I'm even more surprised it's apparently still working somewhat. I guess that modcaller function I have no memory of is still doing its job.
I'd recommend just using the server option to adjust crafting costs instead of this old mod. And finding a mod to make thick leather, if any exist. Could also open the files in the editor and update the mod to the current game version to resolve any conflicts and further adjust what you want, but I'm not sure if we still have to download that insanely huge devkit.
Either way, I completely forgot how to make mods for this game. :)
Thanks for the response and the incredibly useful mod. Makes single player much more bearable.
The only thing I noticed is that crafting exp was either removed or severely reduced from most items in the game (like greater wheel of pain gave 132k exp, now gives 0). I don't know if this is some global change with an update or a re-balance or a bug, but I've left the crafting exp on the items as it doesn't make sense for them to not have any.
Going to recompile with the latest editor version and upload it for completeness, but there's no further changes.
Not worth looking into. If anyone else gets the issue, just know that it seems to solve itself pretty quickly.
Thanks again for the mod!
Neither my friend or I have played this game in months, and it's doubtful we'll ever go back unless there's some drastic improvements with updates.. just a real shame how the game's state was/is.
It's why I'm a bit baffled when I see posts asking for it. :)
And they're under the 'building' section, implying it's just the building itself.
Any item changes would be listed in their respective section, as I strive to provide documentation of all changes I make.
Also finally renamed it to "Sensible" both on the workshop and ingame. Better name, no more confusion!
As I put the game on hold, I haven't gotten to higher tier recipes to experience what they're like ingame. I didn't want to blanket change things.
I can halve it now though, as skinning knives are physically a lot smaller and should've been half the price by default.
Suppose I can just temp rename it back until I actually push out an update..
Created some confusion when a friend was seeking to join my map, and trying to find it.
We have no motivation to play when even the basic combat is so poorly designed and bugs are absolutely rampant across every aspect of the game. This opinion is shared by a lot of people over in the official forum [forums.funcom.com]. They should not have left right after releasing a giant bug ridden patch, wholly irresponsible.
Feel free to leave feedback though, I can still adjust things in the editor despite not playing. I wanted to look at reducing religious altar costs, but the "cheap building parts" mod covers a bunch of the stuff I haven't, and I recommend using our mods together for the time being.
You saved me poking my fingers into dirty dirty code and allowed me and my friends to just play!
:D
