on each of music man's feet, select them, then in the animation set editor right click on the bone selected, go to "DAG utilities menu" and select "Create_ik_constraint".
That leg should now be rigged like a normal ik rig, just do the same process for all 6 of his feet, and then his legs should stay still while moving the spine.
Idk if anyone needed this advice, but it can't hurt to leave this here just in case! Happy animating!
