I love this mod because of what it does....should really been in vanilla game. However, I really have trouble keeping anyone working in it.....unless I manually assign them to work there--but, they'll go elsewhere if there are job openings. Not sure why this is happening in my playthrough's....probably something I'm doing wrong maybe. An upgrade to automate this with service bots or something would be fantastic.

"i believe the surviving mars developers forgot such an important recycling system " and yet they didnt forgot the religious propaganda with Family Values sponsor (vomit), the religious trait and the Church Ark spire that gives so much comfort for colonist that is almost cheating

Nice idea... no icon on build menu though I noticed? Started a new game with it.

This is a neat idea, I found it too powerful in my games though. More power consumption would improve its balance, I think and I'd love to see a version of this that was a wonder (and thus limited to only 1 per base, perhaps with the added benefit of a bigger comfort bonus - say +10) or was a spire (so limited to 1 per dome). 4 of these in all of a base's big domes makes a big difference to both resource output and to base morale.

Happy to see this mod is still going strong. Def gonna use it on my next game.

The model was pure white so i had to make some color settings. No changes to all the other settings. Leave a message when there are problems.

@Faucon Noir: ´havn't played Surviving Mars a while. I did not know that this became incompatible. Thanks for the message! I'll look into it but i have to setup this game again.

@Your Grandmother: yeah, i know and i already made a statement about that below. You are free to make your own version of this asset. You can rip all the settings from my mod and add a model you made with blender or a 3d-software you like.
Flocon Noir 17 Nov, 2018 @ 5:34am
Hi, can you update the mod please ?
I love to play with it and that's really cool ifit compatible with the new version of Surviving Mars
DevDokus 22 Jul, 2018 @ 1:52am
great mod but for the love everything
please stop using existing prefab buildings to
create a new building. Make something up
for yourself.

The mod becomes that much less interesting
if it's looks the same as the other buildings
also if its edited justa little bit

Is awesome! Thank you so much @Graslama

Great mod!

i had downloaded some blender templates but... i guess, most players who became mod makers wanted a fast solution for their ingame problem. in my case it was "forver young" tech. or search for blender models for free in the net. you´ll find sites where a model can cost 100 bucks 50 buks 900 bucks or it´s free and you have to sign a license where you make guarantees. i closed my browser after that. i have no time for that shit *g*
btw. Blender is free, you can download it right now here on steam and then please make a model ;)
Daniel 13 Apr, 2018 @ 4:45pm
Can some one please tell me why a lot of mods use the same model buildings in the game just different colors? Is it hard to make new models??

Oh ya see, a waste rock recycling plant is already made for the workshop. so i can not do this! :)

The skin of that building is already build in that mod editor. i have done seemingly nothing except choosing a template end edit the settings. it is so easy! *g* (whispering: a schoolboy can do it, dont tell ;))
The asset was in german before. i edited the name for the legibility for the non-germans. but yes, i´ll make all in english, gimmy some time *g*.
The idea with the water is good, washing old parts and disassemble, i´ll look into it. Water production ingame is 1 to 6, depending on the quality and building. Is 1-6 right or have some1 more water production per building? Maybe water consumption of 3 is a good value. late late late game you´ll need 2 or 3 moisture vapo´s for one recycling factory. i´ll think about it. and as i said folks you all can use this asset in your own mods or take the idea.
YujoKameida 13 Apr, 2018 @ 12:09am
not a bad building, quite useful ina small dome if you are low on colonists. in later game it will get over shadowed by the factories. I am impressed with it even the reskin of the parts factory was done well. May i suggest since youve written it in english and in german, a localisation part? since tool tip comes up in german but the name doesnt.
Cookie-chan 12 Apr, 2018 @ 7:58pm
I guess if you wanted to balance things out a bit, maybe increasing the water usage, to simulate the washing of the materials, high-pressure cutting hoses, etc.
MissedFrizzle 12 Apr, 2018 @ 7:34pm
Nice work, I hadn't thought about an indome version of recycling/waste.

I don't think you need to have a waste commodity, but some sort of global limitation based on the overall consumption of goods in the colony (the reycling plant would be taking leftover maintenance parts, sold electronics/polymers, etc) would be a neat idea to add at some point.
Travesty 12 Apr, 2018 @ 6:50pm
For those of you bitching about a Waste Rock Recycler, you need to learn to search the Workshop.

Quite literally what you're all screaming about.

This Asset is awesome, @Graslama.

Thank you.

Yaa, so what to do? :)
Implementing "real" waste would require a new producer-task in the game and other buildings had to produce this new waste. For the role play it must enough when we say, we are recycling old machine and electronic parts from the maintaining. That's because you get gold, metals and plastics back.
For me this building is doing a good job. i solved my employment issue because of that forever young tech. And honestly, this game needs more waste processing :)
So girls and guys, do what you want with it but don't debate over the settings, change them.
btw. Zefnoly made the point!
Waggy 12 Apr, 2018 @ 2:29pm
Cities:Skylines had some waste management. This is a good idea to fill up this void in the game. Requiring food or waste rock sounds like shit to me because then I'm not recycling from garbage but from "fresh" materials, I'd rather balance with electricity cost if necessary.
Shamrock2211 12 Apr, 2018 @ 2:07pm
Wait so you made a recycling plant that doesn't actually recycle waste rock, which is the only thing is this game people want to recycle...lol Alrighty then.
FilisTeo 12 Apr, 2018 @ 12:34pm
@Graslama maybe a good idea would be using waste rock and food as the recycled materials. Seems logical given the name (I know that waste rock is produced from extractors but what else can you use )
Zefnoly 12 Apr, 2018 @ 9:15am
Its funny to see two modders fight over a mod someone else made... In my opinion any mod is practically cheating as you are using "non official mods" some guy could just make a mod that adds a button that says "add this much in your storage" and boom you get it... Its players choise weither they want this or not. If people think its OP... just dont use it. If they think its good. Then use it.
Ǥɾᴧᴤʆᴧᵯᴧ  [author] 12 Apr, 2018 @ 8:01am
@ErrantSword: hm, overpowered, very ... ? ;) you need 11 workers für 1 gold 2 metals 3 polymeres, hm. in the game i can research a tech where mines working without geologists and with half of production. but, anyways, let´s just test this fucking building and if it seems overpowered for a game, nerf it down. the main goal of this asset was employment and late game resources.
i still have thoughts about consuming food for the production, good workers need good food but idk yet. for now it just needs a lil power of 8 *g*
Cookie-chan 12 Apr, 2018 @ 3:40am
Yes indeed Daxius, but remember, this is a game where basic water reclying is a danm spire, and not something that would probably be built into the dome itself.
Ǥɾᴧᴤʆᴧᵯᴧ  [author] 12 Apr, 2018 @ 2:55am
We still need a junk paper factory for toilet papers or the colonist would use their own clothes or a Xylospongium ;) - yes ofc, recycling on mars is everything *g* - imagine the junk hills become alive someday and weird creatures crawl out of a old mohole-mine :) maybe a El Chupanibre or a bone vampire!
Daxius 11 Apr, 2018 @ 8:47pm
llama face. you think this would have been a basic building in the game since resources would be scarce and your very sim existence depends upon it. gj !
Bulldog 11 Apr, 2018 @ 8:32pm
An excellent idea.
Ǥɾᴧᴤʆᴧᵯᴧ  [author] 11 Apr, 2018 @ 4:32am
i researched "forever young" tech and got problems with employment so i made this for me. Do what you want with this. modify it, put it in your own mod with more buildings... but shout out the name "Graslaamaaa" loud in the streets and make a short video from it we can see on YT ;p.

republishing this file without any changes is forbidden! You need to change something or you are just to dumb and a idiot! hrhr i write this because i can call these `republisher` dumb idiots then, legal :)
