Hello, does that mean when I shackle someone it will say on the npc "Slave of (Player)"?

@the wanted - That is true. The game does not allow editing of the scripts. If you guys read in the previous comments, I have covered this topic related to the limitations due to how the FCS works. Hopefully Kenshy 2 will be made in a more developer friendly engine.

You can remove the script safely, it only alter the default behaviour of the first squad, or you can just leave that squad empty. Note that if you delete that squad, you can't reintroduce it back in the, expect by editing squad behaviour in the FCS.
And as for the scripts, I don't know, but I think that;s near impossible due to the limitations of the engine itself. Hope this helps. Maybe the author knows more

I wanted this mod to work so badly. It does what it's supposed to, but I wish I could control when/if my squad would go a-slavin'. I don't want them running off to do stuff when I'm not in a slavin' mood.

But especially I don't want them to be healing every baddie in the area, or running all the way back to town to mend a random slave I've laid in a bed to heal.

Would there have been a way to tie the slavin' script to a toggle-able AI behavior? Either the 'Rescue' job at the bottom right, or one of the check boxes in the Squad > AI menu?

Is there a way to safely remove this mod from a playthrough?

nah. I am. o modder my self. The max I could do, was edit the squadAi and slave number onto other squads.
But this mod does work well with ayer slavery, although the slave output is quite low and inefficient. But you can at least roleplay though, with working slavery mechanics. Still great work with this mod :) I’ll say it again good job with the AI package :)

@the wanted well you could try to revamp this mod with those scripts if you can find a compatible way. i do not mind sharing my code with other mod enthusiasts ^_^

Sadly, the coding part is pretty limited on the FCS and it does not seem I can make anything more for this old mod. Feel free to update me if you have succeeded in anything cool!

This mod works perfectly, the enslavement part that is. Also I’ve found out that, to add the this function to any squad that you want simply edit their squadid and the slave number in the FCS( for the save file I mean, you can get those numbers from another save where it works, or start a new game with the edited starts, there it works perfectly)
Now if only we could get those slaves to work, as slaves I mean, and not as faction members, that’d be great :)
But I have no idea how to do this ?
Maybe you could “borrow” some of the scrips from Player slavery, or Paradise Falls , but then again I have no idea how “legal/ethical” that is xD

@LazerGuana unfortunately I can't update anything further to this mod, because this uses the same scripts the NPC slavers use. That being said, there is no way to actually edit the script itself as FCS only allows me to attached predefined script libraries that are encrypted. Hence the issues you are talking about are the game engine's fault and the way the scripts operate.

Yes, I totally agree that the scripting should be improved, but I have no means to do it. The modding on this game is very restrictive, hence why you do not see music mods, or other crazy scripted mods out there.

Any updates coming to this mod? I did a fogland cult playthrough and it worked wonders. However it got kind of annoying when I could make slaving a job and sometimes the script stopped working when I had to import.

Others I would give this mod at least a 7.5-8/10. I'd even donate if you kept working on the quality control.

That stupid auto-capture broke all battle. You mans will pick up by non stop. Clicking to distant way not help. They just come back after they reach waypoint for retrain and pick up enemy. And you caan't put dow it, they instanly pick up again it. For now i unsubcribe on that mod because it's not ready for public.

I'm very thankful for this mod since I wanted to quickly grow my faction rapidly and have huge battles, but unfortunately I had to uninstall this since I've almost reached to the 256 limit (I've got 200 people already, all mine because of this mod) and my main squad keeps on restraining other factions I've no quarrels with at the moment. However, if I get my hands on those unique and hard to beat characters like Bugmaster, Cat-Lon, etc., I'll reinstall this and turn them as my slaves so I can recruit them and make them fight for me.

Also, if you're going to do what I did to rapidly increase your numbers, install this mod and combine it with Player's Slavery, that way you can make them obey you immediately and make them join your faction. No need to craft rings, just this mod's auto-restrain and the obedience option for the other mod for the slaves and you're all set.

Could u give some video to learn how to modify the behavior? i wanna try to fix the automatic store weapon loote from enemys and fix the throw intruder from the base ( or if u have the name of some mods that make what i said :,v)

jackloballer yes, you can have multiple squads, just that the AI package is only set on the default one because the game does not know how to set it up on new squads you name yourself!

jackloballer yup, but this only applies to the (default) squad you initially start the game in vanilla. If you changed the squad the AI package will not apply.

jackloballer try to start the mod without any other mods first. See how that woks to check if there are any conflicts with any other mods from your list. Also in your mod list this should be set up last. The scripts are meant for AI, so there is little to no control over the slaving behavior. The moment an enemy is down, your guys will capture them automatically. You can try Paradise Falls, maybe that mod works better than mine. Also try a new game with this mod, maybe there is a squad conflict somewhere.

Lt. Don Draper if you are going to write scripts from scratch, I do suggest you talk with the devs to get some guide lines and their consent of course :) There is also a mod community on Discord, you should look for it on kenshi's forum.

Lt. Don Draper I did not program the scripts. FCS only allows you to add existing script packages to various groups of NPCs. I really don't know if you can alter the scripts of the game, plus the game updates regularly so the files you alter will most likely be replaced. Maybe create new scripts from scratch and add them in FCS somehow, but that is beyond my skill knowledge.

Hmm. I read the comments, it auto-enslaves. I might want to make a mod which allows me to do what you did here, but with slaver as a job, or to make people slaves if you shackle them. How hard would this be? I've never modded before. I'm a competent programmer.

I have it and it doesn't seem to do anything. Do I need to enable something? Downed tons of people and no option to enslave anyone.

Solstice_The_Tech_Marine to be honest, the devs don't want to implement this features in the game, so the scripts that are at work in this mod are actually intended for the AI not for your characters. It's really out of anyone's hand's to mod something better with just the developer kit tools.

I want to keep using this mod. The issue that stops me from doing so is the inability to restrict who you auto enslave. This becomes an issue when major factions start going down near you and start cutting you into giblets when your squadies decide to enslave their buddies.

xToastygamingx Hi, yeah I won't be updating this for one particular reason: this was kind of an attempt to maddle with the slavers which is buggy as hell. Since this mod was created, there have been some majot updates that might have changed a few things (don't have the game installed atm) so this might not work as intended. Modding in this game is limmited to what the devs give access, so it's not like I changed the mechanics, I just changed the rules that they work around. If it stopped working, then it means that the mechanics are being redifined by the devs in which case you can wait for them to bring out the goodies :) Hope this answers your question.

There seems to be no "Pick up" option on slaves. Only when they are unconscious and when you sell them in that state the slavers attack you. for selling damaged goods. need a fix for this otherwise great mod

I hope this is a feature they will build in eventually. You're supposed to be able to be whatever you want in the game and slaver seems appropriate. It'd even be kind to kind to enslave those poor starving bandits keeping them from an early grave.

It does work... but way its implemented forces your char's to run and un'slave, no matter if they have a JOB or are at HOLD...so they end up jumping into them iddle of the fray and get killed.

I will look into this at some point, it would be good to link it as a JOB.

Killrassassin21 most likely not compatible.. I haven't updated it in a while as I do not play the game right now. Also the scripts of the game might have changed since this mod was posted!
