has anyone that participated in the last playtest had any issues with mods? I am an issue with saving, autosave, and the se process not closing after exiting the game. I had two factories and 1 miner going. Once I removed the Nanite Factory mod from my world things went back to normal. Symptoms in game are: Conveyors stop working (automatically) but still work manually to move items. Blocks may not disappear when grinded down (armor blocks for me), 'Error: Game already saving' occurs when manually saving and autosave stops working altogether (but may work initially for 2 or 3 autosaves), Save As still works, cannot properly exit to main menu (game freezes) and/or process does not close after exiting successfully and has to be force closed thru Task Manager. I think Keen screwed up my game with the version switching to playtest and back to 188.105.

Splen I just posted a crash log on github, it's the outside of array with particle effects cleanup, I was destroying a pirate grid and nanites were cleaning up the debris.
Splen  [author] 1 Jan, 2019 @ 7:29pm
@ThNghtBrngr can you post what's in your log after the crash? And no, they shouldn't be mining in spheres at all, as of yesterday afternoon. They should be surgically removing the ore now, if you have a filter and some scanning upgrades installed in the ore detector.
ThNghtBrngr 31 Dec, 2018 @ 5:17pm
No issues with mining so far, i am getting a crash when i run 3 factories disassembling a ship (full disassembely upgrades), is it intensional that the new nanites mine spheres instead of sections like it used to?
Splen  [author] 30 Dec, 2018 @ 8:42am
Thanks! Just pushed an update with a more complete version of mining. Should work much better now, and be far better for performance. Would appreciate some testing.
ThNghtBrngr 29 Dec, 2018 @ 4:50pm
i apopreciate the responce i was making sure you were aware of this particulr issue as i cound not find mension of it here or on the main development page. HAPPY NEW YEAR!! :)
Splen  [author] 28 Dec, 2018 @ 9:08pm
@ThNghtBrngr: Nope. I am just in the middle of testing some fixes to the performance issues of mining. This is a dev build: It's not meant for full functionality and will break here and there while I develop. When the full version is released, it will be posted on the original mod page.
ThNghtBrngr 27 Dec, 2018 @ 8:49pm
was playing with this the other night and the nanite ore detector would not finish scanning or would reset to 0 every few seconds, am i doing something incorrectly?

@splen I did, but I can’t scroll
Splen  [author] 17 Dec, 2018 @ 8:16am
@Jolly install a filter upgrade on the ore detector itself
2017 Ford Focus RS 2.3t 10 Dec, 2018 @ 1:12pm
Is there a way to tell the ore detector to only mine certain ores? i dont want it mining all of the stone on my planet

Hey Roy: This is a dev build. We will make an annoucement on the official version once V2 is ready. Use this one at your own risk till then. @Baughn I'm currently running this on the server mentioned above ([STC] Econ, Pirates++) and can't reproduce. I can't imagine what's causing your problems. Try joining the server and seeing if the issues persist. Add me here and message me sometime so we can test it together. If this is a true client-side issue I'm not aware of, I'd like to know what's causing it.
bersek 18 Nov, 2018 @ 2:42pm
Good evening I'm coming to you tonight because I saw that the mod nanite factory was updated very recently, but you do not have a conclusive result at the multiplayer level.
Baughn 18 Nov, 2018 @ 9:58am
It's in multiplayer; a dedicated server.
Splen  [author] 18 Nov, 2018 @ 8:19am
Hey Baughn. Was this in singeplayer or multiplayer? I'm investigating bugs right now. This is a development build and many things are being adjusted for better performance, so many old systems have to be overhauled.
Baughn 17 Nov, 2018 @ 4:08pm
What's the state of this? I tried (unsuccessfully) to play with it, but I don't know what's due to bugs / missing features and what's due to my mod setup.

Things I noticed:
- There are no nanite trails.
- There's no feedback. Well, the factory does change colors randomly, but there were no errors printed to its console. Or anything. That's the main reason I stopped; I couldn't tell if it was doing anything.
- The area beacon's area is centers on a corner of it, which isn't what I'd expected. It's also a huge region, with no way to control it. It seems to be pretending it's a projector; possibly the projector preview mod is interfering.

Just click on the github link in the description and check out the V2 branch to see the work being done! Tons of work done almost daily. This build is getting closer and closer to release.
Wictor_Little 10 Nov, 2018 @ 6:21pm
It looks like many people need this mod, me included and anyone that is working on it, is appretiated, i want to finish one game without it being killed my there makers, so thank you Splen!
Scooby Doo 5 Nov, 2018 @ 10:28am
Splen I can not play this game in survival without this mod. The idea of welding every block on a large Space Carrier......well the thought of that makes my brain hurt. So as long as the mod works or is being worked on I could not be more thankful. Though I honestly only use it for construction in survival when building. The other features are great but there are scripts to automate mining that are likely more efficent than this mod would be. Nothing else they make more sense.

I am sure many feel as I do Splen I hope you never feel as though the majority of the community are not appreciative. Not many likely follow these comments. I try to follow them and if I can help those in need to take that weight off of the modder. Small way of showing my gratitude as I could not begin to figure how to make a mod like this.
Splen  [author] 5 Nov, 2018 @ 9:54am
Since I've opened this mod, I've been added as an official contributor to the code and I'm helping lead the development on V2. @Dawg thanks for the support. I really love this mod and I'm just trying to get it to its full potential.
Scooby Doo 4 Nov, 2018 @ 5:08pm
Works fine for me but some people do not bother to read and can not appreciate anything. Not like you are paid to do this or force them to use it. Sad that people are so ignorant and unappreciative. Happy people like you are creating mods for people like me.
Splen  [author] 4 Nov, 2018 @ 3:52pm
@speedbiker1988 Mining is currently under development, and this mod has ALWAYS been a development build to use at your own risk it CLEARLY states in the description. If you want no problems, use the original. This version is currently a test build for VERSION 2 and is extremely experimental.
Flix1979 3 Nov, 2018 @ 6:02pm
+speedbiker use the original one, only problem currently with original one is it won't auto use the conveyor system, which means you just need to load it with the materials. Bellow is a link to the original mod author's version.

Can you please stop with broken data? Since the f***ing server changes, not a single nanite mod works more correctly in singleplayer. The probe in the middle has disappeared, mining is no longer supported. Leave a mod for the single player ...
Scooby Doo 19 Aug, 2018 @ 3:52pm
Ah so it does not sound like it will help me then. I am playing SP and trying to figure out just what keeps slowing the Sim Speed. PC is not being overworked checked that best part of 2 monitors. LOL. I have a lot of AI mods running but hate to think that is the issue. They are the only thing that makes this game playable. Feels like the Nanite are responsible for the issue but not sure. Started new game leaving them out until I get further along see if in fact I have the issue without the mod installed.
Splen  [author] 19 Aug, 2018 @ 3:45pm
@Dawg yeah use this one if you want better sim until Nukegard releases 2.0. It just puts all the currently active nanite factories in the server on a queue, making them work one at a time instead of all at once. Also fixes a bug where offline nanite factories were still scanning. I would have simply submitted this code to Nukegard as a pull request, but he specifically said he's not changing it since he's working on 2.0.

Also @SMooreAce the code is open source and on Github. Asshole.
Splen  [author] 19 Aug, 2018 @ 3:43pm
? I didn't steal anything. The only thing I changed was the time they take to run their scans. It kills Sim speed. Calm down.
Scooby Doo 19 Aug, 2018 @ 2:11pm
What you can not read? Tittle says it all. He edited the original so it is not stealing. I see nothing on the original that shows a license so there is no way to steal it.
Would be nice to know what he did edit as the original may be causeing tons of sim speed slow down.
SMooreAce 19 Aug, 2018 @ 2:05pm
Sooo.... you stole someone elses work? Good job looser!
