Nope, that is not possible at the moment. The playlist in the wallpaper plays the song from the first track to the last and then repeats. There is no functionality in Wallpaper Engine that let´s the user choose the track.

Maybe that is possible with some scripting, but i´m not exactly sure because i´m no coder so i do not know exactly. I´ll have to try it out and see if it works. ^^

I´ve just added a few tunes because the old version did not have any music in it but i don´t exactly understand what you mean. What do you mean with your music does not play anymore? It´s an audio responsive wallpaper, just play your favorite music on your pc and the wallpaper will react to it, doesn´t matter where the music comes from. ^^

i like this but for some reason my favorite music just no longer plays anymore like as if you updated it, anyway you can give us choices of songs within the wallpaper settings

Not exactly memeworthy but rather the fact that i use image sequences a lot in my wallpapers. These have to be compiled into textures and then get looped constantly which puts a certain CPU / GPU load on your hardware to function properly. That´s the way Wallpaper Engine or any other 3D engine handles animated textures.

You can always go back to the old version, with the new image sequences disabled it should not put such a high load on your card and you could always unsubscribe of course.

I already got my personal shitstorm for this wallpaper so i stopped defending why i took the creative freedom and alter my work. New version, old version or unsubsribe, you can choose freely.

This has got to be the most memeworthy wallpaper I've ever seen. Your updated version somehow manages to make my gpu pull 120 watts lmfao. Any other wallpaper I've ever had pulls 1/3 off that at the most.

In the wallpaper bowser when you select the wallpaper you can see all the options available on the right side, just under the larger version of the preview pic in the upper right corner.

i pushed an update for the wallpaper to revert more stuff back to the original wallpaper if you disable the new version. Here´s an important hint when turning the new version off: i don´t know exactly why but if you start up the wallpaper with the old version selected somehow WE spits out one single wave of particles so you have to wait like 30-40 seconds until they reach their lifetime and then vanish. So don´t worry if that is looking a bit weird for the first seconds, please just wait until they are gone and you´re good to go.

Also the color changer is back in business. Just select a color using "Color Scheme" and adjust the opacity to your liking with the opacitiy slider and if you don´t like the huge stars above the planets that fly from left to right you can also disabling that unticking the "Stars 1" box.

Sorry for the confusion, when I switch the version, with the drop down menu, to old I still get the same "meteor like" particles that go towards the closest planet that are in the new. I prefer the ones that would fly along the side of the closest planet in the old version (I think there the same ones you mentioned as longer planet particles). If you can't I understand as I am definetely in the minority as far as wanting this, however, if there is anything you can do to make the "old version" basically the same as it was before the update, with the particles and all, that would be excellent.

@Bloated Hogus: now i´m a bit confused for i don´t know what meteor shower you mean? The particle systems are nearly the same as before. Do you mean the particles that fly through the scene from left to right? The ones that are a bit longer than the planet particles? If so i can change the setup so you can disable them. And btw: you can go back to nearly the old version, just klick on the drop down menu called "New Version" and choose "Off". You can find that in the settings for the wallpaper.

@Yu Ishigami: Thanks. When i find some time this week i will setup some more stuff to make the old version that you can choose even a bit more like the old one. Could not do it over the weekend because of easter stuff to do.

Do you still have the original one you can upload separately. I know you can turn the version back to old within Wallpaper Engine, but it still has the new meteor shower where I just prefer the particle effects. It fit my theme much better and although the new one looks great, I liked the old ones particle effects more (mainly just the absence of the media shower). If you could that would be much appreciated!

@butcho Thank you very much! I understand that this is all extra work and I do appreciate you one, coming back to something you did a very long time ago to improve it, and two, giving people an opt-out method if they preferred the old one. The latter can be very difficult to do depending on the project so thank you.

As a 3d modeler I can understand how you see your first creations lol. You've come a long way, that much is certain. The detail change between the planets is obvious. I believe that if you make as many aspects customizable you will give us the best of both worlds, quite literally hah. That way no one will be annoyed by any changes.

@Yu Ishigami: i put in more custom stuff like removing the colored particles and reduce some minor effects on the old version so that you get the look of the old version back even more. Could take some days but i will not forget about it. Stay tuned ^^

Did expect some kind of a shit storm because this wallpaper has a lot of subscribers but who knows, maybe some folks like the new version so i just jumped into cold water here to see what´s happening. ^^

The problem i have with a lot of my older stuff is that i just cannot stand to watch some of these creations because they are exactly like the ones i do not like nowadays: standard effects on a nice background. The Space Visualizer in its initial form was such a wallpaper. I created it back then when i did not know what i could achieve with the WE editor. When i skip my own creations in WE because i don´t like them anymore that´s the time to get creative.

But of course i´m open to suggestions to improve the wallpaper. Could take some days but i´m trying to put more customizations in it so everybody is happy in the end.

@butcho thanks. I don't know much about how this works but it sounds like quite a bit of work. Either way keep up the good work. This is one of the best wallpapers on here imo.

Would you be willing to upload the old version as a new wallpaper? I much preferred the old atmosphere of the near planet and some of the particle colors have changed to light green/pink.

Damn, forgot about the color change. Something went wrong because i changed some user properties. I´ll have a look into it

It apparently lost its ability to change color, and that sounds awful to me.

It would be neat if we could remove the new effects on the closer planet (look a bit cartoony) but keep the distant planet's new visuals as those are better. Also personal opinion, the closer planet in the new version is waay too lava.

Of course you red the description for the wallpaper update where you could find how to go back to the old version. In case you are a tl;dr guy i´ll sum it up for you: wallpaper settings --> New Version --> off

Hi, wenn ich etwas Zeit finde dann werde ich mal schauen ob ich ein paar Anpassungen einbauen kann so das auch ohne Musik etwas Bewegung reinkommt.

Bitte als NICHT AUDIO VISUALIZER. Mich stört es das sich nur was bewegt wenn musik läuft. Will das durchgehend laufen haben. habe dir eine anfrage geschickt, vllt kannst du noch eins als Non Audio hochladen

I´ll put in a customization so you can disable the audio responsive flicker in the back. Don´t know exactly when i find the time to do it but it should be done by no later then the next weekend. Stay tuned.

As a customisation, is there anyway to turn off the "background flicker" on audio responsive effects? The particles that appear look awesome, but the flicker is driving me mad and makes this beautiful background unusable for me with music on, unfortunately.

Mmmh...don´t know what may be the cause of this. Have you tried to delete the wallpaper and subscribe to it again? Maybe there are some files missing or damaged.

this is pretty sweet, but i find that the particles seem to stop? i have been unable to get them to move again, really weird...
