Mod seems very polluted. It breaks the game if loaded after essentials.
It kind of works if loaded first (bottom of the list), so essentials can fix the inventory glitch, you will get 10 and 2 but for fame only 1 from wheat I have noticed.
Don't know why there are files in this mod that break players inventory layout!

Works fine, but it would be very cool if you could change the skillpoint per fame level to 5 so you would have enought skillpoints to max every skill.
(I made a mod by myself but I would have a question to you, would be nice if I could contact you somehow)

The game says this is outdated, does it still work?
SoundSypher 17 Jan, 2014 @ 4:20pm
when i loaded the game up with it, it prevented me from having items show on the character. was trying different addons that i had (no more than 8 right now) and one by one turning them off. this was the one that it was thou. i like the thought of the addon but i dont know why its preventing me from actually killing things w/o hand to hand combat.

Does this mod give you points for levels before it was installed?
Balgus 16 Jan, 2014 @ 5:31pm

"compiled for outdated game version" what does this mean?
Sol 12 Dec, 2013 @ 4:09am
I personally am on the other side of the fence than obudiah.

I don't wanna have to play through the game 10000 times to "experience everything", so having more skills and perks is a good thing. Combined with General Passives, I feel like I have the "right number" of gains per level.

Different strokes for different folks.

think you might need to update my friened my mod loader tells me its Compiled for outdated Game Versions

Note:
That does not take into account modded classes that add extra skills per page (I've seen some with the whole page full, so 36 skills total). It also doesn't take into account things like the General Passives, which adds a page with 12 skills that are all about adding base stats to the character. Lots of ways to spend points and play in harder difficulties like the Apocalypse mod (easiest settings on that mod is like Elite in normal).
Kaisoku 30 Aug, 2013 @ 7:18am
@obudiah
Standard character classes have 3 skill windows, each have 3 passives and 7 actives. That's 10 skills per windows, 30 skills total. Max ranks in skills are 15.
Maxing everything on a character would take 450 skillpoints.

Normal game gives 100 character levels and 33 Fame levels. This is 133 skillpoints. You can only max almost 9 skills with that, not quite a whole windows of skills.

This mod gives 200 character level skillpoints and 99 fame skillpoints. That's 299 skillpoints total. You can max almost 20 skills with that, almost two windows. Still not all of them.

Download timed out. It won't download for me. Fix?:)
obudiah 26 Jul, 2013 @ 5:34pm
okay i got 150 for a standard character is whats requiered to max everything n from what i can tell your gettin well over 200 if not over three with this mod so imma give it a go n see how everything works out
obudiah 26 Jul, 2013 @ 5:22pm
ive looked through the previous comments to find out as much as i could before subscribing...just started playin tl2 not too long ago (as in a few days ago more or less) n i just came to the realisation that ill be unable to max out all my skills by the time max lvl hits...so im sure you can already guess what im about to ask being will the be an end result if i use this mod from start to finish?...im only but so far into the game on my modded character and i wouldnt mind restarting if it means that ill be able to get to that point by the time i finish with it...imma try doin the math myself but i wouldnt mind another brain on the issue just to make sure that my answer comes out right
[KDIS] Neros 23 Jul, 2013 @ 4:12pm
also make one with just skills if you can!!
pöök 20 Jul, 2013 @ 3:37am
Do you think you could make a version that gives double skill points but not stats?
[KDIS] Neros 19 Jul, 2013 @ 3:50pm
If I were to disable this mod, would it just delete the skills from the mod (the extra 5, and 1 skill point)? or does it do something else? just curious is all, its badass regardless
KylePanda 1 Jul, 2013 @ 10:38pm
it's for whent update 1.25.5.2

ShadowedDreamer:
Yeah this type of mod is incredibly easy to do. The whole reason I made it was my pre-GUTS mods would not work. Keep plugging away at GUTS, the more people we have working on it the more we will figure out and the better for all of us.
Cheers.
ShadowedDreamer 12 Apr, 2013 @ 4:46pm
I have recently made a compilation of this mod and a respec mod just to see if i could learn how to do so. I think it worked out :)

ShadowedDreamer: Glad you like it!

Balino:
I have created a new mod that gives you 10 stat points at level up and NO ADDITIONAL skill points when you level/get enough fame. It is called Just Stats and it should help make the game a bit more balanced. Hope this helps.
Cheers
Bonzo 9 Apr, 2013 @ 7:15am
Can u pls make a Version with 7 stats point per level up (no skill points changed) cause i was used to that way before GUTS and 10 stats point make my elite playthrough too ez :)
BadMrFrosty  [author] 7 Apr, 2013 @ 12:02pm
Master Lu:
I was looking for this mod as well, since GUTS came out none of them worked. So I figured I'd download the editor, read the wiki and try it. It's actually very very VERY easy to mod this type of thing. If anyone is interested go to Library, Tools, then Torchlight GUTS and install it and you are set.

The more peeps we have working on it the more we can learn about the sytem.
Cheers

I had a pre guts mod like this, its a good idea. They generally skimp you on stats early in the game. Its nice not being totally bound to leveling to increase your stats.

@BurningLegion:
Yup fame gives you three skillpoints, I updated the description because I kinda like it. Makes FAME actually something I look forward to earning. Thanks for the heads up!
BadMrFrosty  [author] 5 Apr, 2013 @ 11:12am
@BurningLegion:
That's odd, I originally had FAME set to three points but I was sure I reduced it to two. And I was sure I was only getting two from fame as well when I played... I will do some more testing.
BTW, I'm glad your name is Legion and not Lesion [shivers] did a double take for a second.
Fitzy 5 Apr, 2013 @ 7:29am
Mod works well but i have noticed when u go up a fame lvl get 3 points not 2 i dont it this was intended but thought i might let u know
GIGAMONK 5 Apr, 2013 @ 4:36am
not bad for casual players. pretty fun to have 2x skill points :)
BadMrFrosty  [author] 4 Apr, 2013 @ 9:18pm
"Does this give you points for past levels?"

It does not, this is a simple one to use for starting players. If you want to use it with an existing player, I suggest you download a leveling mod to boost your level past 100. In this way you can take full advantage of the additional levels. Also, if there is interest I can increase the skill points and stats points if needed...however I feel two is just close enough to the line of being too OP, and 10 stat points is right at the line as well.

Also, this works great with Synergy and should not conflict with any other type of mod. It will also work with modded characters as well (i.e. Necro, Paladin, etc.).
