I've noticed that the Definitive Edition breaks this scenario in some ways like removing the Heavy Swordsman unit from the game files.

secondly i actually tested bridge foundations but sadly it doesnt actually work and im sad that placing a foundation bridge doesnt work so the bridge will have to appear, meh
i think it'd almost be cool if the bridge peices appear over a time like 20 seconds but thats just me
I am fairly certain that Pompey's legions do actually get that healing bonus in Illerda, though I suppose you might be asking me to increase that. As for the Pompeian archers, I'm not certain that we Pompey needs such a bonus, or whether that was a significant enough aspect of the battle to justify that. (I know we have added some things of ...dubious historical accuracy, but I still want things I add to have at least a glimmer of historical reference)
Thanks for your comment, I hope you get to see some of your suggestions added, and that you continue to enjoy the map!
Regardless of whether 4,5,6 are added i would like to see at least the first 3 since they are very simple to trigger
also, although it'd be a Nerf to Caesar ,with a little balancing and maybe a small reinforcement for Caesar when he takes Spain, it could be a way to add a bit more fun to the battles for illerda
I love this scenario, i think it is great so far but also has so much potential and i love what your doing it's a great scenario and i think it deserves a place up with the great aoe2 scenarios like game of thrones overhaul keeep working jwj5787_Rook and Darth_Nox
1) The shallows north of the main bridge in illerda be removed
2) If Caesar or Mark Antony goes to the area next to the river that divides Gaul and Caesar for 5 minutes wooden bridge appears in the northern area(you should probably put a rock either side of where the bridge will spawn so the Pompeian's do not try and stop it from spawning)
3) the city of illerda be put on a hill(defensive reasons)
4) the Pompeian legions getting an extra heal bonus in illerda(until it is claimed)
5) A spawn of Pompeian archers (whatever unit type u make that as but capped at 15-30 ) that stop when Caesar builds the wooden bridge into Spain
If you are wondering how I'll decide that they are "consistently too powerful" that will be decided by the number of people who tell me about it, and my own possibly biased experiences ingame. This scenario is still being worked on and feedback is both needed and appreciated. You should keep your tampon talk to yourself though.

The map is a little cramped, but is just something we are going to have to fix via iddy bitty tweaks here and there, assuming we can, in fact, fix it at all. Thanks for your comment!
