Hi, i have 1 question about map. For what u guys use env_wind on this map? Because i dont see any ropes (with wind checkbox) or plants/trees for using that parameter. Curtains is baked model.

your intel room's fireplaces don't set huntsman arrows on fire.

But seriously, let the fireplaces make arrows go on fire...

If you wanted it to be obvious it wouldn't, then put that black fireplace fence thing around it.

Spells make this map awful to play on and barely any pumpkin bombs for contracts.

Love the map but agree. The contract is PAIIIINNN.

Pumpkin bomb kill but very scarce.

Either put them a lot more or maybe change into something like

-pickup intelligence.
So people can just pickup drop pickup drop

Looking at the map in Hammer, there are two spawns in the lava room, but they start disabled. What this means in the grand scheme of Gmod I have no idea.

Are you getting the thing with dying in the lava too? I have no idea why that happens, there aren't even any spawn points in the lava area or any teleports in the main area, so the game is literally going outside its programming .

If it's just the cubemaps... Does "mat_specular 0" work in SFM?

PLEASE make an SFM version, I have been suffering on and off since it was added to the game trying to make the cubemaps big enough to not be a rainbow rave fest in SFM. All I'd need the mappers to do, is make the HDR cubemaps BIGGER than 64x64. There isn't a single other issue with the map, it's just impossible for me to brute force fix this with my limited knowledge :(.

I've been wanting a ctf_convoy-like to make it into the official maplist for ages now, and though I'm sad to see it go, I will definitely be looking forward to it coming back next year.

Best halloween map EVER!

I've played this map a few times, and whenever it goes to the overtime stalemate, it just looks like everyone is standing on an invisible floor, with lava underneath, and if I walk then I just die. I see others jumping around and not dying, so I think maybe the textures for some kind of platforms or floor aren't loading for me. Anyone know how to fix this so I can see what I'm standing on?

This is straight-up the coolest map in the game. I never comment on maps but I had to find this just to say what a cool god damn map it is. I thought I was loading into a payload race map based on the preview but I was in absolute awe when I actually loaded in and realized we were IN the trains, I spent most of my first match just wandering around looking at everything and sitting with friendlies on both teams at the front of the train just, admiring the scenery. This is Valve levels of quality, it reminds me of how much fun I had when Carnival of Carnage first released. And adding a round timer is the cherry on top, I hate maps that can go on indefinitely. I'm still starstruck by it. I can't believe it took four years for this to finally be accepted but I am so so glad it was, it is absolutely awesome. Made me feel true wonder and amazement :) Absolutely fantastic

i saw this map years ago in like a funke video or something and it's always been in the back of my mind since because i couldn't even really comprehend it and now that it's in i have to say that it's the best map i've ever seen or played in this game i'm so glad it finally made it

So happy this got in, I was looking at it before scream fortress and didn't think it would get in because it was too old. This is one of my favorite maps in the entire game. It plays meh but the visuals are amazing. I wish it had no time limit so I could enjoy this map more, it's like 2fort but the scenery never gets boring. Lots of love to the devs!

literally after every game people only vote for this map, and occasionally i just see people staring into the skybox during the swirl, its very authentic, epic and beautiful, almost as good as 2fort itself

Bloody fantastic, absolutely perfect, I never commented on a map before, I never even bought a map stamp, but I just had to show up and congratulate this concept and execution, I went in expecting a type of convoy_event and I stayed for the quality and aesthetics, the attention to detail and the much better map layout, made it to my favorite map on this game.
Congratulations to the team for this good work!

@Zooloo Hi there, glad you enjoy our map! Helltrain is standard CTF (so with cap limits) with an extra tiebreaker timer to avoid hour long rounds indeed.

Quick question for the authors: is it supposed to have a cap limit AND a time limit or ONLY a time limit? If it should be time limit only, then the TF2 devs need to fix the default settings for the map.

This map is so good that my partner, who hates CTF, wants to play CTF.
