Maybe, but then I rather also not have to do that every time there's an update
Valyrian 10 Jun, 2018 @ 1:56pm
hey dont worry, hope you can get it settled soon. WHat if you try to upload it like a new mod instead of reuploading to this version?
(Mt.Militia)_EmperorOfTyranis  [author] 8 Jun, 2018 @ 7:54am
Simply "uploading" the mod doesn't work... it tells me that its supported version is "2.1.*", the star meaning compatible with every version of 2.1, yet after telling me that the upload went okay... it appears that the mod's STILL not compatible after I delete my own mod folder and then get the "same" mod folder everyone gets from just subscribing.... believe me guys, this is very, very frustrating for me too. Loading into my current save with the "current" vesion puts me suddenly at -900 minerals and -500 energy when using the version that seems to ONLY work for me puts me at about +400 energy and +800ish minerals. I would just like to apologize deeply to everyone that my mod is being such a fuss with me and all of you.

... okay, so launching the game and just doing that didn't work.... what the actual heck? WHY is it so damned difficult to just update my OWN mod WHEN IT CONSISTS OF 1 ACTUAL LINE OF CODE THAT SHOUDN'T BE INCOMPATIBLE WITH ANYTHING
(Mt.Militia)_EmperorOfTyranis  [author] 8 Jun, 2018 @ 7:36am
Ugh... I don't know why it's not doing anything to update. After deleting my own mod folder and then resubscribing to everything, I found that yeah, my mod was not updated to 2.1 I had thought my previous attempts at editing the mod file to support the next version worked, but apparently not. For now, until I can get this all figured about because the internet has been less than helpful, the solution is to navigate to your Documents folder, go to Paradox Interactive, go into the "mod" folder, and find "ugc_1330113521". Edit this with Notepad++ and change "supported_version="2.0.1"" to "supported_version="2.1.*" Imo it should be easy to update my OWN freaking mod but nothing of that sort is happening
PraetorNZ 8 Jun, 2018 @ 1:44am
can we get an update please
daimyo_willem 29 May, 2018 @ 3:46am
incompatible, makes the game freeze after start up screen
(Mt.Militia)_EmperorOfTyranis  [author] 22 May, 2018 @ 12:05pm
Should be updated now, made that one change I need to make for it to go "hey, I'm compatible here!" Should be all clear... hopefully it actually does, let me know if not
(Mt.Militia)_EmperorOfTyranis  [author] 22 May, 2018 @ 8:03am
I shall be updating this mod once I get home in about 3-4 hours. I would assume it's otherwise still compatible even of it has the "outdated" marking, as it's just a few lines of code that honestly should work with any version anyway.
captain_ventrus 2 May, 2018 @ 2:25pm
mine says not compatible with 2.4 is it not updated automaticly or my game just messed up :P and the vanilla values are insane and breaking my empire :(
(Mt.Militia)_EmperorOfTyranis  [author] 2 May, 2018 @ 12:18pm
@ southsideking3rdst - Won't work? Just not updated or are your upkeeps vanilla's insane values?
captain_ventrus 2 May, 2018 @ 11:59am
mine wont work any ideas what to do?
(Mt.Militia)_EmperorOfTyranis  [author] 27 Apr, 2018 @ 2:12pm
As of 5:11 US Eastern Time on April 27th of 2018, Reduced Ship Upkeeps should be updated for 2.0.4! If anyone finds that this is not the case, let me know immediately!
(Mt.Militia)_EmperorOfTyranis  [author] 15 Apr, 2018 @ 12:11pm
@IcyKnightmare - Oh I know! It's a significant breather for both player and AI, especially the AI as they struggle with managing any economy on their own. I personally don't play on the high difficulties mainly because I just like to play somewhat comfortably, I'm a turtler when it comes to empire-building if I have the ability to turtle. The game I had running in the pics above was running on Normal before the Difficulty changes, and there were a few empires managing to keep up with me even into the 2500's. I'm glad you're having fun with the mod!
IcyKnightmare 15 Apr, 2018 @ 2:39am
I'm 250 years into a game with this mod and found that lowering fleet upkeep dramatically increases the strength of the AI on Grand Admiral. As an example, the XT-489 exterminators control a third of the galaxy, have over a million fleet power, and are going around neutron purging worlds. They have +1.1k minerals too. When it turn this off and check again, they are -6.8k minerals and disband their fleets down to about 100k in about a month. It's a great way to make the game more challenging.

@Kamarok - I suppose that I will have to confer with the Mod Gods again to resolve this issue. Rather not it seem outdated when it really, really isn't
Kamarok 13 Apr, 2018 @ 11:07am
Mine also says it is not updated to 2.0.2 but it seems to be working fine. I haven't crashed yet.
(Mt.Militia)_EmperorOfTyranis  [author] 11 Apr, 2018 @ 1:34pm
@Hello There - Everything seems to be telling me that it's updated for 2.0.2. Is anyone else experiencing this "not updated" issue?
(Mt.Militia)_EmperorOfTyranis  [author] 11 Apr, 2018 @ 1:24pm
@Hello There - I'm looking into it right now, I hope that I can resolve this so this ceases to be an issue. I don't get it, I did update it for 2.0.2, or so I thought apparently.
Valyrian 10 Apr, 2018 @ 6:02pm
Ok, it's making my game crash after a while, I don't know what the problem is, but it seems as long as it says incompatible with 2.0.2 I will keep on crashing after some time =/
dead_claw_171 10 Apr, 2018 @ 11:20am
i gotta say i love the description
(Mt.Militia)_EmperorOfTyranis  [author] 7 Apr, 2018 @ 8:54am
@Mini Xperts - Thanks! Happy to bring this mod to the hundreds who've subscribed!
Mini Xperts 7 Apr, 2018 @ 7:46am
Rated up just for the description. Joking great mod thanks a lot
(Mt.Militia)_EmperorOfTyranis  [author] 6 Apr, 2018 @ 7:25pm
@Hello There - Well, as long as it works! Happy to provide this convenient mod to you and the other nearly 400 subscribers! And future ones
Valyrian 5 Apr, 2018 @ 5:25pm
So..stil says incompatible, unsubscribed, restarted steam, subscribed again. No idea what the problem is but welll, it works anyways so thanks!
(Mt.Militia)_EmperorOfTyranis  [author] 4 Apr, 2018 @ 4:26am
@Hello There - For the record this is literally my only mod and the first time I've ever created one. I just uploaded the mod again, I think that ought to do the trick now. Do let me know if it's still incompatible... although really it's not, it's still playable either way.
Valyrian 3 Apr, 2018 @ 5:38pm
Hey, it's still flagged as incompatible, I don't know why
(Mt.Militia)_EmperorOfTyranis  [author] 1 Apr, 2018 @ 5:20pm
@LGWhiteWolf - It shouldn't. There's only two lines of code really that make the mod, and I'm quite certain that it's nothing that would break compatibility like... old FTL mods.
LGWhiteWolf 1 Apr, 2018 @ 2:23pm
It is still flaged as outdated, but for the moment, this doesnt seem to create issues while playing
(Mt.Militia)_EmperorOfTyranis  [author] 1 Apr, 2018 @ 12:48pm
@LGWhiteWolf - Still waiting for it? It should be working for 2.0.2 now
LGWhiteWolf 1 Apr, 2018 @ 10:17am
Great, i patiently wait for it then. Thanks a lot
(Mt.Militia)_EmperorOfTyranis  [author] 30 Mar, 2018 @ 5:05pm
@LGWhiteWolf - Of course. I just got back from a vacation down in the Florida, I meant to go see what was up the moment I got back.
LGWhiteWolf 30 Mar, 2018 @ 4:04am
Hello. The recent 2.0.2 update do not support this mod anymore. Can we hope a fix ?
(Mt.Militia)_EmperorOfTyranis  [author] 19 Mar, 2018 @ 12:04pm
@ DancingDimsum - Yes, they do. It's not specifically geared towards players. AI can barely afford a fleet on their own without starving their people.
Ozymandiasb 18 Mar, 2018 @ 6:57pm
thx for the mod! i just want to ask if AI also get this reduction?
(Mt.Militia)_EmperorOfTyranis  [author] 15 Mar, 2018 @ 9:38am
Wait... oh dang, the description deleted... hm... strange. That's being fixed.
(Mt.Militia)_EmperorOfTyranis  [author] 15 Mar, 2018 @ 9:37am
So that, in essence, is a 75% decrease
(Mt.Militia)_EmperorOfTyranis  [author] 15 Mar, 2018 @ 9:36am
@ Star Chaser - In comparison, that same cruiser that cost 2.81 in the first image, costs a little over 11 minerals in vanilla
Boxington Washington 13 Mar, 2018 @ 3:46pm
Reduced by how much?
