[Deprecated] Sensible Crafting Costs

Description
UPDATE: The crafting cost multiplier option has finally been fixed as of the Sunken City patch[forums.funcom.com] on May 8th. This mod should no longer be needed.

At least, I assume it's fixed. I haven't played the game in nearly a full year.

Mod should still be fully usable to my knowledge, but as of now I've uninstalled the 200GB development kit, because I desperately needed the space for other things.

----

The costs of crafting things, notably buildings, are absolutely ludicrous if you're playing solo or with a friend on a private server with normal rates.

The CraftingCostMultiplier server setting stopped working over a year ago.
(bug report[forums.funcom.com])

Because of this, I was forced to make a mod that does this as a workaround. There are a few other mods that do this, but they're either outdated or don't change everything I see as a problem (see list below).

This mod aims to reduce the cost of crafting buildings (mainly workstations) and 'weapons'/armor while also improving crafting ratios of various materials. Building costs were mostly halved, other ratios listed below.

Current list:

- Buildings -

Furnace (all)
Wheel of Pain (all)
Wooden Box
Armorer's Bench (all)
Carpenter's Bench
Blacksmith's Bench (all)
Tannery (all)
Water Well
Sandstone and Stonebrick foundations (base, wedge, fence).

- Materials-

Leather 2 -> 1. (from 3 -> 1)
Steel bar 4 -> 2. (from 5 -> 1)
Shaped Wood 5 -> 1 (from 10 -> 1), also produces 1 bark.
Brick output 2 (instead of 1).
Dragonpowder output 2 (instead of 1).

New Recipe: Thick Leather. Created at Armorer's Bench. 5 leather + 2 tar = 1 thick leather. Learned with Apprentice Armorsmith (as to not introduce it too early, may change on feedback).

- Weapons -

Flinthead Arrows - 10 stone -> 5.
All Skinning Knives from 20 -> 10 main material.
All Sickles from 20 -> 15 main material.
Stone Cleaver - 10 -> 20 stone.

Re-enabled "Apprentice Butcher" feat: This allows crafting the Stone Skinning Knife and Stone Cleaver which makes the early game easier. Funcom presumably disabled this due to balancing reasons.

- Armor -

Light Helmet Padding - Hide 10 -> 6
Light Chest Padding - Hide 20 -> 10
Light Gloves Lining - Hide 10 -> 5. (gloves/boots parts halved since 2 are required to make a pair)
Light Leggings Lining - Hide 16 -> 10
Light Boots Lining - Hide 10 -> 5
Light Turban - Hide 10 -> 8
Light Chestpiece - Hide 20 -> 12
Light Wrap - Hide 16 -> 12
Medium Chest Padding - Leather 8 -> 6, Twine 5 -> 4
Medium Legging Lining - Leather 6 -> 8, Twine 4 -> 5. (leggings much bigger than chest, made no sense chest cost more)
Medium Cap - Iron 8 -> 5
Medium Harness - Iron 15 -> 6
Medium Gauntlets - Iron 8 -> 6
Medium Tasset - Iron 12 -> 8, Leather 6 -> 10. (same as above)
Medium Boots - Iron 8 -> 6
Heavy Helmet Padding - Thick Leather 18 -> 16
Heavy Chest Padding - Thick Leather 35 -> 27
Heavy Gauntlet Lining - Thick Leather 18 -> 9
Heavy Leggings Lining - Thick Leather 27 -> 24
Heavy Boot Lining - Thick Leather 18 -> 9
Heavy Helmet - Iron 15 -> 12. Renamed description to iron.
Heavy Pauldron - Iron 30 -> 24
Heavy Gauntlets - Iron 15 -> 14. Renamed description to iron.
Heavy Tasset - Iron 24 -> 20. Renamed description to iron.
Heavy Sabatons - Iron 15 -> 14. Renamed description to iron.

WIP: I'll be adding more to this as I progress through the game and find asinine requirements/ratios.

Have not touched quality crafted items, as by the time you can make those you should be able to cover the costs, though I may still reduce them when I find the proper thralls..

Technical details: Uses ModController to have its own recipe and feat override table which gets merged into the base ones at runtime, avoiding direct edits to source files. Should be compatible with other mods that edit the same tables in the same way, if documentation is accurate. Mods loaded last have the final say. My ID for Thick Leather recipe is 125111. Can be added/removed from save at will.

These are some of the other mods that changed costs (most outdated):

Note: This is my first mod in Unreal Engine 4. I can't say for sure I'm doing things right and without mistakes, but I'll learn more as time goes on. I've only created 3 new files (a blueprint to use the modcaller function which merges datatables, and 2 data tables) and haven't touched any of the base files, so I think my mod should be safe..

haha, ya it works fine tbh just a few things are old style, but it was the only mod I could find that made Leather into Thick Leather. but it a good mod still

I'm surprised someone installed a deprecated mod which hasn't been updated in 4 years.

I'm even more surprised it's apparently still working somewhat. I guess that modcaller function I have no memory of is still doing its job.

I'd recommend just using the server option to adjust crafting costs instead of this old mod. And finding a mod to make thick leather, if any exist. Could also open the files in the editor and update the mod to the current game version to resolve any conflicts and further adjust what you want, but I'm not sure if we still have to download that insanely huge devkit.

Either way, I completely forgot how to make mods for this game. :)

Also noticed I need the old style of leather crafting item to make the low armor sets, its like light padding now

Great mod mainly the Craft Thick leather, not sure if it's this mod a conflict, but I noticed my crafting stations and some building blocks are built in my inventory now ? also did you add a Feather to flint arrows? Love the Mod Thank you for your hard work

The crafting cost multiplier in the game is a joke. I don't like wasting my time breaking boulders @TrpleKingX ... Candy Crush is more exciting than building in Conan.

League of Legends?

LoL this mod is ussles... You have option when you play solo crafting cost multiplayer..

Thank GOD someone with skills noticed. They shouldn't even have a solo setting without something like thus. I might be bothered to go past insulated wood. :)

Do I need to start a new save for the changes to take effect? I have this mod loaded at the top of the order (I think at least)

Works pretty cool. Thank you!
