I don't actually see it mentioned anywhere where it disables building each other, so it might be somewhere deeper in the files we can't access.
But you should be able to put
$Enableunittype("Dwarven_Settlement");
$enableunittype("Elven_bungalow");
in some function somewhere to manually hack-ily turn them back on.

It would be nice is healers were less eager to try defending the palace and their home with their knives instead of healing the heroes and guards defending those buildings

It's for sure not working with Majestic Majesty, that mod has a ton of sweeping changes. It works with some mods that don't change a bunch, and has less bugs if you activate this one last on the list.

I love what you did here but jesus is it easy now :D
I can pump out hundreds of heroes for very little cost, economy is amazing, heroes don't derp around like idiots, after learning the game for so many years and trying to figure out every intricacy and getting every little advantage, clearing every quest faster and faster to the point I don't need to save and load almost ever... this mod is basically god mode :D
Very fun, very nice, lots of good ideas. Wonder if there is a way to have this while keeping the difficulty still fairly high.

I think maybe the costs of things have gone down a bit too much? Every guild doesn't rise in price by 100% like per base game, but it's more like 50%, then the lvl ups give you extra heroes. It is quite fast to get to a full economy and full army.

Very good work overall I am very impressed, this must have been very hard to put together, I can only imagine!

Still the best mod for me. Only little problem with smoothly increasing the difficulty level between playing freestyle maps at medium and the highest level. The Evolving lairs mod adds an interesting feature of evolving creatures that leave their nests after several days of gameplay. I'm trying to combine these two mods, but I'm not sure if they don't spoil each other a bit.

I didn't change a couple of those things tho lol, like Wizard tower range or healer follow/range. I think I made most of the guild spells cheaper, too, not nerfed (other than blessing being 100g>200g and all healing to 300g instead of 200g and 400g).

Not exactly a perfect mod, but it's far less imperfect than the base game, so I'll highly recommend it. In particular, while I liked the buff to non-Wizard damage spells - even if the incredible nerf to wizard's tower range seems mildly excessive - the nerfs to hero buff spells felt like they went against the spirit of the game. Smaller benefits over a larger period of time that we don't have as much control over versus instant "kill this horde," y'know?

Despite the above, there are so many little benefits that they far outweigh the downsides. Palace and town guards no longer being glorified Broken Sewer Main generators was one notable and noticeable perk. Another, the increased follow and casting(?) range of healers. Level-ups of guilds coming with +1 hero capacity. Heck, even just the "heroes use their damn potions" perk gives this mod my vote. Thank you for making this for us!

If can be possible to merge or make it compatible with mod Evolving Lairs it can make best game version with possibility regulation difficulty level. Maybe the order in which the mods are launched matters, but I don't know which one should be activated first to make it better.

I'll give Urban Renewal a look. I changed something relating to how it checks for multiple players, so it might've broken something.

Also, I didn't beat Legendary Heroes, but someone beat it on a stream one time. I don't know if I have the patience to grind that one lol. I made it slightly easier, but it's the hardest quest in the game for a reason.

Urban Renewal seems impossible in the current build :/ half the time an army of rats never stops spawning if there is a broken sewer main. I think the game sees the enemy faction's rogue / elf / peasants and cranks up monster spawns in response thinking they are the players'. Also, the spawns in general (for the enemy faction) are pretty insane on that one. Legendary Heroes is also quite hard but I think that one is doable (I see you saying you've beaten it in this build, so that's my current mission!)

Also, I've been playing this mod off and on for years now so thank you for your work! I beat the map using this mod at least twice before the most recent update, so you've given me so much entertainment!

It was doable before with some early gnomes and spamming recruiting + rage of krolm. It was a bit silly, though.
I added a couple extra barbarian boyz on spawn and it should be a little easier to hold that initial wave off.

Hi, just wanted to say that I am using your mod for the first time and doing another playthrough of Majesty Gold. But unfortunately, I am stuck on Brashnard's Ultimate Sphere of Power. I tried this mission several times but I always get swarmed by Rust Spitters pretty much immediately. At most, I can spit out two barbs and hit Rage of Krolm once before they destroy my base. Without the mod, you have a small but sufficient window to settle yourself and prepare a little bit. I wouldn't mind making this mission harder, but as of now it is not doable

Legendary Heroes is kinda fucked in the base game anyways. I added in a handful of things to make it more doable, including +5 days. I know it's beatable, but it's a mess.

Elves were good. In fact, I _almost_ win that time - with lots of necro-women, but lost because of time limit. Tried to counter them too long with my poor rangers...
I have played "The Fertile Grounds" and... that quest where you must destroy "ring building". They both were nice. Almost on edge.

Houses also give a bunch of money, especially since there's a lot more than the base game. They're probably the main reason Extort is so effective. Overall, money might be too crazy when the base is big and booming, but it doesn't matter as much for balance then as when bases are small and the map is scary.

I might turn down the enemy elf respawn rate on that level. It's not unbeatable or anything, but there's comical amounts of em.

The market distance is a little larger (and should be the same as trading posts), just to make you have to spawl the base a little more. On the base game, you can practically put them on other sides of the palace and have it all easy to defend. Outposts are little further too, more Outpost-y.

I bumped up how much Trading Post caravan gold scales, too, since so many new players to the game use them for money (not knowing how powerful spamming marketplaces is). I might as well make them work like people think they should, I figure.

It's funni mod.
Just launched quest where you need to repay 50k/destroy elves, and enjoyed swarm of ~25 elves sweeping my base :D
Base grows very quickly and also become uncontrollable quickly too: platoons of rats mowing through crowds of peasants. Tax collectors quickly become obsolete - have to use good ol' thugs.
When you upgrade temple - it allows you to additionaly hire +1 hero in this temple. Very liked that, it motivates to upgrade, especially if you have several temples of one type.
Might be wrong... but I think, distance between markets now is bigger, but market-tradepost is lesser.
Will definitely play it more. Love the degree of chaos.

It wouldn't be that impossible to do as long as I confined the changes to only a couple changes, like the rate of monster spawns over time. I think there might be a way to do it within the mod, like how Majestic Majesty had interactive signs. I never understood how they did that, but I'll try to figure it out.

I have a thought that the mod would be perfect if it had several of the same mods with different degrees of difficulty. For example: New Game+ level 1, New Game+ level 2, New Game+ level 3, New Game+ level 4 and New Game+ level 5. Then each player would find the optimal difficulty level for his game. Only for freestyle games ofcourse.
I imagine the current difficulty level as level 2 or level 3. The level that was on March 3, I would see as level 4. If someone wants to choose a map from the random beginner level, they would take level 5 for a more interesting game.
If it is not possible to put several versions of a mod into one, you can do them as separate ones.
Whatever you decide, thank you for what already is. I have over 250 hours of playing Majesty and most of it is in your New Game+ mod. Thank you.

After longer tests, I can say that winning on a random expert is still very difficult and basically impossible, unless you draw a map with positive events such as veteran heroes, treasures, reinforcements. I play on manual settings where I set a large map from the expert level (enemy forces), starting buildings as a castle + market, veteran heroes and 30k gold. Then it gets a good difficulty level for me. The game is long, epic hard, and fun when you finally win. I usually lose 50-70 champions in each game like this before I make it, sometimes I lose. But at the random advanced level it is clearly easier now, out of 3 games I won 3. I writing as not much skilled computer player. This opinion is certainly subjective, other players may assess the difficulty levels differently because they may be better.

After losing three games quickly, I wrote a regretful comment here, but it has already been deleted. I don't know how it happened, but after the break I played again and it's completely different, it's actually easier. I like that version. I will play more because it is still unknown how much randomness regulates it.
The balance of units and buildings you made is in my opinion the best possible to meet in mods. Much better than the pure original game.

Interesting, is the mod updated in the date as of a couple days ago. I saw for someone else who was playing it that Steam never sent an update over. They unsubscribed then resubscribed and did an expert random and it wasn't too bad.

Next game on advanced level i win after few hours and lost 70 heroes. It was very hard game, i reach 3:3 (50% win ratio is acceptable to good fun) on advance and its maximum posible playable level for me. Expert remain impossible.
I can be weak player. let more people test it. For me on your mod expert random game is almost imposible to win. There must be lucky lottery in two additional events like experienced heroes and ist mybe only chance, but generally playing on expert is actual waste of time for me. Game must be pleasure, so i must stay on advanced level in freestyle games. I usually playing only freestyle random games.
Your mod is stil very good. for advanced level. Beginner is too easy, expert is ipossible to win.
Game can be more interesting if in advanced difficulty level we will have any chance meet sometimes few monsters from stronget expert level (but not so many like weaker monsters). Such a small chance would increase the surprise value in freestyle games.
